Absolutely not. If they patched all the bugs and streamlined the game (because a ton of stuff either doesn't work or is just pointless like the a chunk of the perks or ubisoft-esque padding) then all that would be left is a 4/10 linear shooter with some minor rpg elements.
I think it has worth as a story driven experience. It as a bunch of pretty interesting quests.
it just sucks because from the cyberpunk Tabletop, and with the fact that it gives you choices, you kinda expect a Bloodlines/New Vegas style RPG, where you can make your own choices, and you're not really getting that.
For me: overhaul the talents, overhaul combat a bit, overhaul police completely, iron out bugs
and I'd say it's solid 7/10, maybe 8/10 would recommend game. As it is right now, it's "meh, you can get it on a sale and you'll have a time, but it's not gonna be mindblowing".

That's exactly why it deserves a low, low score. They hyped this game to the moon with all the supposed innovations and a living breathing world that reacts to every action you take. I'm glad to see the indie scene stepping up to create creative and interesting work when AAA publishers are content to churn out incremental changes or remakes of the same IPs. I feel modern companies are terrifyingly risk averse to new content and experiments to the point that substitutionism (disguising new IP or direction as old content, as we see with some remakes and remasters) has become commonplace.
It's dark, cold and rainy here, but my jacket keeps the worse off and as long as the fire doesn't go out we'll last til the morning.

Apperently the dark dudes made another series but shitflix instantly canceled it despite it being good or so I heared. I hope we get much more from germany. Clearly they have the mind for mystery and whacky things. Atmosphere. Though I read that signalis development started in 2014...
It's never as bad as people think, but it's a lot worse than it could be.
I'm glad to see the indie scene stepping up to create creative and interesting work when AAA publishers are content to churn out incremental changes or remakes of the same IPs. I feel modern companies are terrifyingly risk averse to new content and experiments to the point that substitutionism (disguising new IP or direction as old content, as we see with some remakes and remasters) has become commonplace.
It's dark, cold and rainy here, but my jacket keeps the worse off and as long as the fire doesn't go out we'll last til the morning.

I still remember the late 00s/early 10s when pre-order DLC was massive chunks of the game's content. I remember store-exclusive DLC content for games.
I remember mid 00s when games were half-finished messes with "expansions" being hacked up content.
I remember when AAA titles followed the exact same formula (saturated piss filters, raspberry jam in FPS, bland-looking protags, "an ancient evil" RPGs)
I remember when shit got so bad with mainstream vidya's focus on graphics, while letting gameplay turn to shit, that indie games became a breath of fresh air.
I remember when Skyward Sword was the first big Zelda title that was complete ass.
I remember the Kinect.
I remember the wagglin, and EVERYONE had their own version
The industry looks bad when you grow up because you can scrutinize it.
When you're a kid, everything is awesome because you don't have standards.
The 80s and 90s had some of the largest steaming piles of cultural shit (not just vidya) but we fondly remember the gems and nostalgically like the garbage.

AAA is permanently fricked. Liveservice killed the multiplayer, open world killed the singleplayer.
There is a revived AA scene (still sometimes called "indie" for some reason) which cranks out decent, interesting and fun games.
Indie has become a neverending stream of boring rehashes and pretentious "art" games. It was always like this, but now it's worse than ever.
PC won. PS and Xbox are just PCs in fancy cases. Nintendo are still in their safe bubble, but the darksness outside draws nearer.

BFV was great, frick off. The weapons felt great, it had fun maps, good time could be had in BFV. Much better than BF1, much better than 2042. Probably better than 4.
