4K is moronic over 1440p for a PC monitor

    - Can't be used without HiDPI scaling
    - Is way too hard to run games on, hope you have a 4090
    - Shit refresh rates
    - Expensive

1080p is for esports Black folk (that I dominate on my 120Hz panel anyway)
1440p is pretty good on small screens, which are inherently lame
4K is for real gamers, i.e. people that don't care that they cant run the latest globo homo.

      >Can't be used without HiDPI scaling
      False
      >Is way too hard to run games on, hope you have a 4090
      >What are old games
CRT filters look best at 4K too. Also, the 4090 is for high refresh 4K, my $600 3080 Ti runs every game I've tried at 60+FPS with DLSS enabled. Speaking of which, DLSS works best at high resolution.
      >Shit refresh rates
      Skill issue
      >Expensive

This. Having a 4090 with 2 4K 144hz monitors and an oled 4K LGC1 is truly an unparalleled gaming experience.

    purely gaming?
1440p 165hz, 1080p high fps is a cheaper and also acceptable alternative
if you do work, 4k is pretty helpful

Native resolution gaming is dying at 1440p and above. 1080p is the only hope to have a decent experience now without using AI bullshit to compensate.

1440p ultrawide 140-170Hz. Honestly I don't care about 120Hz-ish. 1440p is decent enough, 4k would be better but I don't have the room to cool a 4090 so can't do 4k until I buy another house (bong problems).

4k on low settings is a way better experience than 1080p on ultra

1440p obviously. But have a TV on standby for 4k. I don't know why you would buy a 4k monitor, just get a TV.

      >I don't know why you would buy a 4k monitor
I don’t know why you would buy a 1440 one. If you’re gonna cheap out why not just get a 1080p one? Both of mine are 4K 144hz

i play with a 1070 / 9600k, and the most important thing for me is playing in 4k, then with the highest picture quality possible, and I cap framerate at 30fps on most games in order to squeeze the most juice out of this OCd three fan beast
