Yeah honestly I'd say Sekiro was just DS3 but done better overall but I wanted to throw DS3 a bone because it does have some killer bosses. ER is the only one that I don't think excels at anything in particular. Felt like playing the videogame equivalent of a clip show.
Dark Souls, it improved immensely on Demons Souls without overstaying it's welcome. I like all the souls games, but I've only beat Dark Souls 1 because I can't be bothered with games where you just absue dodge iframes and then punish your enemy with your r1. Sekiro is much better in that regard I guess, though the camera was retarded.
Good games, for sure overrated and not really that hard. I'm playing the Ninja Gaiden games rn, so much more fun to string together combos, watch out for animations that cue command grabs, rolling out of broken guards and other fun things, not just roll roll roll roll roll roll roll.
I guess what I am saying is that I play real hard games, you play consoomerslop, and I'm just better than you
>dungeon crawler >metroidvania >turn based jrpg >hack & slash >character action >rhythm game
Hmm I gotta go with Armored Core 6 because I like third person shooters
>DeS
An interesting first attempt. Good world and characters. Innovative, but linear and gimmicky. Little reason to replay. Decent, sure, but not great.
>DS1
Magical experience that redefines gaming for everyone who plays it. Masterful world design. Extremely hit and miss quality however with some baffling decisions. Marmite game.
>DS2
Shallow derivative sequel. Only diehard mental gymnasts defend it. Mediocre.
>BB
Creative take on the formula. Enjoyable, but thoroughly overrated. Just as heavily flawed and imbalanced as DS1 but goes unnoticed by most. A fun diversion but nothing more.
>DS3
Shallow, derivative sequel. More competent than 2. Great boss design but otherwise average.
>Sekiro
Extremely satisfying action game. Miyazaki's creativity and tone combined with Yamamura's attention to detail and technical competence. Probably the best game of the lot.
>Elden Ring
Open world dark souls. Not as bad as that sounds. Absorbing longform RPG. The mythical "build variety" finally exists. Derivative but made up for with impressive scope and content. Forgivably normie friendly.
1st one
It was new and the world gave you a proper feeling of being lost in a huge sprawling place, it's a good adventure
The rest of them are just processed mass produced shit resealed and then sold back to you
Dark Souls 1 changed video games forever. You can’t overstate the impact it had on the medium. But beyond that back when it first released it was an enigma. Everyone was so cautious and apprehensive with it because it was such a new experience, no one knew what the hell was happening and everyone was just trying to find their footing in it. It’s been analyses and mapped to hell and back now of course and we have a a million and one derivatives of it so the impact is significantly diminished but very few things in gaming could compare to the memory of blindly stumbling through it on your own and piecing stuff together for the first time back then.
Demons souls had a raw ballsy energy to it that was unmatched, dark souls took that energy and largely refined it but lost some of the ballsiness, everything else is very divorced from the first two
I would say DS1 overall >Best atmosphere >Bosses are there to tell a story >Areas are challenging but fair
DS2 is great but its troubled development process shows and it fell hard into the "hardcore game for hardcore gamers" meme, which is a + for some people but most people are casuals
BB
Fresh take on the formula and a smooth new engine, it takes a more casual approach to fixing the issues in the DS series compared to the giant fuck you to the player DS2 did
DS3
Soulless, failed to see what made BB and the latter souls game so great. Made during the height of the souls game popularity and was most peoples first souls game.
ER
Boring overworld, would have been better if they made the game more linear with hundreds of branching paths. But has the best bosses and weapon variety
Elden Ring suffers on Ganker the most because it embodies the anti-hobbyist ideal, pretty good at a lot of things but excels at nothing (except magic, it's probably the best magic). If you take everything that it offered and didn't have some autistic need for a 100% completionist run, it's among the top 3 best From games.
Elden Ring has the best combat, the best levels, the best bosses, the best build options. It's by far the best and most competent of them all on the virtue of it not being another flavour of dodge and light attack spam meta
Demon's Souls, everything it does right is fantastic while being brand new and innovative, multiplayer was at its most rawest and funnest and wasn't hindered to coddle for the casual player that wants nothing to do with it, the later games never managed to truly improve over Demon's Souls and each came with its own problems that held them back.
>No story >Barren open world >No challenge >Dualwielding makes the game even more trivial >Input reading >Magic is overpowered >No mimics >Just summon ashes to win, bro! >Bosses are easier to stagger now, meaning the game is even more casual friendly >Most weapon abilities trivialize the game >Like 75% of the game is optional >No solo invasions >No covenants, meaning that PvP has no point >4 endings are the same (kek) >Teleports (WHAT THE FUCK WERE THEY THINKING?????) >Intro is a powerpoint slideshow >"Altering costumes" system is the dumbest idea ever >Fast travel >They changed Malenia's white VA to black for woke points (OH NO NO) >All big bosses are garbage >Cuck shit >Feminist shit >Simp shit >Furry shit >chud shit >Gay shit >Pedophile shit >You have to simp for a woman in order to access some of the game's content (lmao) >Paid DLC >Final boss is a chud and a giant fish instead of kino old man battle like in literally all previous games >Skyrim dungeons (that have no rewards) >Boss reuse >Asset reuse >Worst camera ever
Is Elden Ring the worst game of all time?
>They changed Malenia's white VA to black for woke points (OH NO NO)
Tell me you’re joking >Cuck shit >Feminist shit >Simp shit >Furry shit >chud shit >Gay shit >Pedophile shit >You have to simp for a woman in order to access some of the game's content (lmao) >Final boss is a chud
Huh?
Playing demons souls when it came out was fucking awesome, such a breath of fresh air at the time. When Dark Souls came out it was also amazing, pretty much until the PC version came out then the whole series turned to reddit
Theyre all equally good
They are all equally shit
3 because best boss fights
All have their ups and downs but Bloodborne is still From’s magnum opus
Bloodborne fans are so fucking annoying. No, it isn't. Build variety is worse than anything besides fucking Sekiro, and it's by far the easiest game.
you can reply to him you know
Literally no ITT mentioned bloodborne. Who are you replying to?
>snarky reply with no contribution of their own
let’s hear which ones the best then buster
fucking they/them pronouns. kill youself already you fucking zoomer gay
Shut the fuck up and take your meds maggot it’s basic grammar not chud speak
you are one dumb retard
Sekiro
ac6 of course
It’s definitely not DS2 or Sekiro.
holy shit filtered hard
>Mentions the only 2 games in the franchise that can actually filter people
KEK
Dark Souls 3 did some stuff wrong but man it hit a lot of stuff right with me too, I think it was fitting end for the series.
Elden Ring > Bloodborne > Dark Souls 1 > Demon's Souls > Dark Souls 3 = Dark Souls 2
Sekiro isn't a souls game, but if you consider it, I would say it's better than DS3.
These. Bloodborne and Elden Ring are the most fulfilling experiences.
>DeS
Best mood
>DaS
Best world design
>DS2
Best content variety
>DS3
Best bosses
>BB
Best weapons
>Sekiro
Best combat
>Elden Ring
Lmao.
Agree with this list, but I like Sekiros bosses more than 3's, simply because Isshin is so memorable.
Yeah honestly I'd say Sekiro was just DS3 but done better overall but I wanted to throw DS3 a bone because it does have some killer bosses. ER is the only one that I don't think excels at anything in particular. Felt like playing the videogame equivalent of a clip show.
Agreed, ER could’ve stood out more by fleshing out its open world more but just fell flat.
It’s still Demon’s Souls and it’s not up for debate
SEKIRO. IS. NOT. SOULS.
>Demon's Souls
>Demon's Souls 2: Heavy Armor edition
>Demon's Souls 3: ADP edition

Lol, lmao, ask me the question again when you swap those three with the actual games
>last tier
Nice

Yup. DS just has the sovl to it
>dungeon crawler
>metroidvania
>turn based jrpg
>hack & slash
>character action
>rhythm game
Hmm I gotta go with Armored Core 6 because I like third person shooters
my favorite is bb
best setting best combat best bosses, in my opinion of course
Elden ring is the best
Bloodborne is up there on account of its soundtrack alone.
>DeS

bloodborne because it's still a ps4 exclusive
Unequivocally BB and it's not even up for debate
I would say DS1 overall

They all suck compared to AC6
nice GOLD gay. 1v1 me uwont
Sekiro because it's the only one with a good combat system.
Demons, the remake
Elden Ring suffers on Ganker the most because it embodies the anti-hobbyist ideal, pretty good at a lot of things but excels at nothing (except magic, it's probably the best magic). If you take everything that it offered and didn't have some autistic need for a 100% completionist run, it's among the top 3 best From games.
I did a magic build for my first playthrough so maybe that helps. It feels like the first game to really give it the strongest emphasis.
Elden Ring has the best combat, the best levels, the best bosses, the best build options. It's by far the best and most competent of them all on the virtue of it not being another flavour of dodge and light attack spam meta
BB is still one of my favorite games ever. Great lore, great weapons, great characters, great soundtrack, great bosses.
more like suckiro

Huh?
It is either BB or Sekiro. Honorable mention to DS1 and 2.
Bloodborne and I don't need to explain my reasons.
Sekiro > Bloodborne > everything else can fight over third place because these 2 games are the only thing that matters.
Bloodborne >= Sekiro > Elden Ring > the rest
DS3 having the best bosses is such a fucking meme.
>list of shit games
You forgot to include Elden Ring.
Basphemous
>Why
Legit good setting for once.
Hispanicy
Playing demons souls when it came out was fucking awesome, such a breath of fresh air at the time. When Dark Souls came out it was also amazing, pretty much until the PC version came out then the whole series turned to reddit
1 > 3 > BB > 2
haven't played the rest quite yet.
Bloodborne is so god damn overrated. It's good but it's not the best stoppit.
DS1 > Bloodborne >= Sekiro > Elden Ring > DS3 > DS2 > DeS
Simple as.
