Yep, Fallout 1 was true garbage, completly unballanced game (not to mention 6 difficulty levels) so not even ballanced for 1 character let alone 6. The dialgoue doesn't even match the what happened in the previous scene.

In fact if you want to go down that route, Dark Souls 2 has arguably the worst fricking areas in the entire franchise. Shrine of Amana being one of if not the most frustrating fricking zones to go through because it's full of shin deep water your character treats like a god damn tar pit and enemies that fire magic homing missiles around every fricking corner. If you don't like Dark Souls 2 so much that you would sit here and argue over the validity of my fun with the game then that's on you dude, I get it where you're coming from and I agree that Dark Souls 2 more than deserves the hate it gets, but that doesn't change the fact that I had fun playing it.

Bloodborne is well manicured dogshit. It plays like shit, the story is a wash, and the endless dungeons are a fricking joke, and I say this as someone who adores the game and would welcome more content related to it with open arms.
DaS2 was bad but I finished it unlike DaS3. Don't know why but 3 didn't interest me enough to finish it. DaS is still the best of the three for me. I also liked Sekiro and BB a lot.

This isn't even limited to Ganker; 95% of the internet is downright horrifically bad at engaging with Japanese game writing. Even in regards to franchises people claim to love.
I can sorta understand shit like Kingdom Hearts being so misunderstood because people are put off by the concept. But even games with pretty serious dramatic stories like MGS constantly suffer from people only being willing to approach them at arm's length.

Saw people hating Control. Tried it to test my laptop video card and it was interesting and fun, had amazing graphics and good combat. Plus some especially epic scenes.

It's a good game and she's the least obnoxious female protagonist of the last 15 years. I nominate Kingdom Come: Deliverance. God what a shitty game, I came in expecting a good, hard combat system and a typically good European RPG story and found a piece of garbage that was broken in half the second you learn a certain technique, skyrim-tier quests, basically no worthwhile side-content, terrible DLC (other than BOB) and a main story that never even gets finished. It's a game that's only like here because the dev told twitter troons to frick off. Fair enough but the game itself is average at best.

Most of the times I've enjoyed the games Ganker recommended me.
I played Yakuza and Yakuza 2 on the PS2 and I had to force myself to finish 2. That series would be the exception because it is a glorified movie game with shit combat.
Also pretty much everything recommended in steam sale hidden gems threads is hot garbage.
You know how Ganker prefers the vanilla versions of games and they're usually correct because the remaster/remake always ends up being a downgrade of some sort.

I tend to find Ganker trustworthy when they say something is good even if it's often oversold, the only games that come to mind that I played because of praise on Ganker that I didn't like are the Persona 2 games and FFXIV, but if I didn't play a game just because of Ganker shitting on it I would probably barely play anything.
I also got caught in the FFXIV hype. I really should've known better - following the advice of MMOgays and Gachagays is a horrible idea. And JRPGgays seemingly recommend every single one in existence. They're unable to tell which ones are good and which aren't, so they just recommend every one that managed to appeal to their low standards
Not trying to defend P2 - I like it but I can see why some wouldn't - but you DID play the PSX original instead of the neutered difficulty remakes right?
I did for EP, and I will grant for IS that I expect I would like the PSX version more if my time with EP was any indication, but I still don't think I would be very fond of the game. In hindsight I would have gone for the PSX version of IS, but I had no idea they had made the game so easy on PSP until after I beat it, I assumed the game was just like that as I was playing it.
