Well, garbage combat isn't what I signed up for. There are plenty of CRPGs that provide a modicum of challenge and interesting combat encounters. I guess being satisfied with mediocrity is something to be proud of these days.
The combat is great, offers a variety of builds and approaches to every encounter, has fantastic encounter design where each battle is unique and has some thought behind it and most impressively the game has good boss fights, the kryptonite for CRPGs usually.
The game folds even if I actively avoid broken shit like Haste, Tavern Brawler or Palock. Combat encounters have been designed for subhuman retards with zero time spent in the genre. Simple as.
I don't. You haven't played 5e with a competent DM if you think that piss easy encounters is an issue with the ruleset. Any DM worth their salt would laugh at you for being this much of an uninformed retard.

And you sound like a subhuman low IQ troglodyte that should get on a chair, tie a rope around his neck and then take a step forward.
Speak for yourself. My friend and I didn't do all the side content and when we got to the first fight in moonrise towers, we probably spent an hour trying to beat it. We didn't look up builds and were clearly underleveled. Eventually the only way we could do it was to misty step above, kill as many as possible, then misty step out once we were 1hp, beeline to the waypoint, cash in the exp to level up, and revive the party.
Sounds like a massive skill issue to me. I did that encounter blind on my first try with a party that was already exhausted from the Gauntlet of Shar and just did the Balthazar fight. Then I proceeded to the prison, cleared that out as well, then Kethric 1 and the entire mind-flayer colony without a single long rest. No haste potions, no bloodlust elixirs. Just a straight classed barbarian, melee sword bard, straight classed Wizard that ran out of spells and a straight classed Cleric.

sure, skill issue. But the game isn't "super" easy to laymen who never played the genre and went with bad builds. I only just discovered how OP haste is.
Nice exposing yourself as someone who doesn't actually play crpgs where in order to be challenged you almost always need to rely on either mods or self imposed challenges/limitations.
There is gradations to a lack of challenge. BG3 is on the lower end where even if you actively self-impose limitations it doesn't feel like the game can provide you with a challenge unless you actively make suboptimal tactical decisions during combat.
I intentionally avoided hyperoptimization in BG3. The game is still way too easy because enemies in the game just don't have threatening abilities. They're basically melee/ranged-attack bots for the most part, especially because Larian refused to put spellcasters into most encounters.

Not necessarily agreeing with you but I thought it was funny that the hardest part of the last boss was the entourage of arcanist squids spamming max level magic missile every turn. It makes sense with the way HP pools are broken down between players and enemies but it's still funny.

The cost of targeting casuals. But 5e is just easy in general.
Speak for yourself.
I haven't play this game.
Because everytime i asked anon here to show me about the gameplay, no one replied to my post.
It's enough for me to understand that it's a shit game.
Underrail was garbage on every level. Wow, I really like having to bait enemies into mines because I don't have the damage output to kill them because my level isn't high enough. The story was atrocious, I quit after the arena shit in fag city because I was so bored.

Man Gale really shouldn't've been a romance option.
Doesn't help that his romance triggers are laid like traps and his writing turns to shit in the scenes either.
>tfw romanced gale and told Shadowheart that I we can be a couple too but she said she didn't want to be a third wheel.
I like Gale and I like Shadowheart!
I constantly see people on this board who play single player RPGs for the supposed difficulty, even going so far as to enjoy games with terrible fucking stories and artwork like Underrail
Single player RPGs are fundamentally not difficult, they are based around you knowing the right builds, the right paths, the strong items, etc
You will never be good at video games for playing RPGs, and they will never pose a real challenge unless they're randomized like a roguelike
>me waiting for the bg3se update.
It's a party based RPG based on DnD.
What the FUCK where you expecting?
Well, garbage combat isn't what I signed up for. There are plenty of CRPGs that provide a modicum of challenge and interesting combat encounters. I guess being satisfied with mediocrity is something to be proud of these days.
Name three, please.
>There are plenty of CRPGs that provide a modicum of challenge and interesting combat encounters.
>DnD
Yes you did.
>There are plenty of CRPGs that provide a modicum of challenge and interesting combat encounters
no there aren't
There are many, many. I can't think of any off the top of my head, but there are hundreds
>There are hundreds
>Can't think of one
Friendly reminder that Ganker is filled with the biggest mongoloids
There may even be thousands. You just haven't played them yet, so you wouldn't know.
Deadfire, Solasta, Wasteland 3 and the Pathfinder games are all significantly more challenging games on their highest difficulty than BG3.
who's we?

The game is piss easy and is absolutely broken in the balance department. What an embarrassment.
Probably one of the least broken CRPGs.
>hurr if you use super optimal builds the game folds
No shit, it's still an RPG
The game folds even if I actively avoid broken shit like Haste, Tavern Brawler or Palock. Combat encounters have been designed for subhuman retards with zero time spent in the genre. Simple as.
lol dude you're just talking about 5e dungeons and dragons in general.
I don't. You haven't played 5e with a competent DM if you think that piss easy encounters is an issue with the ruleset. Any DM worth their salt would laugh at you for being this much of an uninformed retard.

I can tell how fat your fingers are
Type that again but without sounding mad.

>you're playing the game wrong
Nice for you to expose yourself like that.
Nice exposing yourself as someone who doesn't actually play crpgs where in order to be challenged you almost always need to rely on either mods or self imposed challenges/limitations.
No, you don't. You're the biggest newfag I've ever seen on this board and not genre savvy at all.
>genre savvy
you're a homosexual
There is gradations to a lack of challenge. BG3 is on the lower end where even if you actively self-impose limitations it doesn't feel like the game can provide you with a challenge unless you actively make suboptimal tactical decisions during combat.
I didn't call it playing the game wrong, but an understanding of the best mechanics will always trump any RPG.

This. All they talk about is gay bear sex, the red demon lady or the shadow-something elf. It's clearly just a convoluted dating sim
That's most games on Ganker though after a certain period of time. Literally a website of nothing but worthless coomers.
Friend and I can play coop and that's fun to me :^)
That sounds pretty gay.
Goddess pussy
No shit. MAde by fags and w*men for fags and w*men. What could go wrong?
You can mention all the bugs/exploits instead
fun combat 🙂
Name one good CRPG. Just one.
underrail. homosexual.
pixel art fallout wannabe slop
better than fallout
bad at games
nothing your mom ever said about you
Underrail was garbage on every level. Wow, I really like having to bait enemies into mines because I don't have the damage output to kill them because my level isn't high enough. The story was atrocious, I quit after the arena shit in fag city because I was so bored.

I like Gale and I like Shadowheart!
Exceptional build variety. Combat isn't hard no but it is varied.

>anon longrests after every encounter
>WhY iS it So EaSY?!
Can you play solo without companions?
Yes, even the highest difficulty level can be completed solo. imo its fun to play that way the companions can be left at camp or not recruited at all.
I can play a brown elf twink and explode enemies with spells. I can even kill a tranny and throw his body into lava.
>kill a tranny
which tranny?
After raiding the Grove and genociding the Tiefs, I'm tempted to respec all my party members to clerics to fit in better with my high fantasy jihad
