Also are there any decent hd texture packs for MM yet, like OOT reloaded?

I assigned the d pad up and down to up and down on the c pad, and triangle and circle for left and right, respectively. Otherwise it makes playing the ocarina awkward.

There's MM Reloaded as well but I don't know if it works for soh yet, probably will be updated in the near future.

why did they rush it out two weeks before 2 Ship 2 Harkinian? they needed to add analog camera in an update.

only a ship troony would think like that, a single man released a fully functional port without cutting corners first and you think he rushed it.

the camera was added two weeks later after he released it, on the day 2 Ship 2 Harkinian launched.

accurate graphics and audio were in the first release of the recomp, meanwhile ships of trannies rushed their port with dogshit audio and graphics showing that they dont actually care about the game they are porting. mrwiseguy won.

Recomp had less QoL at launch but also isn't full of visual glitches like 2ship.

This person is gradually working on this project for free and releasing their progress publicly. The decompilation tool only released recently so of course not everything is implemented yet. This is how all open source projects work.

Except you can look at shipofharkinian and see it's trash. Bad audio, stutters, performance issues, can't go above 200fps on a 3080ti and a 7900x because it's shittly made and runs on the CPU.

              Anonymous

I don't encounter problems with it. Also, 200fps for what purpose honestly? the game runs 20fps originally. Does it need to go 10x faster/smoother?

    X: Attack (N64 B)
    O: Action (N64 A)
    Square: N64 C-Left
    Triangle: N64 C-Right
    L1: Toggle Map (N64 L)
    L2: Target (N64 Z)
    R1: N64 C-Down
    R2: Guard (N64 R)
    R3: N64 C-Up
Enable Ocarina on D-pad, additional items on D-pad, equipment as C-items, and right stick for free camera control. (Some of these might only be in OOT's PC port)

There. Now you have a control scheme which matches official control schemes for OOT 3D, WW HD, and TP HD, and makes gameplay more convenient.

    >everyone interested loves it
    >2ship2harkinian comes out
    >a sudden flood of threads are made about it talking about how superior it is compared to the port
    >have to advertise features that aren't in the game itself in an effort to prove it's better
    >these are made daily and each time they bring attention to how it's better

Those groupies are so obvious yet people don't even seem to notice it.

Can someone more intelligent and informed than me please explain what the actual difference between the two projects is? Why are there two to begin with and what is functionally different about the way they were made?

One group of devs decompiled the game for years, another group of devs designed native protocols to run it natively on PC. Then there's that other one guy who has a new set of tools that expedites the process, and he decided to rush out the same game the other devs worked on to demonstrate how quickly it can theoretically be accomplished.

        dont listen to this troony
the recomp is a port with accuracy being the main goal, so audio and graphics behaves the same as the N64 hardware, it will feature mods and improved graphics in the future (raytracing and high res textures).
the decomp (ships of trannies) is a rushed port by a group of amateur who got mad over the guy who ported the game correctly, so they decided to cut corners, it performs worse and has some serious audio and issues that can softlock your game.

this, but 2 Ship 2 Harkinian will support more mods.

no it wont, your troony port will require to recompile the entire thing while mr-wiseguy will use lua for a full mod support.
