I don't actually play multiplayer games that are forced matchmaking trash but I'm convinced you morons are just coping with being bad

Any game with matchmaking is gonna have that more or less
find a game with a server browser or stop playing multiplayer games.

If you can't carry your team to victory 80% of the time you just aren't good and don't deserve higher elo

cant do it when after a 15 matches win streak the rigged matchmaker decided I won too much and my winrate is too high so for the next 10 or so games it stacks all the good players into the enemy team and all the inbred useless brain damaged morons avaialble in que right into my team to guarateed me losses and bring my winrate back in check

in games like MOBAs like League where you can respawn and gain gold which allow you to get stronger the more you kill and the better you play especially if you play well int he early game well in those games you might have a chance to carry total morons by getting so fricking strong you can 1v5 enemy team (even tho even in those games you can be uber stronger and still lose in the late game because one of your team gets caught out or does something stupid)
but the games I am talking about specifically are like vehicular pvp games or other shooters where you cannot get stronger the more you kill, and when you die to an unlucky shot you are out of the game
those games you cannot possibly carry a stack of total morons where none of them even shoots the fricking enemy team they just stand there like morons and get killed

This argument could actually be true for FPS, but for mathematically unwinnable games like Dota 2? Impossible.

        Anonymous

True, in the first years of dota2 you could outfarm the enemy and carry easy, but after the change that if you die once, the enemy get all the gold and exp they need to beat you, canct be done anymore

Damn straight. The infantilization that goes on in the modern multiplayer game market is infuriating.
      >Every popular game is just some crappy team game that tries to create an addictive cycle of nonsense while leaving just enough impact out of the match out of your hands so you have an easy way to blame everyone else but yourself for your loss

Every Black person wants to be carried and is unironically a snowflake little cupcake that can't handle catching an L that they can't blame on 4-5 strangers these days. Many such cases. Glad I lived through the golden age where duels in quake or UT, RTS games, racing games, fighting games, etc. were the norm and people called you out as a weak homosexual if you couldn't keep up and cried about it. Now every multiplayer game is fricking team based.

All the new ones. I remember a company (dudes behind Apex I think) publishing research papers about their matchmaking (EOMM). I stayed away from these games designed to make you develop an addiction after knowing that fact.

    >what team based online pvp games are the worst offenders of this?
First-person shooters. Probably mobas too. I don't know much about matchmaking for mobas but it's another normalgay-magnet genre so I'd expect it to also employ heavy EOMM.

It would be fair to assume that most multiplayer games with quick match are utilizing SBMM, and if the algorithms are set up correctly, this is exactly what should be happening. You may not like it, but it's what is most profitable, especially with live-service games. Time to come to terms with the fact that 99% of us are all just average when it comes to these games

      Anonymous

You would think that, and their marketing is based on making you think that, but really what happens is they stack teams. One-sided stomps are not close games even if they average out to 50-50.

I had to completely stop playing overwatch 2 because of this.
Oh you won too many games in a row? Gonna match you against the worlds greatest players and all your teammate will be first day players, nothing personal kid.
Server browser should be standard in every multiplayer game on earth.

    Practically all of them.

If you're interested in playing online games you're going to have to play games that don't involve other teammates like fighting games, battle royales, or RTS.

I gave up on multiplayer games entirely because of matchmaking.

you're not as good as you think you are, having 50% win rate means you're exactly right where you belong, even in team games like ASShomosexualS

  18. 1 year ago

The consistently boring defense of forced 50/50 (the belief that the person arguing against it believes they're amazing at the game) falls apart the moment you start arguing from the opposite end of the skill spectrum.

    >I'm bad/average
    >Win a couple of times
    >Now I'm being used as fodder along with two other poor bastards to tank some good player's winrate while the enemy team is clearly a stack/group or just generally really good

Happened with For Honor when Black Prior came out, I don't know why, but the playerbase skyrocketed to numbers higher than the original release, something like 220,000 players on Steam alone. Everybody was new, so because I simply understood the basic combos and how to parry, my winrate shot up well above what it was averaging before the release. Because of that, and as the playerbase slowly but surely dwindled back down to about 5K so all the players left were knowledgeable at the game, I would just consistently get my ass kicked. I'm talking 30+ loss streaks, and my victories were blatantly me being carried by someone way better than me. Six months into the game, with constant week-long breaks, the algorithm was still trying to undo the winrate boost I got winning against new players. I loved that game, but I couldn't continue. It was depressing experiencing that.

      This

Forced 50 fricks over average players by blatantly using them to manipulate the winrate of players well above their skill level, and it's never even subtle about it. It's always some shit like

      >Diamond Rank
      >Diamond Rank
      >Diamond Rank
      >Copper Rank

      vs.

      >Diamond Rank
      >Gold Rank
      >Gold Rank
      >Gold Rank

It doesn't take a genius to understand the top team is going to fricking demolish the bottom team.

Does this count? Clearly some homosexual fairness mentality over MTF waiting on surface presumably to avoid grenading chaos at spawn or something.

With enough games, everyone except the top 0.5% of players will reach 50/50 win rate eventually. It's only logical, the only way to avoid it is perpetually smurf.

This is why I only play world of tanks, because it packs both teams with 44% wr adhesive connoisseurs every match.
You can consistently perform better than 99% of the playerbase, because the odds that any given opponent has minimum 1 braincell is approximately 1%.
I have personally witnessed players demonstrating that they lack object permanence.
    It's unreal.

I'm pretty sure that ELO in matchmaking games is more RNG than anything. You can be good and get high ELO but you don't have to be, you just have to get matched against garbage.

Games pairing you with completely random healthy mixes of morons and semi-competent players will always be better than the current way of 50% of the time your team is legitimately missing 4 chromosomes where as the other 50% of the time your team is turbosweats that communicate ever minute detail.
