Valve screwed over the Artifact fanbase by cancelling the Artifact 2.0 beta without even allowing users to invite friends like they said they would in January 2021 and does not deserve your financial support for these gross consumer-unfriendly practices.

I'm still butthurt that Valve botched Underlords, stopped supporting it, and fractured Dota's autobattler playerbase into underlords, auto chess, dota autochess, and a variety of other custom games. Hearthstone and LOL are cringe but Battlegrounds and TFT are legitimately fun and I play both. I really wish there was a good, polished, actively supported autobattler using Dota's lore. Dotards have demonstrated they will spend obscene amounts on battlepasses and cosmetic shit. It would literally print money for them I don't get it :/
Even Dota 2 and CSGO barely qualify as "live service" as valve basically does the absolute bare minimum for these games in terms of new content, not to mention the others on this list.

All they had to do was put the creators of the mod in charge of the official game (like the did with Dota) instead of making their own and then abandoning it, but apparently for whatever reason they couldn't strike a deal. Even if they at least just supported Underlords that would be okay but they game died because they literally just stopped supporting it.

Exactly. As Valve gamers we are like neglected children. It's a chicken vs egg situation because the game would have had more players if they put more effort into it. TFT, for example, gets an insane amount of content that Dota players cannot even fathom. Regular updates that completely change up all of the synergies and shit along with visual updates doing things like rotating in and out new units, changing visuals including using cosmetics from summoners rift, etc. to change the feel of the game visually, and also adding / removing various mechanics, switching up pve rounds, etc. to keep the game feeling fresh. Not to mention a battle pass with cosmetics and a constant stream of additional cosmetics monetized with microtransactions to make it profitable. If Valve put even a fraction of this effort into Underlords it would be way more popular.
Underlords is a fee game but still gets 2000 players. If they'd bring back rotations they could let it go and it'd have more replayability. Did any of the other autochesses get a duos mode? That's the one thing they did better than anyone else
TFT has duos, I have fun with it but I definitely enjoy solo play much more
TFT is so good because Riot puts a lot of money into allowing them to cycle through sets often enough to keep the game fresh and the lead game designer is good at the game and actively interacts with the community regularly to directly gauge feedback on certain design decisions

TF2 moving to source 2 would be such a boon in terms of performance. Even if it still has all the old spaghetti code I'd be willing to bet it'd jump to double the current FPS for most users.
Considering it had to render twice for Alyx, and at that level of visuals, with that smooth framerate, I'm confident it'd be a huge boost.

So Neon Prime got cancelled right? The trademark filing was last October and nothing else has happened. What a nothingburger.

It's been 6 fucking months and nothing has happened.
In that same amount of time (Maybe even LESS) I have seen trademarks for Nintendo games materialize into an actual product announcement either in an isolated press release or just in time for E3.
The game got cancelled. It isn't out of the ordinary for Valve. In fact cancelling a game at the last minute sounds very Valve of them to do. If they had any plans they woulf have acted on them during TI, or during their own press release around Christmas or New Years. There is really no reason to wait this long, and Valve aren't known to go to events to announce shit besides that one time for Portal 2 on PS3. E3 this year is also cancelled. It's just been too long with too little smoke.
And lastly, you need to realizea majority of "info" comes from Tyler Mcmoron who is no reliable at all. Even he backpedaled last December and started muttering that the game was cancelled too.
Really from all that we have heard from it, it seems like a very ill advised move on their part. People hate Valve for Dota 2 already, why would they make ANOTHER live service esports game? They can barely tend to their 3 games as it is, with TF2 being effectively dead. The optics right now are just really really bad. I can see them looking at the hype building around the trademark from players and them stepping back and saying "Is this a good idea?"
I don't watch Tyler Mcmoron and there have been actual reliable people corroborating what Neon Prime is
