you're supposed to just play the main story quest and unsub afterwards, so drop the endgame mindset. just be mindful that it doesnt get good until like, 100 hours or however long it takes you to get the first expansion storywise.
>OSRS is going nowhere
it still gets updates m8, that's actually the issue, the community is mixed on the updates >WoW is dying
Classic+ got announced, it's coming out on the 30th this month m8
I certainly wish there was something like OSRS, where you're actually meant to get abreast of the world, its characters, and all the items, because the details about them can be used for adventure puzzles in one way or another, but then combine it with a game that has more multiplayer aspects to it and gameplay to its skills.
I mean, Jagex is certainly working on such things, but there's large swathes of the game where the only "gameplay" is just picking which locale you wanna click on a resource node in, and there's still not a lot done to make other players actually matter and be helpful outside of designated multiplayer content areas. Sailing could represent a huge turning point for the game, but I'll hold my breath for now.
Eso is pretty good if you want quest stuff and casual.
Just consider that it's a subscription based game and playing without subscription is not an option.
my friend is trying to get me to start on another ragnarok online private server but I don't want to
I kind of feel like fucking around on project ascension but that shit just feels dead
don't know what to do
Everyone is playing GTA V online. Lots of content and good role-playing servers. It's not really fantasy, but some of the DLCs do add some interestingly creative content.
>Everyone is playing GTA V online
It's either "retards kill you from flying bike all the time" or "retards roleplay fucking cops".
I really miss the early days of gta online.
real life
shit I meant MMORPG
do you know what a MMORPG is motherfucker? real life is not a MMORPG, it's not even a game
yes it is and you're losing it
Am I?
real life is a rigged game, dare i say more rigged than any of the scummiest MMOs
ffxiv obviously, it's literally the only good mmorpg you can play in 2023
Heard it takes way too long to get to endgame. Also there's a thread up right now telling people to unsub.
are we still talking about real life?

Everyone at endgame currently are bored and miserable. Why would you want to be there?
That’s literally why it’s good anon, most content is evergreen so you take literal years to reach end game and don’t get left out
i play ffxiv and do not recommend playing it
what happened with OSRS? I lost interest like a year ago after 1k hours
well it's redditscape for one
reddit has ran osrs for the past 10 years. this is nothing new.
and that makes you a homosexual for playing it
Nothing. People here just seethe endlessly about it.

runescape was a glorified chat room but now nobody even bothers to chat so I don't see the point of it
You are still using a wiki , stop pretending you double nagger
is gw2 really bad? i was considering trying it since other mmos are leaving me starving
gw2 is fun and the least fomo centric mmo ever made
you say that but WoW never hid extra inventory slots behind seasonal events
i just play it for the wvw, it's easy as piss to get gear for it. the story is trash but doing the maps is kinda fun.
BUMP I ALSO NEED AN MMO TO PLAY
mabinogi
It would be so easy to make GW2 good but somehow the devs have failed at every turn on purpose

Season of discovery looks dope.
It looks like retail lmfao
It's like retail if you removed all the bullshit and only kept the good stuff.
It’s classic with retail spells with a worse implementation than private servers, shit is cringe
threshold rpg
I think that once developers really start taking advantage of AI, there will be a breakthrough in MMOs.
nigga we already got scam bots, gold farming bots, and myriad other bots, AI won't do shit
AI is already pretty advanced.
Your PC can do a lot, now imagine what nvidia quadro or intel arc are capable of.

go play uaRO. they just hit 1000 online and still growing.
>5x
1x or bust

Play an actual RPG and not an MMO
Move onto HRPGs.
