anyone complaining that a boss fight in elden ring doesn't let them have thoughtful planning is retarded. this is just hyperbole born from someone trying too hard to fit in
    >what if i get it to charge me off a bridge?
this is on par with "wait a minute that card". have a nice day

anon what the fuck are you talking about, all you do is i-frames to his attacks then hit him, just like in Elden Ring

      >newfag thinks it always was this way
Until the DaS 2 DLC, avoiding attacks by simply moving outside their range was not only viable but often the best strategy: back then rolling used to cost a fair bit of stamina, and saving it for attacks used to be important.

in das2 dlc you could and should still do that though

The DLC enemies had even jankier hitboxes and tracking than the vanilla ones, couple that with the obscene resists (ice enemies with a minimum 60% fire resist WTF) and you had some pretty unfun areas.

I've always played the first dark souls by rolling through things, the only time I didn't was when I wasn't aware I had i-frames.

This is why I don't like the series after Demon's Souls

I unironically just wanted more slow comfy atmospheric dungeon crawls, I wish Deep Down was real

        I completely agree with this.
In old fromsoft games the bosses were part of the entire package and not the defining factor.

When one mistake kills you instantly, you have made one of two mistakes or both of them. You have either not invested in the slightest into increasing your health, or you've wandered into the wrong neighborhood, motherfucker!
When you don't know what enemies do and you react wrong as a result, that's not supposed to instantly kill you.

        >HURR DURR VIGOR CHECK!!!!!
Funny how the previous games didn't need to inflate attack values to offer a challenge.

you had to look up a strategy guide for dark souls...?

fast souls was a mistake. literally the only thing they had to do to fix the formula was make it so there was iframes only when you were rolling away from an attack.

        >messing with the I Win button
The only thing DS2 did was fuck over casual players with its dogshit hitboxes, people in the know always beelined to their desired AGI and steamrolled through the game because it gave you retarded amounts of iframes
