Lay down and die.... no seriously
What other shit they made that was successful? A Yoshi game in the GB back in the 90s and that was literally it

They'd be dead. Pokemon Red and Green was their literal last ditch effort to avoid bankruptcy.

      Languishing in obscurity.

Actually, Red and Green were the CAUSE of their bankruptcy. They kept running out of money during it's development and developed other, smaller games during this time to continue funding it.
Before it they weren't even a developer, GF were just a small dojinshi company that made a vidaya fan magazine.

        >Before it they weren't even a developer, GF were just a small dojinshi company that made a vidaya fan magazine.
It was a stepping-stone to development for all them however. Tajiri and Sugi were big into their games, I'd say even without Game Freak magazine, they'd eventually have founded a studio to start making games, as it was far easier back then compared to today (Masuda's said "you can make a game with three people", it was the genesis of Game Freak's "Gear Project" imprint), while Masuda may eventually have started looking top get into making video game music. As it was him being friends with Tajiri and Sugi was enough for him to get his in, as they all decided "Frick it, we'll go for it".

Picrel would've been made a reality rather than a strange hypothetical without Ishihara's immediate spearheading of Pokemon expanding into an impossible-to-Americanize multimedia franchise, and it absolutely would not have ever taken off.

        White people are filth.

Notice how almost all non-Nintendo videogames sold to the american vomit. Crash Bandicoot was made down syndrome and crazy-chaotic screaming random noises to appeal to americans (it even spins like dat looney toons character)

Sonic was made "le coooool shooooooes:D" to appeal to the american Black personitic energy and look at it now. Lol. Cant even dream to be at the level of mario.

The only good mario-derived american character was ratchet from ratchet and clank, and even then their constant LGBT AIDS jokes in a game that targets children is very questionable.

Mario is american. Yes, hes american. Italian americans arent a thing and almost always theyre mexicans with 0.1% italian blood or none claiming to be italian. But Nintendo still never intended for Mario to actually BE american. Hes just this short gnome guy that lives in a fantasyland.

But the last mario movie is american and like all the other mario american animations it was: garbagio supremo

        >even back in the very beginning, the suits on the Japanese side were unimpressed by the opinions and efforts of NoA, while having the utmost respect for the vision of Tajiri and Sugimori
        >Sugimori has still supposedly suffered from imposter syndrome and unrealised dreams for decades just because he didn't make it as a mangaka
It would be tragic if it didn't all seem so stupid.

Imagine white males and americans in the hands of a giant human-eating diarrhea monster. We all have our dreams...

Yours comes from hating all things and all things that are good, you must infect everything with american AIDS asnyou were programmed to.

Mine is to allow good stuff to live without having to deal with talking diarrhea like americans and fbi

People love to misinterpret this as "a tiger with fat breasts" but it's more than likely NoA meant a radical 80s-90s mascot character ala Ninja Turtles. Still would've been shit, but it's nowhere near the level of baffling doomsday the translation makes it out to be.

          Proof of this claim?

It's still absolutely absurd to transform pikachu into a furry yiff tiger. I dont see how its unimaginable americans actually made it into a troony with breasts

Apocryphal, but some anon claimed it was a mistranslation of "pec s" and while it's funny to meme about pikachu with breasts, it's far more likely they meant re-designing Pika into an Incineroar-type creature - a muscly bipedal thing, like street sharks were big muscly bipedal things (and not too far removed from the time of Pokémon's western localisation).

Probably making shitty RPGs and puzzle games until they go bankrupt in the mid-to-late 2000s.

Hard to say, they might have been absorbed or gutted by Nintendo, just as likely they ended up like the rest the who devs who worked in 2D until mobileshit came up and the serious devs moved to 3D.
But we'll never know, because Tajiri got inspiration from Nintendo's shit and Pokémon took over the world as a result.

    >Has the backing of their supposed A-team
    >Is visually nicer to look at than most of the 3ds titles and even some parts of SV
    >Enough corners to be clear that this game got more work and care than their strongest IP
    >Player peak is only eleven after four years
I think if they didn't had Pokemon to work on, some of their staff members honestly would have killed themselves. This shit is just downright depressing regardless of the gamestate. They're trapped to Pokemon forever.

They developed for PlayStation and PC-Engine and they got on by being a contractor during the 16-bit era. I don't think they would've died out as quickly as people think since game development was so common in the 80s and 90s. They might not have survived the bust period of the 2000s but they could've also transitioned to just developing business software or merging with another bottom rung developer.

They'd be dead, pure and simple.

They were a game magazine company who got into game development for funsies and Pokemon was the only game they made that actually kept them relevant or alive. And I honestly think, looking back on it, that it was so fricking lucky that the game even worked out the way it did. Pokemon's popularity was very very luck dependent. The only other games they made that were worth looking at back in the day were Pulseman and Mendel Palace. Neither of those would've ever gotten to the level Pokemon is today, the company would've 100% gone belly up.

There MIGHT be a universe where they became a far more well liked dev on Sega systems where they produced Pulseman games exclusively until Sega died and they tried to transition to Nintendo. But I doubt that universe would even exist.
