The only reason the SF2 series is regarded so highly is because it was the first and it created its own "mania". There was nothing to compare it to. It's the same with Pokemania or Yugiboomer retards; they like the first entry, and to them it's the best by definition because there was no previous entry to compare it to, and then with later iterations they criticize them and compare them to the first.
Gen 3 to 5 were absolutely superior to gens 1 and 2, the synchro era was superior to the DM era, and 3rd Strike is superior to ST. These are facts.
Yet the mania hype retards want to convince everyone that literally no other fighting game in the last 30 years surpassed SF2, even though nearly every fighter is based on it.
