Japanese people support same sex marriage at higher rates than the US, they just have a one-party state run by boomers so their opinion doesn't matter (but as the boomers finally die out you'll see rapid changes).

During the Occupy Wall Street movement, certain people decided that they needed to divide the common man, lest they topple the tower. They enacted two cooperative efforts: a political one and a cultural one.
The political cooperation ensured the widening of the gap between the two largest groups of people in America. The result of this was the classification of the "left" and "right".
The cultural cooperation ensured the funding and showcasing of equality movements. The result of this was a massive shift of the overton window.

Not because it's good (it's fricking garbage), but how well it builds up an entire mystery just to explain it by telling the player that even the author has no idea how to tie it all up.

Left / liberal people do tend to be mroe sensitive and creative focused, but also suck at actual cooperation and working within a group. They often devalue or overvalue their work withing a community and can't find proper footing even when they got skills peopel desires and would support.
Right / Conservative people are more driven by values and prupose, they udnerstand how "society works" but struggle for actual relationships for anything that isn't the same as them as different mentalities are seen as a threat to the status quo first and valuevable thinking alternatives later.
That's why the "ultimate winning move" in the capitalistic world is having a good balance of both, like Nitnendo does: A bunch of senior producers with experience with games that oversee projects to find those creativer minds that can be put in charge of projects.
One has the ideas, the other helps them put into a feasible package. Things will break if they don't respect each other.

But it's a really hard balance to attain because most creative people tends to be too individualistic for such big team projects and conservative ones are "bussiness autistic" where any move that hasn't been done and repeated a 100 times is too risky, even though they'd all agree you won't raise above the standard by following it.

It's just a pat on the shoulder for the weirdoes OP. That statement is true for pretty much any group of people

  20. 1 week ago
    Anonymous

I don't mind or care about LGBTQ stuff in games.
What I can't stand is how patronizing and tone deaf these statements are always made.

If you tell people, specially kids and teenagers, that the LGBTQ or liberals are creative driven, then they'll all want to be LGBTQ because who the frick would want to not be valued as someone creative with original ideas? That's the actual reason these feels as "politics", not becuse convincing them LGBTQ is good is wrong, but because you're telling them that these group is somewhat avobe "the norm", rather than part of it. So people will try to swoosh righ into the group to not be left out.

If you keep talking that "the good guys" are the LGBTQ, then every other option feels wrong.
This is why Morgan freeman and many other blakcs insist the solution to racism is to stop talking about it. Not to pretend people aren't racist, but to act in your everyday without it. Just threat people as people and stop engaging when they do something wrong. Every time you bring up gender or race you're building a barrier that we cannot take down with actual discussion.

This is just making kids mock homosexuals even more. They keep pedestalizing this dumb snowflake race like they did with going to church on sundays and being a normal person, yet kids are naturally drawn to rebellion.

        Anonymous

        Yeah, I'm noticing this too.
The thing about kids and teens is that they hate to be told what to do, but they love to do the same their heroes do without questioning it.
But your message will backfire if it stays unchanged from kids to adult media. If teen shows also insist on talking about LGBTQ stuff in the same patronizing way (that it's the best thing ever, never question it, any doubts regarding it make you an evil person, etc), then what teens will think is that the point was to brainwash kids, and the "mature" reaction now is to distance myself from it, since media (and parents) bad.

If you don't offer kids a way to think for themselves, then the only conclusion to be drawn when doing is is against the ideas you presented.
