Budokai Tenkaichi 3, Raging Blast 1 & 2, and Attack of the Saiyans. Extra shoutout for Supersonic Warriors 2, shit was insanely fun on DS.

      >Extra shoutout for Supersonic Warriors 2, shit was insanely fun on DS.
It was also bugged as shit. Some of the missions as some of the characters required you do something but didn't say it so you spent dozens and dozens of attempts trying to figure it out. Then you went online and saw people saying what you need to do and what worked for them (like beating the enemy in under 30 seconds, finishing with 65% ki or whatever)... But you already fucking did that and it didn't work. To this day I don't think there is a comprehensive guide on the game and the guides and advice on the internet contradict each other on what you're supposed to do in a given mission. So some people picking it up today on emulators are down for a world of frustration and replaying the same shit over and over again.

Dunno but I had fun with Legacy of Goku games and Xenoverse 2. What a shame Kakarot turned out to be awful garbage.

How about we get a good dragon ball game first, because not even that exists.

Honestly, I wish there were more games where you can create a character and change the plot. But considering that Time Patrollers are now a thing, they’ll probably never have that now

My favorites are Tenkaichi 2 (don't like 3's soundtrack, voices, and the story mode is even worse than the usual bad story mode which only Budokai 1 had an actual good one) and Buu's Fury, which I think only released in the US.
The perfect DBZ game would be some fusion between Xenoverse and Kakarot, but actually good.

    Legend of the Super Saiyan.

For me it's Raging Blast 2. Every character felt the same at the start but the more time I put in, the more depth I got out of it. Also it has no annoying mechanics like the dragon rush Rock Paper Scissors shit in the Budokai games.

      >Legacy of Goku
      >Budokai 3
      >Budokai Tenkaichi 3
      >FighterZ
      >Origins 1 and 2

I like Kakarot in concept adapting filler and side episodes, but the gameplay was too easy and in spite of them "adapting dbz as true as possible to the show", they made a lot of unnecessary retcons amd alterations. (Future Trunks had multiple fights in the Cell Games cut, Battle of the Gods and Resurrection F had their main plots changed, etc.)

I liked the fighting and the weird fusions like Gokule and Tiencha but the storymode board game was pretty bad and it took too long to unlock characters.

        [...]
I was a dumb kid who never read the game dialogue for Buu's Fury. I got to around after we unlocked Gotenks and didn't know where to go, so I spent real world weeks (or a month) just aimlessly killing enemies repeatedly in search of what would kick off the next part of the story. By the time I eventually found Broly (the part I needed to be) my chars like Gotenks were strong enough to literally 1-shot him with a single basic attack. I grinded by accident.

        >Play LoG2
        >Get through it fine enough
        >Play buu's furry
        >Have no idea I can level up stat's in the menu
        >Beat the whole game without raising stats
Funniest shit too was I was using the goku's cap to level up since I thought did know it gave me more "points" even though I had no idea I was supposed to spend them to get stronger. Anyways that game was hard as fuck for me.

it forces you into the town once you get the 6th ball though

The mountains were too confusing for me as a dumb little kid. I think I had passed the entrance to Broly's boss fight simply by the rocks or whatever appearing to be a wall, so I never tried walking through them. Either way, it was funny and disappointing when I couldn't see Broly's moves. I didn't even know what grinding was at the time but I knew that it had been affected by my weeks of leveling up vs normal enemies.

While I understand why 99% of the DBZ games are fighting games, I would wish for more games that are just in the DBZ setting/world. I was really looking forward to Dragonball Breakers, but after playing it and finding out that it is just another low budget potato game, my wait continues. I dont even know for what I am waiting tbh. Maybe just the old obscure dbz games but in a modern style

What's your problem with the Breakers besides being a graphicsfag

        >besides being a graphicsfag
        not at all

gameplay/movement/the overall feel just felt really cheap, like there is months of polish missing.
its kinda hard to describe, but it was one of these games you play and you notice in the first 5 seconds that something is way off.
        >but it was a beta
it wasn't, it was a playtest 3 weeks before the game comes out, I doubt that they are changing something

I think you're just missing the point like complaining about why you can't run and shoot in RE4

You didn't tell me why you just gave me a vague answer about the gameplay and movement being unpolished and didn't elaborate further I wish I could thank you for the same insightfulness but you seem to be purposefully avoiding that for some reason

It was a beta an older build at that, they even showed off the newest build an hour after announcing the Open Beta

Xenoverse with more pc races, better customization, bt3 tier roster of literally everyone, greater focus on what if scenarios.
    Literally the perfect game.
