To this day I don't think there has been a game that had more theory and discussion pre launch then MgsV had. We then got the game and 90% of it died and a few mind broken fucks tried to keep theories going.
The red band e3 2013 trailer still lives on as the greatest game trailer ever in my mind. Then the actual game came out

Originally a buddy you'd find in Africa that would have replaced the Volgin fight, he got cut because his role was too similar to Quiet and DD (scouts the map and kills enemies but instead of a sniper he used a machete).

I dumped 120 hours into this game on release and loved it for the most part but for the life of me I cannot replay it. It killed my yearly series playthroughs because I know it's at the end.
I honestly don't even remember, and I don't care.
I can't think of another game that ended like MGSV did, where you're just playing and playing and then you suddenly realize the game ended 20 hours ago.
