>bought one of these mint-condition from japan for 60$ >said it would take two months to ship and arrived in a week >controller had a vague pleasant smell vaguely of blueberries >they included some cute little chopsticks in a kimino as well and a "thank you for ordering from us" note, even instructions on how to use the chopsticks (kek)
best ebay experience i've ever had
I once ordered a shitty 20 dollar watch from Russia and it came with a note from some dude named Sergei saying thanks and a cool plastic badge. The watch stopped working the next day but I figured that was gonna happen, I just liked the way it looked.
Increases the magic indeed, what does this big colorful battery like object do? i do not know!
Way better than cheap ass plastic hiding all the components inside.
This kinda thing is arguably useful because if anything's wrong with the hardware you can tell immediately at a glance before you even open it. There are certainly advantages to being able to see the inner workings of a machine at all times.
based, but at the same time, wasn't there some manufactoring issue with the translucent plastics that made them suffer wear more quickly, like the gold zelda carts did?
many of them were a lot more fragile yes, i remember dropping one out of rage as a kid and boom bye bye controller, the black one i own is still alive today and it tooked a lot lot more damage trust me
never liked them, but i know people who LOOOVE them, colors and taste meh, maybe it is easier to see any problems i guess ?
I didn't like them when I was a kid, but now I can appreciate them and wish I had collected them.
bringe
they're good if they had matte texturing
they're really bad if they were glossy
but that applies to plastics that aren't transparent too
Not my thing but literally anything is better than what we have now. Only getting one color per console outside of special editions is stupid.
Sad times for vidya collecting, now everything is homochromatic
yep, risk taking is not an option anymore despite the billions
Where's the risk in that, you fricking homosexual? Also the gamecube came out in 2001.
frick off

crinsed
Nah dude, they were basnge
Its fricking based, especially the afterglow controllers. But then again I'm a PC gay who likes seeing my computer parts with pretty lights.
SOVL
looks like shit.
They were cringe. Nobody wants to see the insides of a device, it ruins the magic.

The gaming community disagrees.
Yeah and Mac enthusiasts and PS5 owners have been taking the piss out of PC gamers for ages.

I had one but didn't like it as a kid.
But I'd love one now

They were fricking based but only if they were translucent and colored
They felt like they are about to break.
I still like opaque ones more.
this controller looks like there's mold growing inside of it
Translucent white always looked bad to me but colored translucent plastic is great.
Based, the translucent madcatz ngc controllers were the best and never broke
>bought 2 controllers with the intent to return one of them
>literally can't decide which one is better
I'm going insane
i've progressed past the point of having to look at the controller as i play so it's less important to me now as an adult
It was a different time. Circuit boards were cool back then because the matrix and hackers.
based, cringe, based, cringe, based...
