That gibberish language is lowkey one of the most revolting aspects of modern Pokemon games.

Whoever made that thread is half-right. The language they use in Pokemon games is weird because half of the time it can ciphered, but the other half it's just gibberish. But even when it can be translated, the cipher changes with every instance.

        Recency bias and poketuber brainrot.
It's the same reason people insisted Sinnoh would have Z-Moves, no-- Dynamax. Then Unova must have Tera even though they've never done such a thing with any of the gimmicks and mega evolution is supposedly the first one.

It's to explain the Lumiose city of L: Z-A looks nothing like the Lumiose city of the plans, which will be built per how they appeared in XY. FRICK, were all you stupid c**ts dropped on your heads or drop-kicked in them?

      >which will be built per how they appeared in XY. FRICK, were all you stupid c**ts dropped on your heads or drop-kicked in them?
God your post-structure screams that dude that was so insistent BDSP would have Dynamax because it was "Gen 8's gimmick" ad infinitum calling everyone you disagree with manchildren who don't understand how TPCI works.
PLZ-A is obviously present-future centric. The trailer's mission statement kicks right off where the postgame of XY left it, not the other way around. Kalos was one of the only games in the series to show off just how much of a dystopian shithole the pokeworld could be, the premise of the new game is to remedy that.

        >Kalos was one of the only games in the series to show off just how much of a dystopian shithole the pokeworld could be
Elaborate? Outside of Lysandre's whole thing about overpopulation at the climax of the game, there's very little social commentary. I guess the post game looker/Emma/lumiose story? I can't think of anything else in there.

          >First major roadblock in the game involves a rich butthole that charges people to look at his house and is basically holding the Poke Flute hostage out of spite
          >Shauna points out how his Furfrou was probably trying to escape for a reason
          >You're forced to fight your rival over a single mega ring to decide which one of you gets it, something that Lysandre points out later
          >Pokemon Village's entire existence is predicated on people treating their pokes like shit or just being incapable of taking care of them in general
          >Even after the climax, the overpopulation issue doesn't magically go away because the Looker episode is completely centered around Emma and other homeless kids/stray Pokemon in Lumiose alone
Just off the top of my head. The entire game shoves it in your face, the pacing is just too shit for any of it to really stick. Lysandre was 100% right but pokefans like to pretend he's somehow anywhere near as dumb as Rose.

XY was EXTREMELY cynical for a Pokemon game. The Battle Maison is full of rich old people who are depressed because they wasted their life earning money and young people throwing away their dignity for money. The one I remember most is the maid who openly admits she's waiting for her employer to die so he'll leave her his fortune, then after you beat her she starts yelling about how she grew up poor and will do ANYTHING to escape that life.

I really don't know what was going on with those games.

And the rival slowly getting more and more depressed as you kick their ass throughout the game.

Wasn't new mauille in the gen 3 remakes kinda depressing too? I think that gen in general might have been targeting older players to come back to the franchise

This explanation sounds fricking moronic. Why would they advertise a Lumiose City that looks fleshed out only to revert it to the plain and barren one we get in XY?

        Anonymous

The fleshed out Luminose was developed by Volo and if built would create a portal that'd summon super Mega-Zord Zygarde.

Did you watch the trailer or just pay attention to when the blueprints showed up (because the 3D wireframe bit was to reference blueprint papers becoming a visualisation for the city to come).
Frick me, glad I grew up in the 80's. Meant when old WB cartoons weren't cancelled because parents couldn't be arsed teaching kids of the differences between cartoons and real life, as Tom and Jerry taught me this shit 33 years ago.

Explain the people wearing modern clothes and using phones at the beginning then.
Also explain why the Lumiose City in the trailer looks radically different than the one in XY.

The point of the game is expanding Lumiose City until it overtakes the whole of Kalos.
It's a stealth Pokemon Conquest sequel.

I've said since day one that it will be a futuristic game.
If patterngays like patterns so much, then here's an easy one:
SV had past and future pokemon.
PLA was the past, so the next game will be the future.

Arceus was in the past, SV had past and future mons, so Z-A will be in the future

ZA= Z is the last letter in the alphabet = Future

Z-A So it's a Samurai Jack story line then.
