They used real names though. Reversing all the models seems like more effort than just making up a wink-wink name.

The mosin continued on into RS2 as hella fun too, the AK and SKS outclass it in almost every way but hitting people almost anywhere and getting a kill is nice and suited to the classes you get it

Hunt Showdown has the best bolt action action. The game arguably has some of the most satisfying guns you can find in gayman overall.

Verdun and its successors are majority bolt action. They use the left click fire/right click work the bolt mechanic, which I actually really like as it puts you into a rhythm when you're shooting it. There are also minor but noticeable differences in handling, accuracy, and stopping power so you really feel it when you're using some shitty late 19th century reserve rifle as a Senegalese conscript vs some super fancy marksman's rifle. It also makes melee more viable, given the low rate of fire most weapons have.

Not an FPS in the sense you're thinking of, but nailing wolves or putting down a charging bear with the .308 in The Long Dark is sure satisfying

Real answer, the bolt doesn’t go into battery (as in locked in place) so the gun won’t fire, because the firing pin won’t be triggered by the trigger. Pretty boring. If this was not the case and the gun could fire, the bolt would fly backwards and hit the user very hard, or just break the gun.

i was wondering if it could be an quick reload cheat where the shooter could gain a second or two on reloading by not levering the bolt down
          thanks for the explanation

I shot a quick vid with one of my rifles to demonstrate, there are many rifle types but basically every bolt action works as demonstrated here:
