breeding competitive Pokemon is a lengthy process, so he had his discord hack them and then trade them to him. this cannot be detected but he also injected a Pokemon that is event only, with some impossible stats, that's how he got found out.

        >hack them and then trade them to him.
....doesn't everyone in competitive do this though? I thought this was a tacit agreement.

how else would they get shiny legendaries
I don't believe everyone resets the game 100 thousand times to find a legendary that's shiny AND with good IVs AND with the nature they want

              >how else would they get shiny legendaries
If it's just for battling, why would you want shiny? They offer no actual advantage. There's no real reason to use a shiny for competitive.
Also, even if you're dead set on getting one, IV training can be done with bottle-caps after you've obtained the pokemon, and natures can be changed with a mint. So really, all you have to 'grind for' is just the shiny state, but even then that's kind of worthless if it's just for battling.

so he didnt waste 80000 hours of his life breeding pokemon? ok fricking good? He has a life and he won a world championship, pokemon trannies are so pathetic

Wait people have to actually breed and grind for competitions, why not generate the tournament legal team you want on the spot, the end result is exactly the same without the wasting your time part.
Imagine if in Street Fighter you had to raise Baby Ryu and train him until he had the standard stats and moves, makes no sense.

Sounds like something that could've been cool in the PS2/Gamecube era. But yea, not for competitive tournaments though

Yeah, imagine MTG but you had access to all the cards in a tournament, all legal and shit, just make your deck and play.

No different than normal, just that you got lucky drafting cards or pulling from packs or getting a good deal online to put the SAME DECK TOGETHER.

If it's a Pokemon tournament why the frick wouldn't you just generate whatever roster you want to compete with? Imagine if Blizzard made their Blizzcon participants level new characters to max level and then queue up for arenas, what the frick
