That had to absolutely fricking blow for the team making it. You spend all that time making a fairly okay monster hunter clone for the PC market and launch pretty much the exact same time the real deal starts getting PC releases. Absolutely annihilated before you could even try.

Guild Wars 1. Game has some interesting mechanics for skill selection, but the maps suck the bosses suck the gameplay is slow and boring and you just click every skill to target every enemy. I'm told the PvP was where it shined but by the time I got to it the PvP was dead and its just an incredibly dull empty map exploration sim where you can grind for skins. Pretty impressive that you can take a game about rappers fighting with god powers that can blow up the stage and make it so fricking boring. Everything works as intended, but everything that does work is completely uninteresting outside of the previously mentioned stage explosion gimmick that gets old after a fight or two.

Swiniging and exploring is fun but the combat is mediocre at best and the stealth sections would have been lambasted in an early 00's PS2 game for being truly fricking attrocious back then, never mind now. How the frick the press thought this was an 8/10 is proof Sony pays them off.

It's kind of amazing how they actually doubled-down on everything that was wrong with the first game. Feels a bit spiteful.

        Anonymous

I don't have a PS5 and played the first one on PC but everything I've seen about it feels like they saw all the criticism of the first one, got angry and added more of the shit people hated just to prove a point (Or more likely thought complainers were goober grapers whining you have to play as Mary Jane. No one had a problem playing as MJ. The problem is those sections were rancid dog turd to play through)

And the thing is, this shit happened 20 years ago when Radical Entertainment made The Hulk, based off the film. That game had really good Hulk sections but for some bizarre reason they added in Bruce Banner stealth sections that weren't very good. Reviews pretty much said the same and they wanted more Hulk, less Banner. Fun game, not quite 5/10 material because The Hulk smash bits were fun. I'd call it a firm 6 (Frick those mutant dogs though)

The response from the developer though. They got the chance to make a "Sequel" which would put Hulk in an open world and all focused about combat and fun physics shit called Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. But you know what they did? They added a stealth mission. Except it would feature the Hulk using a military tank to sneak into a military base and it was hilarious. The mission was also really easy as well so you felt in on the joke as well. Reviews saw it and laughed because the developers did see the feedback, laughed and fricked with people back in a cute way. Really good game, 8/10 easily.

Anyone over 12 is old enough to be a parent. Doesn't indicate anything about their mental age.

Pretty much all PlayStation games in the last 10 years. You can literally watch the games on YouTube and get 90% of the experience without having to pay 70 dollars.

I wouldn't pay 70 dollars for a movie, why is pressing X to win getting a free pass?

I think for me, I'd say Kingdom Hearts 3. It was almost aggressively mediocre to me. Like it had some good ideas, some good moments, but it just all felt so shallow. The story was slow and boring before they tried to tie up 20 years of plot threads in the last hour (and made the mobile games pivotal to the plot even though they said it wouldn't be necessary.) The gameplay kept stopping itself to tell you to transform or use a team attack or use an attraction.

I'd played and beaten pretty much every Kingdom Hearts game prior to it, and once I beat it I gave it away to a friend that wanted to try it and told them to keep it.

usually i dont bother playing shitty games, i drop em, since thats the case the most mediocre game ive played is Doom 64

its the worst game ive finished, so i guess it wasnt total shit, but it was a absolute snorefest towards the end, i only finished it because i was near the final boss by the time i got sick of it

Mad Max. It's just a mish-mash of every soulless trope in games at the time. Ubislop open world with bad, batham combat.

      you can add Rage 2
for every thing it does great, it shits the bed in somewhere else

the narrative is so fricking bad it legit hurts the game, and the fact the game is too easy and has no depth makes most fight pointless
lets not forget the shit ending, and map too big and literally unused with race tracks that are never used in the game, which the studio fricking does every time

Vampire Rain. It was like they barely managed to finish the game, it was scuffed as frick. 20$ was too much for it it felt like a 5$ steam game.

    Palworld.
I bought that game because all my friends did and fell for FOTM. Played it for 5 hours and uninstalled it because it was a generic survival game where the bootleg pokemon seemed like an afterthought.
