I think the only way to bring Sly Cooper back is to have the original developers involved or to reboot the franchise with a different cast of characters (maybe Sly's child or father as the protagonist). Thieves in Time wasn't bad, but it felt off.
Sadly sex sells so if they wanted to continue the franchise they needed to make furries sexy. I think normies are ready for that right now or very soon, it'll be the next meme psyop fetish.
Sucker Punch moved on to other shit like InFamous. It's like how Naughty Dog moved on from Crash Bandicoot and Jak and Daxter.
The only company still making their original platfomer hit is Insomniac who're still making Ratchet and Clank games.
Do Insomniac still make Spyro games, or they did sell the IP to someone else? I remember playing a demo of a PS2 or PS3 Spyro game that felt like a shitty upscale of their PS1 games.
Universal Interactive (then Vivendi Games) owned the Spyro IP like they owned the Crash IP and got other companies to keep making Spyro games after Insomniac went on to Ratchet and Clank.
Digital Eclipse, Eurocom, Check Six/Equinoxe, Krome Studios, Amaze, Vicarious Visions, Toys for Bob/Sanzaru.
Universal gave this IP around like a cheap prostitute.
With the state of Ratchet and Clank currently being what it is, I'm glad Sly is dead. Series don't have to go on forever, lets just enjoy what we have.
Out of the big three PS2-era platformer franchises I always thought of it as slightly below Jak and Daxter while Ratchet and Clank stood above both.
But overall I think it was just that Sucker Punch decided to move on. They did all they could with the gameplay before it got *too* stale and left it when they could.
Well including this one there’s 3 threads up now.
As for what happened basically Sucker Punch just moved onto infamous and ghost of tsushima. It sucks though because Sly is an amazing series.
2 > 3 > 4 > 1
your list is all fricked up
1>3>2
furries
ELLIOT IS A FURgay!!!!!!!!
You get an F for being a gayula

Sucker Punch found more success with Infamous, and now Ghost of Tsushima.
It finished. Then they gave the property to another company and they left the series on a cliffhanger.
>Left the series on a Cliffhanger
When and how?
He found blood in his stool one day and it turned out to be bowel cancer. Doctors say maybe one month left.
All the games after the first sucked. The open world gimmick ruined the original gameplay
None of these games were open world, poser
Wrong

But Carmelita is sexy already?
>Sadly sex sells
That's why they gave Mario a hot brother
That man is a psychopath.
This opinion boggles my mind.
1 (ignoring gimmick levels) had solid and unique level design. I played 2 and its just a hub world with incredibly short "levels". 1 mogs 2.
He said the N-word.

I tried playing 1 recently I don't understand how you can enjoy these games unless you are a literally baby
so childish
elaborate?

ratchet and clank is barely a platformer
The furry mascot trend died off, there was only room for Ratchet and Sonic.
