Are all the bad steam reviews simply Sony fanboys that refunded the game after review bombing?

These copes are so tired. Just accept that starfield flopped and move on
>flopped
> still top seller on steam
Cheaper to play on gamepass but has 300k plus players rn on steam.
Whose coping?
so? the terrible barbie movie made $1.402 billion. unless youre a shareholder why do you care about sales?
you can say its a bad game but when you say flop you imply it didn't sell well which it clearly has.
it's not meeting sales expectations though. theyve only been reporting "players" which includes game pass
The game cost Bethesda 400 million to make. Microsoft bought Bethesda for 7.5 Billion. The game is available on game pass for 10 dollars right now, and a non zero amount are playing on the 1$ game pass version and won’t resubscribe. Let’s say for every player they make 30$ because some are on game pass and steam takes a cut. That would require 13.3 million players to break even for how much Bethesda invested. After that 13.3 million then they can start making a profit. But, they are going to have to patch the game and make DLC that might not sell well since people ordered the premium edition. Dead Space 2 had a budget of 60$ million and made a net loss by only selling 4 million copies. Yeah, if this game doesn’t get around 15 million players through all system, it’s loosing them money. They would need 20 million players for them to make an actual profit. Plus, Microsoft want to make money off of their billion invested. So this game unironically is a complete failure if it doesn’t have 30 million players and makes over a billion in revenue by the end of the year, it’s a complete flop.
>has 300k plus players rn on steam.
That's very impressive. This means they only need to sell 492,375,421 more copies at full price in order for microsoft to break even on their bethesda purchase.
>Just accept that starfield flopped and move on
define flopped.
Wow. A big budget normie title from a normie company constantly fellated by the whole industry gets lots of fellatio from people that get paid exactly go fellate product released by big budget normie game companies.
What a shocker.
Define flopped.
Cope more bud.
>literally who
>73% positive kek
>nooo you can’t hate a game unless you spend an entire wagie shift playing it!!!!
Copium Maximus.
Made less money than cost to make it. All those scores come from paid marketing shills, and that adds to the cost too.
Yes Starfield is the ultimate slow burn
My GOTY
>slow burn
Is anyone even going to fall for this shit after Fallout 4?
After BG3 and Rubicon, it's pretty obvious retards don't have a leg to stand on.
Stop! The game sucks! That's all there is to it!
i pirated the 99 dollar paypig version. my review isnt there. not recommended.
let me introduce you to this concept of sunk cost fallacy
Star sisters we are peaking
Numbers go up
>73%
HAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHA
who the fuck is /V
I pirated the game and played through the entire story and played several side missions and leveled my character to the point where I could unlock all ship parts and can definitively say the story is fucking terrible the game play is terrible the side missions are terrible the optimization is terrible and the ship customization is fucking terrible
I am playing the crimson fleet questline.
Its pretty solid a lot of choice and betrayal opportunity. You get out of this game what you put into it
Hi Todd.
There is a quest in the first city you go to where you get to choose whether or not to turn in your quest to someone else rather than the quest giver for the offer of a high payout and after doing so the character will say that the trade authority will remember what you've done for them This supposed high payout is literally the exact same amount of money you would get for giving it to the original quest giver you do not get any discounts with the trade authority you do not get any special extra quests you do not get any special extra dialogue you get nothing there is no effect of this it does not matter what you do
And to be perfectly clear this quest involves you walking from point a to point b to point c to point d and clicking a button to flip a switch in the game at each point with no gameplay
Go replay that great quest line with all the choice and betrayal and just quicksave quickload Before & After every choice and see what the differences and you'll realize there is none
>people who like a game will play it for 8 hours and people who dont wont
A hard concept to grasp
more like sub 8 hours: the repetition hasnt hit yet. and +20 hours: sunken cost so high youre bargaining.
Repetition hits literally the first time you go to any planet
normalfags will be trapped in new atlantis first couple of hours doing fetch quests.
Yeah, the people who paid $100 for the game are going to have a hard time admitting they were had.
its pure cope because they cant refund it anymore
China assblasted goty is slipping from their niche crpg no one cares about. Even after spending millions on account bots
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
>Half those totals at launch week
WOW it's going to sell more than any other Bethesda game in a quarter of the time the old oens did. That's incredible. Sony is done.
Anyone who was gonna buy it already has
>He doesn't know
lmao you will be in chinese prison forever
I hate people born after 2001 you are all the same copy pasted bland parrots
cope
STOP THE COUNT
Fallout 4 peaked at 472k players on steam against 2 consoles and Bethesda launcher, since then steam tripled in size.
In 2023, Starfield can't even beat fallout 4 against ONE dead console (20 million units, steam wipes the floor with it several times) and ONE dead store.
>But gamepass 6 million players
1.)Forza Horizon 5 had 10 million players in 2021 and gamepass numbers grew since then
2.)Steam is probably making up 1-2 million of those players. Let's be generous and give 1 million xbox+Microsoft store.
3.)Even a well known flop, Hi-Fi Rush, managed to clear 2 million players thanks to gamepass
4.)Most importantly, steamfags are extremely loyal to their online drm store, which is why claiming they went to Microsoft store is fucking laughable.
5.) In total, the gamepass deal drew 3-4 mil players. But what is "player"? A person clicked on the play button once.
Bonus:
>but one million concurrent players bearchuds btfo!
Baldur's Gate also came out on gog, and gog numbers are unknown.
What kind of person keeps playing a game they don't like?
The kind that got told the game magically becomes good like 15 hours in, and wasn't informed it just involves restarting the game but you're Space Dragonborn from Skyrim
>game kinda sucks
>it has bethesda game vibe so maybe it gets better
>damn these copy paste facilities keep repeating... but maybe theres an unique location just around the corner(tm).. i gotta keep looking
>these quests suck. the writing is awful.. but maybe theres a good quest just around the corner(tm)
>30 hours later
>i give up. the game sucks
i said that btw. and i look like a soijak
This game without a doubt did not meet sales expectations so far. I doubt it will do Fallout 4 numbers let alone Skyrim numbers even if you factor in Gamepass and exclusivity.
>why don't people keep playing a game they think is dogshit so their review can "count"
OH NOO NOOOO
Ahahahaha oh no no no it's real. Starsisters why are you using old screenshots to protect your little game?
The game went from good to amazing exactly after 12 hours for me
Same for me there were dull points especially in the begging but once you learn the systems and get in a good faction quest line and get skills the game is pretty good and addicting
I don't care if Starfield does well or bad because I'll automatically assume it's just an AAA slob Skyrim/Fallout 4 in space but truthfully, this game has such high requirements that it genuinely can't be played by a big portion of PC players. I couldn't play it even if I wanted. Steam charts are misleading when it comes to this game.
Go compare console players.
works on my 3070ti
It's not even an rpg ffs
?si=WIBxaJl8szfYeR1D
the steam rating when converted to a score out of 10 is roughly 6.25
I have never spent 8 years doing something I didn't like
>people who eat shit have no taste
Wow. Who would have thought.
It's called copium and selection bias.
If you played for 2 hours ofc you'l return it because the next 6 hours isn't going to be much better. People who've played it for 8 hours, can't return it, so they'll pretend they enjoy it because you've paid a lot of fucking money to play it.
There are millions of people who will play through webm related and see nothing wrong with it, and they'll leave 10/10 grades and make youtube essays about how Todd changed their lives. Expecting a videogame's rating to be an accurate representation of quality is futile.
this is literally what killed the game for me. repeated locations i can live with. maybe the buildings were made by the same contractor. but the same exact clutter is repeated. the same coffee mug on a desk. the same corpse in the showers. the same toy motorcycle on top of a locker. what the fuck were they thinking?
Please understand, Bethesda is a small company, they ran out of time and money and couldn't finish the procedural clutter generation code.
Yeah those people are called marketing srones
Still blows my mind that people will shell out 70 bucks just to leave a bad steam review.
If you don't like Bethesda games, you aren't going to like Starfield, simple as that.
It's like buying Elden Ring and leaving a bad review because there is too much dodge rolling or it's too grimdark.
Motherfuckers these days act like you can't watch lets plays for every game and decide if you should buy it.
But what if I like Bethesda games and don't like Starfield? Could it be because the game is boring shit?
It's because you're too poor to afford a rig that can properly handle Starfield's quality.
you got that tik tok brain.
Cant enjoy slow burns anymore.
if skyrim came out today you would probably call it boring
Joke's on you, chud. I called Skyrim boring when it came out.
oh, you're retarded. got it.
>But what if I like Bethesda games and don't like Starfield?
idk what to tell you man it's classic bethesda, with some procgen added
it called sunken fallacy you retard
Or maybe Starfield is so shit you quit it in less than eight hours.
wow normalfags like bethshit. who'd have thought.
>human beings who actually play games enjoy it
>subhumans who would only play if it were on playstation or just don't play games at all hate it
>steam reviews keep sinking
>journo reviews keep sinking
>gamepass reviews in the toilet
it's actually over, bethesda lost
>shazamchuds buy the game, give a bad review, refund, just to manipulate the scores
>i-it's chinese bots boosting BG3 numbers
>i-it's a coordinated effort to lower Starfield scores
>p-player numbers on Steam don't count
it was our time to shine Starsisters, but we never stood a chance
sirr 30 million possible players sir
redeem the 6 million players at one time sir please sir
the 20 million sales sir do not ignore
There are also lots of BG3chuds who are review bombing the game, every second not recommended is BG3chud with 100+ hours.
It’s the exact same on Reddit, the majority of people shitting on the game are regulars on either r/ps5 or r/BG3
I have over 80 hours and still think fo4 is better, however, the weapon modification is an improvement
Yeah, because people who don't drop the game after 8 hours of playtime are more likely to have liked the game. Not everyone is a professional critic who can waste 8+ hrs to "make sure it doesn't get better" and "provide accurate criticism about the game".
If I had known how had outpost shipping lanes were, I'd have refunded. This is worse than pulling teeth.
I'm just going to setup 1 outpost as a base on some deserted moon and wait until mods at least enable a shared inventory across outposts/ships.
Steam only guarantees a refund if played for under 2 hours so if the first 2 hours are boring, people will leave a negative review then they'll refund the game. It's Bethesda's fault if the start of the game is boring.
Do you not notice what that implies? Everyone who thinks its shit drops it before 8 hours because its so bad.
if it were a stock i would buy it
Okay champ. See you Monday with your new investment.
I bet a lot of people that are playing it on game pass and likes it will buy it on Steam after this month end
Are people actually being paid to shill Starfield here?
Some pajeets probably. Mostly its just a discord full of trannies orchestrating the shills.
dude i just finish it, the only thing i liked is the new game plus twist, this is one soulless, boring and mediocre game.
>retards stupid enough to think the game is good played more of it
>people only just dumb enough to give Todd the liar more money stopped playing after realizing they were duped yet again
Bethesda cultists would eat shit. Also, shilling is highly likely.
We desperately need a required admission that every review clearly states
>I'M NOT PAID BY BETHESDA!
>IN MY FAMILY IS NO ONE WORKING FOR BETHESDA!
>I WAS NOT INVOLVED IN THE GAME AND I'M ALSO NOT DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY FINANCIALLY INVOLVED WITH STARFIELD!
You would see those "27k+" would drop to maybe even hundreds
This is the most retarded cope i ever heard. No shit the people who like the game are going to play more
Are you surprised bethesda is paying people to shill their garbage? https://youtu.be/5zDjSrZ9Fsc
