Anon, they killed the entire fucking cast in Will of the Wisps. Literally no chance unless they do a hard reset.
This.
the idea would be something set in the same overall setting, as in universe, but with a different spirit and place.
Which would be good either way, a third Ori game would suck no matter what.
Do remember theres a continuation from the ending of Will of the Wisps though, as it ends with the tree letting out a spirit in the same was as it did at the beginning of Blind Forest. You could genuinely tie-in a separate setting into that
Is there even a videogame series that uses the name of the protagonist but continues with a different one?
anon please
youve been going at this for so long
You're so stupid, everyone who say Ori is indie is so ficking stupid. A fucking videogame IP which is owned by a big corporation and doesn't even belong to the studios that developed it. A fucking indie. What indie even mean everyone if Ori is an indie game? Just have a nice day retard.
I was not the one that called Ori an indie, im just calling you out for the fact that you have been sperging out over muh not-indie for over a fucking year straight >Is there even a videogame series that uses the name of the protagonist but continues with a different one?
not really, but a third game officially within the ori universe would most certainly still have to be within the same IP. They could coin it like " Ori : (title) "
It's so cringe seeing this fucking game being associated with fucking cheap arcade pixel shit, and the worse part is that some unironically think a videogame like Ori and pixel shit are on the same level of production and quality. A videogame that should be praised for being AAA quality. It's just pathetic.
its so cringe seeing you so eternally assblasted over other games. nobody is to blame other than the fact youre utterly mindbroken by the fact there are comparable games in terms of sheer gameplay quality and artistic value within a smaller budget >praised for being AAA quality
"AAA quality" lost all its meaning a decade ago.

No it didn't it's just you and all the pathetic audience about fucking indie shit that unironically think this. It's not even about gameplay or enjoyment. It's just about the behind production of it. The ignorance surrounding this game is unbelievable and the fact that many see Ori as a simple indie says a lot. Imagine seeing the Mona Lisa associated with kindergarten drawings. This is what i see when Ori is associated with indies.

Elden Ring
Armored core
Diablo IV
Doom eternal
Zelda breath of the wild
Zelda tears of kingdom
Pikmin 4
Ratchet and clank ra
Cyberpunk 2077
Baldur's gate 3
I could go on. I don't even like half of these but they are good to decent and it's far better than any cheap arcade indie shit.

Jesus fucking christ you're a moron, do you even know what AAA means?
>It's so cringe seeing this fucking game being associated with fucking cheap arcade pixel shit
First of all, the developers chose their main cross-promotion to be with """cheap arcade pixel shit""", by your standards. Unless you're going to claim Rivals of Aether was somehow a completely cynical, goal-oriented choice to get Ori out there as hard as possible, and not something done because the developers liked each other.
Secondly, in what fucking universe is the quality of a game decided by the amount of fucking pixels it has?

The developer of rivals of aether was one of the developers that worked on blind forest. And they allowed Ori in it simply because they where friends with the game director and Microsoft allowed it.
They probably where so sure and trusting the audience of Ori being already taken as an high quality game that didn't think about this.
But they they where wrong and everyone demonstrate to be retarded and made Ori games look like shit and devaluing it's reputation.
The community should have come together to make Ori games stand out as beautiful and technically impressive 2D game but everyone instead made the exact opposite. They turned and ridiculed the IP and the game beyond belief.
The game director just made a lot of wrong choices plus Microsoft is just being shit and mismanaged the IP plus the community being garbage and not collaborative in making Ori stand out for the uniqueness and expensiveness but doing the exact opposite resulted in the game having a bad reputation.
Ori just demonstrate that making extremely high quality 2D games just isn't worth the money time and effort and at this point probably even at Xbox understand it.
The name of Ori gets passed on to the spirit you see being born at the end of the last game and from there you have a complete blank slate to work with, it's not that hard. Just contrive a new adventure with new characters but the same themes and some of the same beats (cuz it's like pottery, it rhymes).
It's cringe and forced. Might as well make a completely new spiritual successor with completely new character. Maybe one that doesn't look like a white blob.
I don't know why people keep calling indie videogames that are literally owned by Microsoft. Even the DLC promo for rivals it's still allowed and branded by Microsoft.

>ori 1 >can dash -> charge dash for a double dash >moving off a ledge with a dash lets you triple dash with the same method >ori 2 >dash is now fluid and less zoomy, but theres no more charged dash and momentum preservation
pain
Its really awful how the second game kills momentum. Almost everything in the first game kept you going if you released your movement keys. Now you can grapple a huge horizontal distance and release movement keys, and your horizontal movement will completely stop once the animation is done. Only the Bash kept it, given it comes from the first game
I didn't play much of Ori 2 so don't take my words to heart but I feel like they betrayed their vision. Turning a very simple yet consistently thrilling platformer into an action RPG metroidvania with fucking NPCs and shit. It's probably better than Ori 1 but now it's also part of the most oversaturated indie genre ever.
Sex with Ori
Yeah
How would you even make a continuation? They literally obliterated everyone.
Anon, they killed the entire fucking cast in Will of the Wisps. Literally no chance unless they do a hard reset.

Megaman, jojo (kinda)
X and Rock are completely different people

Not sure if they'll fund another indie title that made less sales the second time.

don't get why they did that since they even hired speedrunners to playtest the game
Ori sucks
sex
How would they even continue the story in an Ori 3?
SAUCE

>Source, some fucking Hispanic's arse
Delusional, they already said the IP was put to rest.
>moon studios will never revisit it
Then there's no point making it. Will o wisps was fantastic and i have no qualms letting it rest there.
sex
Would.
For some reason every time I tried to watch a let’s play of this game or play it myself I could never finish it for some reason, I just lost interest.
She deserved better
Yes
She could have had better, but turned away
She didn’t know any better
Better show her better
Look at how they looked at her since it was born. Everyone hate her for no reason. I would be mad for life too.
I think owls just look angry by default.
>villain is evil because…she’s ugly and unloved…
What if she's actually not the villain?
They would infuse it with woke propaganda
Let ori rest in peace
Yeah, it was too much for it's own good and it just doesn't belong to this time and era.
Every single one really.
What’s the best OST and why is it Mora the Spider?
Fuck, I shouldn't have entered this thread without finishing the second game.
It's actually better like this. You still don't know what happened but at least you're aware now.
Damn it, Anon, go play it
I didn't play much of Ori 2 so don't take my words to heart but I feel like they betrayed their vision. I like that they did, that makes it two games in two different genres and they both feel great to play for their respective genre while looking great.
Guacamelee is a better metroidvania anyways. Ori is painfully overrated furbait
