Why does the headline say he was arrested for spoilers and then the actual article explains its a rerelease of an old game and that he was arrested for monetization of something he didnt own?

Reminds me of that indie shitter that wanted streamers to pay a licence to stream a game and the absolute homosexuals here that defended him

    >The YouTuber also uploaded videos from the anime adaptation of the game and Spy x Family, another animated show
Feel like this is more of a reason for his arrest, not that anyone should be arrested over this

The funniest shit was how that sunk the publisher.
    >authorize a vtuber to stream game
    >vtuber streams game
    >CEO shouts NOOOOOOOO NOT LIKE THAT and DMCA's the vtuber 5 minutes later
    >vtuber's talent agency is on the phone 10 minutes later demanding an explanation

Not that anon, but iirc, Rio and something from Steins Gate devs.

Also Rio is a guy vtuber.

For extra context, Rio works for Cover Corp, most known for Hoe-girlve.

Funnily enough, they spent like 2 years just streaming whatever without permissions for it because apparently nobody in the company knew what the frick they were doing, and only started getting copyright strikes after one of the talents streamed Ghost Trick on the DS, which would have required a modded DS to stream.

After that, the company got some shit together and became super anal about getting permissions down in writing, not even allowing talents to stream games with generic streaming guidelines if there were any, it had to specifically include Cover. So the fact that they got a copyright strike for this stream after all that was pretty messed up.

IIRC for the specific context of this incident, there were guidelines on a X amount of time they were allowed to stream, but then the publisher? of the game actually publically said "Yeah, Rio can go over the timelimit, we're cool with it", then their CEO of the game DMCA'd them.

Kadokawa games? They don't even encrypt their save files like Capcom and Bandai Namco do. Guess they're just really protective of this IP.
