I don't get SM64, since non-Mario 3D platformers died after the 5th gen, but OoT only really pioneered Z-targeting which debatably isn't a good mechanic.
N64 really spearheaded the leap to 3D. It was crazy watching the industry circle around nintendo in the mid 90s as they taught everyone how to have creative and intuitive 3D game design
Tetris

OOT
Metal Gear Solid 1
Tomb Raider
Resident Evil 1
Resident Evil 4

Pretty bold of this dipshit to assume nobody else can come up with simple game design ideas. Why post retard takes like these? What do you have to gain?
Zelda maybe
Mario not so much. It was extremely relevant for a good many years after it released though. Half-Life and Quake are both way more influential in the grand scheme of things.
Doom and Quake were more revolutionary and foundational for 3D gaming than any other games. Literally every FPS released after Quake has some of John Carmack's code in it.
also
i, robot for being the first true 3d game ever made
spasim for being the first 3d multiplayer game ever made
these 2, spacewar and pong are the true backbone of every game ever made
Tetris

>piosneed
sega did this with virtual on in 1996. try again tendie.
can't pioneer something if nobody plays your shit game. That's why doom is seen as the progenitor of fps and Wolfenstein is a minor footnote.
SM64 and OOT are overrated
Is Auster a real person?
MGS revolutionized the movie games
RE4 revolutionized TPS
GTA 3 revolutionized open world sandbox
big points for their respective genres and before this it was mostly Nintendo and doom doing the pioneering.
What about system Shock, thief, StarCraft, half-life, Quake, final fantasy?
Shut up chud
ultima underworld mogs anything nintendo has ever done.

Yeah and if the Wright Brothers never made that plane we'd still be using ships for intercontinental travel, right?

>Resident Evil 4
Honestly best answer so far. Zoomers have no idea how hard this game changed the genre.
The hidden difficulty mechanic gate keeping all the shitters is still the best thing ever
>"Its not a survival game, its action!"
Fucking. Outed.
>le hidden mechanics aka dynamic difficulty thats been in arcade games since the early 80s
you retards are all the same.
Even on professional, where dynamic difficulty is turned off, it is mostly and action game.
>Missing half the games
>No Doom, Quake 2/3, Hal Life/CS
>No C&C, Age of Empires,Warcraft,Starcraft,Diablo, RO
>All of them console games

You just posted them.

The platforming in Half-Life was included because GabeN loved Super Mario 64.
?feature=shared&t=673
okay but Half-Life's own more original elements still inspired modern gaming way more than SM64 influenced it.
And no one likes half-life’s platforming.
>last 20 years
and nothing of value would be lost, fuck nintendo
God I hate Nintendo so much it's unreal.

Wood and Quale aren't even 3D games. Are you joking right now?
I've never heard of Wood and Quale.
I don’t think you’ve played either of them.
>Wood and Quale
>gun come of chest
>everything is 2D sprites
>character moves at the speed of light
Nobody copied these games
You must be over 18 years old to post here.
>implying some other studio wouldn't have made a fully 3d game at some point
Everyone knows these games were important, but you'll never see this fag lavishly praise any other games
Are tendies really this delusional?
>is nintendo still wining
yes.
None
spacewar simply because its the first videogame ever made
and pong for being the first home console videogame ever maed
