Wait, do people really think Sandy Shocks is a Kiss/hair metal reference? I thought it was very clearly wearing kabuki theatre kumadori makeup.

        >past paradox are "ancient"

Because they believe the meme of "pokémon is westernised now". Obstagoon was the glam rock/metal reference, made by a westerner to boot but SaSho's design didn't scream "WESTERN MUSICAL REFERENCE" to me, so assumed it was something regarding the devs' culture.

Both of those are a massive reach

      >something regarding the devs’ culture
Anon it’s a caveman with caveman face paint. The devs didn’t think that hard about the paradox designs and neither should you.

      >Typical sharp "eye wings" make up.
Idk anon. I think I'm right and you're wrong.

That's just tiny eye makeup. Is there any other reason to think it might be a reference to this particular thing?

Just vibes really. It's what I thought of immediately and didn't think twice about it until I saw people saying it was a hair metal rocker. It's the dead-eyed, piercing glare from the mono-eye, the deliberate choice to give it a permanent scowl instead of leaving it mouthless, the evocative sharp make up, and the spiky hair knot. It all paints that picture for me visually in such an (I thought) obvious way that I didn't even question it. Am I the only one that sees this or am I like actually delusional?

I was wondering where this makeup came from because it looks out of place so there's something in it for sure. I just assumed it's part of caveman motif.

It's supposed to look tribal. Face and body paint/tattoos are often found in indigenous cultures.

I hate tertiaries so much. Look at how long is this larp thread because none of those mouth breathing castrated gay knows what are magnet powders

Hi, ESL creature. Do you mind explaining how this is a "live action roleplay thread?"

It's still made to look like hair, don't act like it isn't.

OP here. The hair made by the stray iron shavings is pretty smart because it not only emulates how metal debris collects on magnets but it is also styled to look like the common hair knot in JP media like picrel.
    >DON'T THINK ABOUT IT DON'T THINK ABOUT IT IT'S ACTUALLY NOTHING YOU'RE THINKING TOO HARD
Sandy Shocks is my bromon, one of my favs. Shiny Magneton is my favorite shiny of all time and I was happy to see this cool savage kabukimon with my fav guy's likeness and SaSho even retained the cool qualities of shiny Magneton (pale gold body, completely dark grey magnets). I am GOING TO think about it.

Question. Why can't it be both?
Maybe it's a kabuki caveman, it wouldn't be the first time Gamefreak mixes themes like this.

I think it can be both, sure! I was just flabberghasted when what I see as the kabuki angle wasn't the main discourse around it's design and in fact was completely absent. I just wanna discuss my bro with anons, you know? Maybe spread some good will or some cool insight on him that isn't being talked about.

Uh isn't it just taking on the physical traits of the common caveman/primitive-tribal? Fuck no it's not based on Kiss/Heavy Metal.
