A framework of a good game that gets way too repetitive. I love Daggerfall but it's flawed in many areas such as every single dungeon looking the same, and combat being incredibly boring (move forward, swing, move backwards before the enemy can hit you, this works against all enemies)
it's worth playing to see that chapter of the history of the elder scrolls, but the shift to hand-designed content in Morrowind instead of daggerfall's enormous randomly generated world of absolutely fricking nothing is what made Morrowind the best TES game. Daggerfall is really just an expansion pack for Arena.
tes 3 is good for a single playthrough but the world is so small and the quests are so static that it's not replayable like daggerfall is. oblivion is also worse than tes 3 is. and morrowinds combat is njot enjoyable. the best part about tes 3 is just wandering around aimlessly and reading books or just screwing around in general

It is a really good game if you are willing to put up with the dated mechanics and visuals. It's a lot easier if you're a boomer because you more than likely do remember games looking and playing like that, if you're younger though you may have some issues. If you complete the first dungeon and you don't like it, stop immediately and never touch it again. No one will judge you, you don't have to force yourself to like it, but if you give it a chance the game will suck you right in.
