Very much so, the challenge is really nice without feeling too oppressive. It escalates well, though some of the BBS requests can absolutely blindside you and one boss in particular is the game telling you it's done fricking around.

Hasn't been updated for a few months but before that the one guy working on it was doing bugfixes. Life might've just got in the way. He could finish the postgame since he's supposed to have implemented half of everything already and the rest is just pieced together concepts from the original dev he has to make complete assets for, but it will definitely never get online play.
Yeah, I really should go back to finish B3 sometime but I don't care for the driving minigame, the world feels so segmented, and I can't bring myself to care for the story because of the cast gone, the gameplay is still great but everything else feels like a downgrade.

First game arguably has the best plot and most antagonists are just cornered humans being emotionally manipulated by FM-ians that get plenty of attention like that teacher that was trying to balance doing right by his students and not just prioritizing grades and keeping his job to feed his family. It makes you grow attached to the growing cast. 2nd one was pretty goddamn terrible but you might as well blow through it once to understand why.

First game arguably has the best plot and most antagonists are just cornered humans being emotionally manipulated by FM-ians that get plenty of attention like that teacher that was trying to balance doing right by his students and not just prioritizing grades and keeping his job to feed his family. It makes you grow attached to the growing cast. 2nd one was pretty goddamn terrible but you might as well blow through it once to understand why.

I don't like platformers either but MMBN hit just right. I guess that's why they make so many different types of games so everyone can enjoy it. Other than selling easy with brand recognition.

you shouldn't need to use a PA more than twice if your deck is built right. BN3 is a very stunlock to kill game. Like 70% of the utility of folderback is getting a starting reroll if you get it off

No. It purports to have "all ten games" but the reality is they're just counting the different versions of 3-6 as wholly separate games. So it's only got 1-6. No BCC, no 4.5, no Network Transmission, and not even the DS version of 5.

I mean, when you put two sprightly, energetic boys together like Rock and Netto, they're bound to get up to something naughty sooner or later. Gotta burn off that excess energy somehow, right? Also man, I really love dominant MegaMan/submissive Lan. Whew...
They are mostly raw damage but you can abuse them for extra perks like field control or bugs. Regular crosses work better if you have a consistent folder.
story content is usually too easy to justify using them and they're not great for getting sub 10 second records either

I'm cautious. The font in the mini direct looks stupid and I seriously hope it's part of the optional "filter" mode. It's also curious that it isn't present in the Capcom trailer when reading is such a big part of the game. Seeing the new font also makes me worry about possible censorship, as it constitutes a modification to the original game texts. But if the original versions are playable in their untouched state, then I might buy it for my younger brothers. All the extra stuff looks nice too.
People here have always been 50/50 for the most part. I haven't been able to care for Luna even with the massive time 3 tried to devote to her. Yeah, the drills are great but her as a character is infuriating on the best of days. Sonia had massive character development in 1 and is basically the reason Geo is even Geo, and then in 2 Geo more or less pays her back for helping him out of that hole with 3 being them finally at normal levels. With Luna she basically doesn't even become a likable character until 3. During all of 1 she's just a selfish butthole and during all of 2 she's trying to shed that skin.
I know people don't want just a retread of Lan and Mayl but they did it again and did it fine in SF so it's not like I'm mad about it myself.
Luna does get development in 1 though, and she shines in 3. Meanwhile, Sonia is awful in 2 and does nothing in 3. Look at Jack's scenario where Luna confronts him without even being able to EM wave change.

Sure, after Ophiuca when she realizes she's gotta treat Geo more like a person instead of like a selfish girl trying to put herself in a better light and even then she's still quite mean to not only Geo but Zack and Bud as well. She doesn't even begin to really treat Bud or Zack well until like 3 while she still treats Geo like she's bipolar up until around the middle-ish of 2. I'm also with you that Sonia's a moron in 2.
I can't argue in depth about this since it's been years since I played 2 and 3, I've only just recently replayed 1 which is why I have a much higher respect for Sonia and a much bigger dislike for Luna.

Her sacrificial gambits were predictable but cute. Normally I hate when a character gets press ganged into stupid shit instead of talking it out but the villain had scripted invulnerability at the time so it made some sense.

I guess. Everything she pulled in 2 was because she thought Geo would literally die if she didn't.
A lot of people are awful in 2. Luna gets good moments in 2, but those are after the opening segment where she autistically screeches at Geo for talking to another girl that just saved his life.
Granted, Luna also calls Zack a manlet in that cutscene, which is fricking hilarious.
I chose all three. As much as I like Sonia, I feel like her scene is the worst of the bunch. Comparatively Luna has the best scene, undoubtedly because it was written with her upcoming "death" in mind, though I also really like Bud's because it is the only scene that actually discusses his present limitations and capabilities.
100% is a nightmare grind if you're doing every game. I personally wouldn't recommend it.
BN1 isn't too tough since it's so simple and BN2 doesn't take too much effort if you know what you need to do. However BN3 is absurd and requires multiple grinds in specific forms to get certain chips with barely any hints at this being the case. Not to even mention the massive form grind for navicust pieces.
You'll also need to put in a code on the title screen the game doesn't tell you about to finish the postgame because why not?
If you really want to do 100% you should consider using a guide once you beat the main game. Otherwise it's basically impossible due to some things being locked behind promotional codes and other unmarked cryptic bullshit.

Imagine still being cucked into existence no matter what universe you're in. Even this version of Roll want Lan's dick and doesn't know the existence of Zero.
It's inherently fricked by being 90% fetch quest-tournament arc-fetch quest in structure, but at the very least you could try to give it a bit more variety by replacing the backtracking with new areas and cut down on the annoying minigames.
If you liked the anime I recommend you read Ryo Takamisaki's manga. It's surprisingly good and unlike the anime it actually respects and follows Bass original backstory.

Sometimes but I rarely even use crosses or beast because these things made full synchro so easy to get.
They are mostly raw damage but you can abuse them for extra perks like field control or bugs. Regular crosses work better if you have a consistent folder.

I'm cautious. The font in the mini direct looks stupid and I seriously hope it's part of the optional "filter" mode. It's also curious that it isn't present in the Capcom trailer when reading is such a big part of the game. Seeing the new font also makes me worry about possible censorship, as it constitutes a modification to the original game texts. But if the original versions are playable in their untouched state, then I might buy it for my younger brothers. All the extra stuff looks nice too.

Battle Network 4 has an infamously bad translation. Not bad enough that it impedes gameplay, but the game is bad on its own anyway.

People here have always been 50/50 for the most part. I haven't been able to care for Luna even with the massive time 3 tried to devote to her. Yeah, the drills are great but her as a character is infuriating on the best of days. Sonia had massive character development in 1 and is basically the reason Geo is even Geo, and then in 2 Geo more or less pays her back for helping him out of that hole with 3 being them finally at normal levels. With Luna she basically doesn't even become a likable character until 3. During all of 1 she's just a selfish butthole and during all of 2 she's trying to shed that skin.
I know people don't want just a retread of Lan and Mayl but they did it again and did it fine in SF so it's not like I'm mad about it myself.
Luna does get development in 1 though, and she shines in 3. Meanwhile, Sonia is awful in 2 and does nothing in 3. Look at Jack's scenario where Luna confronts him without even being able to EM wave change.

Sure, after Ophiuca when she realizes she's gotta treat Geo more like a person instead of like a selfish girl trying to put herself in a better light and even then she's still quite mean to not only Geo but Zack and Bud as well. She doesn't even begin to really treat Bud or Zack well until like 3 while she still treats Geo like she's bipolar up until around the middle-ish of 2. I'm also with you that Sonia's a moron in 2.
I can't argue in depth about this since it's been years since I played 2 and 3, I've only just recently replayed 1 which is why I have a much higher respect for Sonia and a much bigger dislike for Luna.

I chose all three. As much as I like Sonia, I feel like her scene is the worst of the bunch. Comparatively Luna has the best scene, undoubtedly because it was written with her upcoming "death" in mind, though I also really like Bud's because it is the only scene that actually discusses his present limitations and capabilities.

100% is a nightmare grind if you're doing every game. I personally wouldn't recommend it.
BN1 isn't too tough since it's so simple and BN2 doesn't take too much effort if you know what you need to do. However BN3 is absurd and requires multiple grinds in specific forms to get certain chips with barely any hints at this being the case. Not to even mention the massive form grind for navicust pieces.
You'll also need to put in a code on the title screen the game doesn't tell you about to finish the postgame because why not?
If you really want to do 100% you should consider using a guide once you beat the main game. Otherwise it's basically impossible due to some things being locked behind promotional codes and other unmarked cryptic bullshit.

It's inherently fricked by being 90% fetch quest-tournament arc-fetch quest in structure, but at the very least you could try to give it a bit more variety by replacing the backtracking with new areas and cut down on the annoying minigames.
