Far lesser than Ninja Gaiden, let's not bother comparing.
Liked it a bit more than Nioh 1, but it isn't as good as Nioh 2.

Combat is a bit basic but it's fun enough, setting works really well and pull off the "Equal to 1000 men" shit you see in the novel without resorting to the usual DW fodder.
    Top-notch animations.
    Coolest depicition of Zhang Liao

I feel like this is a really fair assessment. I personally didn't care for how difficult the tutorial boss was, being forced to learn the mechanics of the game at that point, everything after felt real easy in comparison.

I liked it. Probably on par with Nioh, but not Nioh 2.

I didn't play the full game, I only remember trying the second Beta on PC and saying specifically that the weapon classes were trash and just a pale shitty imitation of Souls weapons because there wasn't a proper hierarchy of hyperarmor values supporting the various choices. TN gays were screeching calling me Soulsgays, only to layer boast about the DLCs adding hyperarmor to weapons to actually make them useful

It's in my top three for souls clones, it's behind nioh 2 and lies of p but hey

It's okay. I'm hoping they'll use funds from this and rise of ronin to develop nioh 3

Thy took the worst aspects of Nioh 2 (your moveset barely matters to the flow of battle, your yokai form/skills do, burst countering is an easy way to turn the fight in player's favour, etc..) and made a whole game about it. Completely lost focus on localized damage zones that gave Nioh bosses at least some identity. Even part destruction wasn't just using the correct moveset and hitting it but a critical deflect
I't basically witnessing the real-time degrading of TN game design from a decent title with high potential that gets squandered with idiotic sequels

The very first boss in wo long is better than any boss in nioh

It's ok, decent game to buy on a sale. They obviously tried to improve the combat after nioh 2 but ended with a very restrictive parryslop gameplay. Somehow even less experinced devs made better games with the Sekiro deflects (Lies of P, Lords of the Fallen).

This, I finished LoP AND AC6 before I got halfway through Wo Long, it just wasn't that engaging. At this point I'm just gonna wait for Wukong if I want a wuxia Chinaman action game.

Liked it a lot more than Nioh 1, but it has some issues.
Level design is better than Nioh, but it's still not that great and the art direction really doesn't help seeing where you need to go. Bosses are fun to fight on the instant, but completely forgettable. And that's very personal, but the 3K setting is just boring, I can't find a single armor I want to wear or character to give a shit about.

I don't know what experience is like now after the DLCs added so much stuff and the patches improved the UI and QoL a lot, but it must be much better than when it came out. I still enjoyed it a lot though

Glad to hear. I thought it was fine, never did the DLC but the base game was enjoyable enough. I would consider it weaker than it’s predecessors but it’s not outright terrible

Team ninja has no clue how to design fun levels. Despite liking the combat and bosses quite a lot I just couldn't finish it just like nioh 1 and 2 and the chink warrior story didn't help either. They just design their games entirely around bosses like monhun

it's pretty fun but obviously a step down.
i don't get why the frick they would give you 1 (uno) normal combo per weapon and make every other move cost meter. that's obviously going to feel shittier than nioh or even stranger of paradise.
by itself it's a good game though. best implementation of parry slop i think, if a little too easy. the spells are pretty cool and you eventually get fun martial arts like 15 hours in
