The whole idea of Ganondorf existing during the founding of Hyrule in Tears of the Kingdom does not make sense to me. The first Ganondorf is supposed to have been born a bit before the Hyrulian civil war before Ocarina of Time. The second Ganondorf was born before Four Swords Adventures. So Tears of the Kingdom basically retcons Oot Ganondorf being the first. Also, does this mean there were multiple Ganondorfs existing at the same time? We had Oot Ganondorf and the corpse Ganondorf both existing at the same time?

Anon the whole basis of BOTW and TOTK's hyrule is that it's so far removed from the previous games nothing from the previous games is relevant

Meaning that the Hyrule founded in TOTK doesn't have to be the first hyrule. It can be the second one created after the first has already vanished to time.

that's because the whole timeline was made up by some interns while the professionals were just creating fun games the way they wanted to.
it's called the "legend" of zelda for a reason. you were never supposed to piece it all together because of your autistic obsession to have everything in it's proper place. sometimes you don't have all the information and things just... are. that is what it means to retell a legend, to fill in the gaps with your own culture and time's understanding of things.

Says who, idiot? The first Ganon was born with Demise, not your fan conjecture from loose, poorly written 3rd party sources. Most the games are not connected and Ganondorf can and could have showed up ant various times. Frick off with the timeline shit.

REMINDER we haven't found the Triforce in Ocarina of Time, the game is still unsolved to this day...

Frick you. Even though i'm also guilty of fabrications.

What isn't a fabrication is : There is "another world" inside Ocarina of Time. That's a fact.

But...how do you actually go there? Contacting parallel worlds is tough stuff. I think of it in terms of the Ganon boss battle where you're tossing the Light inbetween darkness back and forth...something like that..

OOT was a lot of different things before it released.
It was the Imprisoning War, it was first person, it took place entirely inside Ganon's Castle, it didn't have Ganondorf at all, etc.
I wish the development process was better documented. It and MM's sound like they were fascinating.

I really want to know how the Ganon’s Castle one turned out during development. Having the entire game be like Super Mario 64 sounds like garbage tbh, but maybe there’s a universe out there where Super Link 64 was just as acclaimed, if not more than OoT was
Ocarina of Time’s beta and development history is one of the most fascinating things in vidya development imo

All of that Timeline bullshit is literally because of Aonuma and MM. Nobody cared and it was never official until Nintendo decided to roll with the best one their own fans came up with.

      https://www.shacknews.com/article/68950/zelda-ocarina-time-was-once

There's a hint the "another world" is a FPS.

see pic related from ff7. every japanese videogame has a parallel world because it's something modern japanese hold closely to themselves. but how to do it...what's the password?

if only hackers knew how to find the hidden memory addresses where this data is stored.

That’s just an early version of the game that was scrapped anon, there’s no triforce or fps world or anything in there….

        >While the concept was thrown around, Koizumi, who was working on making the Link character model at the time, said that he "couldn't stand to see my Link not appear."
I’m cracking up at the idea of Miyamoto announcing that the game would be FPS and Koizumi just silently seething to himself

          >That’s just an early version of the game that was scrapped

It wasn't scrapped. Japanese game development works in 2 phases. One: you make the "earlier" version of the game. This is the version of the game that is considered "cut content", Two: Shuffle the entire development team and make the "Released" version of the game. This is the game you remember playing.

Basically, it means there's hidden campaigns inside Ocarina of Time. the commercials for the game even tease it, see below:

a "Zelda" campaign is teased where you play as Princess Zelda.

Let me be your guiding light on this matter.

I've been obsessed with japanese parallel worlds since at least 2015 with Bloodborne. I've been analyzing the japanese development philosophy and practice for almost 10 years now.

Developers really make alternative versions of a game, and one gets chosen to be the release version of the game, but they don't throw away those earlier visions, they're hidden in the code.

If the game is teasing something (playing as Zelda), that means it just might be possible.

By using the flags in the code, we restored this encounter in the released version of Bloodborne to get a peek at the other side.
