>Don’t know much else you could ask from a mad max game
Driving an actual tanker in a recreation of the kickass chase sequence from Mad Max 2 for one, there's big trucks stationary in many parts of the map but you never drive one, there's a fuel tanker mission was just some shitty cucktruck with a few barrels in the back tray, NO FRICKING BIG RIG TANKER MISSION
Not having to fricking HOLD every button to do shit HOLD to get in car HOLD to pick up your ten zillionth piece of scrap
Hand to hand fighting with some actual depth, I sincerely wonder if the people who compare the fighting to Batman actually played more than 15 minutes of it. It doesn't have the depth and finesse of the batman games AT ALL
A bit of variety? There's so much cut n paste shit, every stronghold the same, every boss fight the same
A story that isn't so full of half assed clichés
Compared to the hand to hand combat in Mad Max, yes. Different attacks, different counters; Mad Max lacks that.
It's the same combat. I love the combat but it's the same combat as the Batman Arkham games. Don't bullshit and overrate it.
It's not the fricking same, Batman has multiple attacks and manoeuvres and a time based combo system that feels rewarding when you get it flowing, Mad Max is button mashing brainless shite. The thunderdome segment was a perfect example of this, standing around waiting for the one counter button to flash to counter the one attack that was the only key to winning.
>Compared to the hand to hand combat in Mad Max, yes. Different attacks, different counters; Mad Max lacks that. >X to attack >Y to counter
It's the exact same combat system you mongoloid. Or are you talking about the animations? Max isn't some lean mean fightan machine with the ability to fly across the screen. If anything Mad Max' combat animations felt a lot more grounded and real than Bamham's ballerina dance.
It had the same combat style but don't sit there and try to say it was the same combat. Batman didn't have gory executions and bashing peoples faces open with a wrench or curb stomping a guys jaw on a bumper. Batman didn't kill anyone meanwhile in mad max you go out of your way with flashy kills.
It actually has more in common with the nu-Spider-Man games in terms of combat, except in Mad Max your attacks actually have impact to them, while with Spider-Man there's zero sense of impact to anything. I hope they fix it in the second one along the shit-ass web swinging because there's potential there but it's nowhere near as good as the dipsticks ballwashing it claim.
I think that is what a lot of people overlook with the combat in Mad Max; the impact. Shit felt like it had weight to it. It felt good to snap an arm of an enemy. In batman it just felt like another fluid motion in a chain of motions.
>I hope they fix it in the second one along the shit-ass web swinging
lmao
The game will never have proper web swinging physics and inertia because that would put normies off.
Yeah but it had that Bamham combat that I was a sucker for because it just looked so cool haymakering some stupid scav frick out in a wasteland. I'd rate it seven out of "too boring to finish but I did get a solid 15-20 hours of finishing melee fights with a double barreled shotgun blast to the last enemy standing" ten. I actually didn't think much of the car stuff despite that being a much talked about part of the game. It was fine. Didn't love it or hate it.
It was a fun game
Ikr? Good game. Shame it's all we'll get.
Underrated gem tbh
Don’t know much else you could ask from a mad max game
>much else you could ask
a post apocalypse frick em up to rival modded Fallout

fun and beautiful game
v8 should have been the halfway point instead of the end.
I thought it was pretty fun, especially for a licensed game.
Solid 7.5/10.

It was a good game. The main story was a bit barebones though. I remember buying it off a keysite for like $10 just a month or so after release.
Better than any of the batman games.
i liked the game.
everything in the car was fun.
on foot combat was kinda boring though.
