Isn't the actual lore that they're both part of the Hylian race, which is distinct from regular humans who don't have pointy ears?

One of the better parts of the game. They didn't need to add this, but it adds a lot and shows they actually cared to make a great game.

You can play Epona's song to get free milk from cows. I think everyone knows that though.
I just learned about both of these things in my last playthrough, although that was only my second time playing the game. I didn't notice that the big healing fairies you can make appear with the Song of Storms and Sun's Song actually had wings.
