7900X and a 4080. Upgraded from a 5900X and 3080ti. I know it sounds ridiculous, but when playing at 4k, the jump in performance was seriously impressive. That 7900X runs cooler than the 5900X and it's broken 6ghz across multiple cores on a few occasions without me doing anything.
to be fair, that was a perfectly viable rig if you were only playing at 1080 up until just a couple years ago. I had that same setup for a few years, then upgraded to a 980, and then a 1080 before jumping ship back over to AMD when the Ryzen 5000 series was released.
That's what I got but I don't see myself upgrading because there's literally no game I want to play that will use any more hardware than what I have now. Currently I'm playing through KH series, it'll probably take a few months for me to complete it.
I know but I built my rig right during the middle of COVID so it was the cheapest option. Everything except Alan Wake 2 and Callisto runs fine at 60 FPS 1440 high, the latter because it was optimized by a homosexual and AW2 because thats actually a gorgeous looking game
>new games suck
Ah, the classic call of the jobless Gankerirgin. It's ok to have old hardware, but don't try to make it sound like you aren't upgrading because you're too cool for video games.
>1080p.
this is all you need. sheep fall for the 4k meme and are suckered out of THOUSANDS of dollars that would have been invested or spent on something like improving their house, themselves, or whatever... anything other an overpriced meme card.
>laughs in LG OLED, 4080, multiple nvme drives, an 1100+ game Steam library, new car, stacked savings account, retirement account, investments, and every console from NES up to PS5
One and a half years old packages in repo are a pain sometimes, the other day I had to compile the latest mangohud because the official release version didn't work with mint's glibc. Other than that it's a solid system, latest LMDE should have fresh packages from last debian.
I had a few small problems with Pop 21.10, but those were quickly resolved by System 76 not long after the install.
So far everything is running pretty damn sweet. Gaming is really good as well - except for the MP shit with anticheats, but oh well....
Just out of curiosity, you running Cinnamon?
5900 and a 3070ti here.
5600x and 7900xt, 32 gib ram at 1080p 144 hz

dare I say, based?
I had a 4790k and 970 up until a month ago. Upgraded to a 13600k and 4070.

ryzen 7 5800x3d and 3080rtx. been able to run games at 4k. shits pretty sick, glad reddit recommended this gpu.
>what gpu/cpu does the average Gankerirgin have
I banged your mom and sister in a twisted 3some, so I'm not a virgin, but anyway....
2600x and a 3060 12GB
3060ti
Ryzen 7 3700x
8gb, you fucked right up

i7-6820HK and 980m
It's still ok. I play things at max settings or petty close at 1080p.

holy fucking cope
>b-but m-muh 4-4K
>2023
>still pretending 4k is somehow inferior to 1080p
Anon, all you need to do is get a job like 20 hours a week and you can stop living in 2009.
>THOUSANDS
A higher end 30XX can do 4K just fine, and my 4K Samsung TV was like $800, probably could have gotten it for cheaper waiting on a sale

Get a job, son.
i haven't cope like this in a while lol. just admit you live in a third world country javier.
>THOUSANDS
you can buy a used rtx3070 for like 200 bucks and it will curbstomp anything from the 900, 1000 and 2000 series lol
neofetch thread?
Hello Mintbro, Popbro here, how is the Debain life going for you?

😉
3700x + 1060.
5800X3D + 3080ti
We're riding this bitch out until AM6 & the 6000 series or 9000 series AMD GPUs
Used to have a AMD FX8350 with a GTX 1050ti, upgraded to a 4600g with a RTX A2000
13700K + 4080
I'll probably buy a 5090 when it comes out and give this card to my friend
Ryzen 5600x + GTX 1080
Somehow I can still play most shit at 1440p ultrawide, just not at high settings.
3600x and a 6700xt here
Though this is not my main PC or most powerful laptop, just the one I use in bed
That's ironic, cause I use your mom in bed.
i5 6th and 1060 6GB. I just play fighting games so i don't need to upgrade, but if Tekken 8 requires more resources, then I'm obliged to upgrade.
>if Tekken 8 requires more resources
You'll be fine.
I coomed sooo many times... sooo soooo soooooo many times.
Ryzen 5 5600x RTX 4070 32gb ram
Intel Dual Core
Integrated chip
12700K & 7900 XTX
12400 + 2060
5600G and GTX 1660
My rig I got like 3 months ago.
5800x3d and 3060 ti
I had an 8 year old laptop. Upgraded to i9 13900k + 4080 in July
3600x and a 6800. Don't regret splurging on the 16 GB of VRAM.
7800X3D and an RTX 3090. My game show prize money came in, so I splurged. But I also wasn't going to do a single gen upgrade on my GPU.
Been running an i7 6800k and a 1080 ti for a long while, feeling the age of the CPU especially recently
