Star Ocean has multiple planets being blown up (Earth got it twice, once in 3, and again with a "alternate earth" in 4), including the entire universe being "turned off" in 3.
    It's definitely up there.

Probably some space ship sci-fi shit in which whole planets blow up. Pretty sure the mass effect trilogy has a pretty high death count

your shitty games with little polygon planets don't count. 1 unit = 1 life. a truck with 6 people in it only counts as only 1 unit unless you can see all 6 die

ENDLESS Space is basically Civilization/Risk only with entire solar systems as territory. Going full on planet buster to make your foes bend the knee is not just a victory condition, it's heavily encouraged if you want to be a violent conquerer. This includes being able to make a craft that is just the Death Star only it can go invisible and get as close to another planet as it likes so if you're sneaky enough, your opponent will be going from perfectly fine to being told that their most important and populated planet is going to be space dust next turn, in a game where getting people and resources off planet takes several turns.
