We need new baby Pokemon
No, we need more Tyrogues.
A miltank/taurus prevo and a Throh/Sawk prevo.
There must be other pairings.
>There must be other pairings.
Volbeat/Illumise, Plusle/Minun, Oranguru/Passimian
I like this one for sure.
The others could do with evos
When you have to choose between medical school or following your passion for sports
I would LOVE this one
We just got Toxel.
We *JUST* got Toxel.
No we don't
We don't. Baby Pokemon were part of the reason why Johto's Pokedex was such garbage
Scyther is actually one of the few good candidates for a baby.
Nonestly, Baby Pokemon should be just interactive eggs, instead of occupying an evolution slot.
Most babies are fine because they allow a pokemon to have much broader distribution throughout the game than its stats would otherwise allow.
It's just the babies of already-shitty pokemon like Pichu and Igglybuff that are wastes of time.
No we fucking don't. Baby pokemon was the worst and most pointless edition. It just fucking takes up unnecessary space, cant breed, need friendship evolution all the time
Please no, Azurill was more than enough by itself.
I wish all of these were real.
I miss Baby Pokémon. They’re such a cool concept for a believable world building.
That baby Tropius looks really bad.
The only good one of these is onix
They're all too cute, I'd never evolve them. You need some ugly ones. Like Tyrogue, Elekid and Magby.
I'm with this Anon. These are just too cute.
>Just make the pokemon smaller bro
All of these deserve to be aborted
>>Just make the pokemon smaller bro
That's actually a great idea. Instead of making separate baby evo, just make it a property of all hatched pokemon. Scale body down, scale head up, change pitch of pokemon cries, lower the stats, disable breeding, and voila! Hundreds of babies. To compensate make eggs hatch faster.
How would you fix baby Pokemon?
As it stands, you either have:
>Clefables: where you are fucked if you want to breed one, because you always get babies, and you need to evolve them through friendship before they can breed
>Snorlaxs: where you don't get the baby unless you decide to fuck yourself over and give the mother an Incense to hold (which makes it defacto incompatible with Pokemon breeding, as you want the Father and Mother to hold Everstone and Destiny Knot)
>Magmars: Pokemon whose baby form doesn't evolve through friendship, still a shitty roadblock if you want to breed it, but not as awful as friendship grind. The evolved pokemon usually is decent
The only instance where baby Pokemon were executed correctly was the Togepi egg, or Budew in DP, which was available as an early route shitmon, and getting friendship evos is quite fast in the early game
>Make baby pokemon available early on, so players have an incentive to use them and their evolution
>Crossgen alternative evolutions only available starting from the baby mon, so you have a reason to go out of the way to get them
Babies are born without item usage and naturally evolve at level gates, but lower than 30.
Incenses need to go. GF got over their retcon allergy in gen 8 so incenses no longer make any kind of sense.
They should reconnect them, they reconnected the egg-group, type, Ability-HA, and evolution method of some pokemon, radically changing their lore, and nobody gave a shit, it doesn't cost them anything to remove the incense and naturally integrate the poke -babies.
>not a larva
>having a larva
>larvesta & snom
>having a pupa stage
I'd love a normal grub that split off into the elemental grubs, into the elemental moths.
why the fuck would you ever want more babymons?
As others has said, done right, they give you early access to interesting mons, like Munchlax and shit.
The issue is there is tons of baby bloat from Gen 2 and then when they added say, Chingling, it wasn't exactly for an interesting pokemon in the first place, or you have Mantyke which you can only get at the 8th gym.
I think SwSh was the only time it was really effective for team building. But that's anecdotal.
>Earlier or easier access to certain mons
>More believability (Kangaskhan still to this day hatches with a child in her pouch)
>Encourages use of the breeding mechanic
>Game balance for Little Cup (Do you honestly think Scyther should be allowed there?)
>Combines related species into a branched evolution line like Tyrogue
>Exploitable merchandising even moreso than usual
Gen 2 did good with the concept, but Gen 3 ruined it with incense for reasons of avoiding retcons as others mentioned which was made more evident in Gen 4 and may very well be the reason why we haven't gotten any cross-gen pre-evos since then. I can understand why incense existed for retcon aversion, but why did there need to be one for every baby Pokémon?
I've always wanted to find a baby Kangaskhan in the wild, I don't think it's that hard to implement, I mean its mega model already exists, just use it.
>model already exists
That hasn't stopped game freak from fucking up before.
I think Gamefreak need to get the fuck over themselves with retconning stuff and it is one praise I do give to Gen 8. Eevee being able to use a Leaf Stone and Ice Stone now makes complete sense and I don't give a fuck that it couldn't for 7 Generations prior. Yeah in universe it makes no sense, but a normal adjusted person can tell, "It didn't use it for 7 Generations because they didn't code it"
You can even evolve Lv100s now with SwSh. They added some good QoL for once
So they can fill the obligatory cuteshit quota and we can have regular looking basic monsters for the rest of the dex.
What the fuck ia with all the baby looking shit lately
We really really dont
I can't think of anything that could be more useless and a bigger waste of time than this
Having a new battle gimmick for every new gen
We don't need new baby Pokémon.
I agree, some are needed due to the exaggerated size of certain Pokemon (Onix, Lapras) to fill plot gaps (Tauros-Miltank) and in the special case of bugmons to complete their life cycle, Heracross and Pinsir require a larva, Buzzwole a puny aquatic larval stage, Pheromosa an ugly fat nymphal stage.
I would like to see a larval and pupal pre evolution for heracross
Dude I just want a Skarmory chick is that too much to ask?
I'm shocked Lapras doesn't have one. I don't know why every pokemon doesn't have one.
>new baby Pokemon
They literally had nothing, nah
Lock me in a room with your favorite pokemon and I'll make sure you get a baby pokemon
A baby what?
every pokemon should be 3 stages
