                Yes he did.
When you think of sewer levels, what game does it make you think of.
In order to think of a sewer level you need to think of a sewer level in a game in order to think of a game, that's the game he's asking for.
I know you're trying your hardest to be "clever" and "oh when I think of sewer levels I think of a game that doesn't have one lololmao because i'm special"
Step 1, think of a sewer level
Step 2, what game does that sewer level you though of remind you of, i.e. the game it is from.
That is the game you will think of first, because it is the game with the sewer level you thought of.

                Anonymous

                >I know you're trying your hardest
I didn't even realize you were taking it this seriously until now, wew lad.
People without assburgers don't categorize their memory of vidya levels by strict in-universe purpose. They remember a network of concrete underground tunnels with a waterway and file it under "sewer levels".
The very meme about games using sewers as unimaginative/easy padding implies that the levels leave the same impression, regardless of whether they are carrying human waste, fresh water, flood water, blood, or liquid helium. You still made a grey tunnel maze that goes 'splish-splosh'.

Err, no. He might've IMPLIED, that a game, associated with sewer levels, must have that sewer level, but he hadn't wrote it - only about games, that comes first to mind when one thinks about a sewer level. As in "when i think of green leaves, my PTSD reminds me of a boring class without anything in it but a green with envy moron".

        >these things are still fricking terrifying
For a while, and then they just get annoying. If you could walk through them it wouldn't be an issue, but being body blocked as you're trying to explore isn't fun.

          Anonymous

If they couldn't body block you, they'd be nothing at all. It's the only way they'll ever get a hit against you. At least the game gives you lots of chances to take them out in wide open areas.

            Anonymous

I get that, but at the same time it might make them scarier if they could just pop up whenever instead of blocking the player immediately as they start to appear. In practice, you move around until you're blocked, which alerts you to an enemy, causing you to move back so you can shoot it as it surfaces. It ends up feeling too much like whack-a-mole for me. If they instead had been collision-less until they were mostly up, it would have been harder to notice them by just walking at random, which could make them a scarier enemy. Maybe you'd have to give them a longer attack range to compensate for it, but that shouldn't cause any problems.

    Summoner (by Volition)
well it is a lesser known game but this was a medieval RPG with this capital city called Lenele, it had sewer level underneath. At certain points in the story it had to be used to sneak into the city. Within the lore of the game another civilization used to live before humans. So the Sewers had the typical 'brown water' aesthetics at some points but some other sections were ancient ruins. The city also had an infestation of tribal creatures called Bacites, who had a little settlement doen there. It's not the greatest level ever but they tried to develop it with Lore so I wanted to bring it up.

I don't know, but I like them from fantasy sewers and all manner of underground subterranean environments in vidya and in tabletop games.

Something about a thriving ecosystem right under the nose of civilization with its own set of rules living underneath an urban setting/environment right under civilized society and everyday ordinary people's feet consisting of slime creatures, beasts/monsters looking for a hovel/place to not be disturbed, goblins, kobolds, cults/covens finding secrecy, lizardmen/sahuagins eking out a small territory within the dirty sewer system, smugglers/thief organizations, forgotten beasts just roaming across the corridors, etc, etc, the possibilities are endless, is an amusing concept to me. The thought of being right in the middle of civilization, at close reach yet feeling far away, finding trash/treasure left/forgotten many eons ago by several generations of dwellers, and an urban infrastructure/environment feeling like a subterranean jungle, always made fantasy sewers an exciting place to explore.

Perhaps it may be rose-tinted goggles for the BGM, maybe it was because that was my guilds hang-out spot for years on end, but there will always be a wash of calm over me just chilling there, shooting the shit with friends, and then heading into the culvert to go and beat the shit out of stuff

      >dwarf player ruining an erotic roleplay
Yeah, that's me. I like playing as a dwar and i hate erotic roleplays in any place i consider to be unsuitable for them. So i always do everything possible to prevent that shit.
