An Ok game, 6,5/10. Fun at the start but the main story is a massive slog and it becomes painful later on. Combat on hard was fun tho, didn't expect that.
That's not really surprising. Harry Potter is a massive franchise, one of the most profitable ones. It would actually be weird if it didn't sell more than ER.
puppet e-tuber lets play attention whore. If that word salad sounds cringey as fuck, thats because it is. I can't imagine watching a woman play videogames and feeding their cancerous ego, let alone one that masquerades behind an anime girl because they're too ugly to actually be on camera. You get this rigid cardboard cutout making gayy exaggerated reaction noises constantly while loser subhumans act like its the most entertaining thing ever. Only the most pathetic, sad, reject people would watch that shit and pretend its not unbelievably mentally ill. Feel no pity for them, they deserve only disgust.
I relly want to play it but I wait a year or 2 on singleplayer games to just let all the content and balance patches come out. Any essential mods already?
Honestly I really enjoyed it, and the story actually went on for a while. The only downside is once you've finished the story it's just ubisoft collectibles all over the map which makes you want to stop playing altogether.
It was an "OK" game, boosted in popularity because of the Harry Potter brand. The attempt at stirring up controversy failed utterly because normies don't care about trans rights or whatever, although it was funny watching the cope from games journalists talking about how this single player game is being "abandoned" by the players who "justified" supporting Rowling.
had some good bits here and there but overall it was just another by the numbers bland open world game with a harry potter paint over it. unnistalled it right after finishing the main story
It was a good 7/10 game that gets bumped up to an 8 or 9 depending on how much you like the Harry Potter setting. It also showed nobody gives a fuck about chuds and their enablers loud screeching all over every form of social media.
Pros: >Amazing landscape and aesthetics >Lovely Hogwarts interior and exterior design >Some spells are cool and flashy >Character customization is detailed >Broom flying is intuitive >Wand customization is fine (but way too little options) >Nice sound and voice designs
Cons: >It's not a school sim >Your choices do not matter AT ALL >No house point system >No pet owl/cat/frog/rat system >Universe is mostly about the school, so anyways here's an open-world ubisoft map that's 90% not about the fucking school >You start as a fifth year to avoid all the internet drama about character romance (yet they fail to realize how Goblet of Fire happened in 4th year and STILL they leave romance or ANY character relationship out of the game) >No bullying either, you only hear it happen to characters >Facial animations are pretty bad >A ridiculously low amount of usable spells and every situation can only be done with one specific spell >Generic Ubisoft collect-a-thon >Generic Ubisoft ""RPG"" clothes and gear >Classes are filler and have almost no consequences for attending one >No companions (you can mod it back in) >Ravenclaw didn't get a proper companion >Stealth has pretty bad detection >They failed to realize how combat isn't what made the HP universe interesting and made it the key selling point >The combat becomes boring and repetitive VERY fucking quickly (should have gone puzzle or turn-based and much-much less of it) >Ridiculous amount of handholding and "inner monologue" >The puzzles would have been nice if there weren't a thousand of the same thing scattered through the map
Here, that's my opinion of it. All in all? Bad and disappointing. It did make a lot of money, so it's either going to continue on this path or hopefully they now have the resources to make a better one in the future.
I disagree about the aesthetic. It should have went more cartoony and book like instead of just looking like every Triple A slop in the market. The Landscape, at least inside the Castle Area is peak though. Agree mostly with the rest. It should have went way harder on the school sim aspect.
Yeah this anon sums it up pretty well, its pretty but dull suffering from typical AAA open world design.
watching trannies seethe about it was fun at least
Some things just came to my mind about it which I left out because it was a while ago.
(more) Pros: >The teacher design is top notch (unfortunately we don't see much of it because your choices, dialogues and classes are meaningless) >The Sebastian questline is real great (although it was all a bit too quick on giving the Unforgivables to the PC)
(more) Cons: >Ridiculous fast travel system >soulless NPCs (no one bats an eye if you discover a secret in the school) >Very boring chosen-one main questline
What's odd about the last one is if you ask any HP fan, the vast majority of them will say that they wouldn't want to be a chosen main character. They'd just love to be an average student in the place with a wide variety of friends and rivals. When I was in Uni I asked around some people about this and as I said, most people would just love a Sims or Persona but in Hogwarts (except for the guys, they mostly said "Bully but in Hogwarts").
I disagree about the aesthetic. It should have went more cartoony and book like instead of just looking like every Triple A slop in the market. The Landscape, at least inside the Castle Area is peak though. Agree mostly with the rest. It should have went way harder on the school sim aspect.
>I disagree about the aesthetic. It should have went more cartoony and book like instead of just looking like every Triple A slop in the market.
Yeah I can respect your preference about it. Probably would have liked it more if it was more cartoony and whimsical but still I think it was nice enough.
an ubishit clone with Hogwarts is a much safer choice for rebooting the franchise for pc/consoles. the game literally can't fail unless the final product is so buggy and unoptimized it's unplayable.
Yeah, you are completely correct.
The issue with this is wether they will decide to make their next game "risky" or will they just stay on the path of easy money with this amalgamation of safe "game design" we have been seeing for the past decade from ubisoft.
Not worth playing unless you are some kind of harry potter obsessive. If you don't care about said brand it holds almost zero value.
Not because its the worst game ever, it isn't but design-wise it is every tired trope/mechanic/element from the previous generation of open world collectathons.
If you were hoping for Bully: Magic Edition you will be disappointed as its much closer to a ubisoft cut and paste job
for every neat thing it did it for 10 mediocre things that dragged it down
the open world trash was entirely unnecessary
the school aspect reeks of cut content
your house choice is utterly meaningless
you never feel like a student at all and you can't even interact with any students outside of quests. stuff like summoner's court and flying around on your broom should have just been a fun activity you can do anytime with other students for fun instead of quest chains.
fast travel is beyond soulless, you don't even get to whoosh yourself into a fireplace or whoosh into the destination fireplace with green flames or just have a small scene where your flying mount whooshes you away, just bland as fuck loading screen teleport
the goblin plot was beyond boring
It's a decent game, it's such a fucking massive "collect-a-ton" though and I wish we had more time in the school that fucking going on mass murders outside of it
what really angered me greatly was anytime there was even a small puzzle your character can't go 10 seconds without shutting the fuck about hints to solve it, any time i got into a situation like that i had to go into options and turn dialog volume to 0.
6.5/10 it's ok but it feels rather generic, the game peaks in the intro, and while the castle is amazingly designed the rest of the map makes ubislop maps look good in comparison
Just another generic open world with a harry potter skin. Doesn't do anything near interesting enough with its setting. People want to be immersed in the school as a student and until they understand and get that right harry potter games will always be disappointments.
I thought the game was great. >hogwarts was great >hogsmeade was oretty good >surrounding area was inoffensive >plot was servicable >Sebastian's side storie was good >Poppy's sidequests were fun >combat was surprisingly decent >Flipendo
I can still get the Hogsmeade theme stuck in my head and I havent played the game much in a long time.
8.9/10
Good but not great, with a little more polish to way flying and puzzles interacted (aka "Oi VEY yOU cAn'T lAnD hERe1!") it would have been a solid 9/10.
Kind of mediocre. Too many simple and repetitive puzzles. Shit gets too easy once you get a few lv3 upgrades slapped onto yellow gear. Diversity quota questlines are the low point of the game's narrative. There's just no joy in dicking around on the world map, which I think is necessary when making any open world game.
I used to hate trannies back when I bought this game, it's a purchase I've come to regret deeply, please don't let the hate blind you like it did to me, be a better man Ganker and support our girls.
It's nearly sold more than Elden Ring, and within it's lifetime it probably will. Use that information as you see fit.

>story is a massive slog
Sebastion stuff was the most fun. Games focus there would have been best tbh
Yeah, that's why I said "main story". Sebastian and Ominis were the most interesting characters by far.
Silvervale won. Trannies are done.
>she didn't get canceled while everyone else of her kind who played it did
Amazing.
Name one person who got cancelled because they played it. Actually cancelled, not making a video about how everyone is mean to them.
Absolutely no one got canceled for playing the game.
People were scared over nothing.
Who?

fun, but was a shame finding out yahtzee was a trannie lover
Are they going to expand or add DLC to the game?
I relly want to play it but I wait a year or 2 on singleplayer games to just let all the content and balance patches come out. Any essential mods already?
Probably gonna take a while since they're now working on a switch release.
>mods
https://rentry dot co/Non-NewtonianMods#hogwarts-legacy
meh
Mediocre just like any other AAA title
but it sold like hotcakes because it's HP and it's AAA
Honestly I really enjoyed it, and the story actually went on for a while. The only downside is once you've finished the story it's just ubisoft collectibles all over the map which makes you want to stop playing altogether.
5/10. Very bland Open-World game with an even worse story. Paid 4chancel shills were all over the place here.
Archive-kun, ban this bot too.
PS4 Release date: May 5, 2023

I did the tutorial and as soon as I got to the castle I forgot about it and I went back to my MMOs
had some good bits here and there but overall it was just another by the numbers bland open world game with a harry potter paint over it. unnistalled it right after finishing the main story
Mediocre. I dropped it close to the end to play another game that released around that time, and now I don't feel like picking it back up.
It was a good 7/10 game that gets bumped up to an 8 or 9 depending on how much you like the Harry Potter setting. It also showed nobody gives a fuck about chuds and their enablers loud screeching all over every form of social media.
Was a fun enough game, even as someone who got forbidden to watch the movies during childhood.
Doing the ubi-shit stuff got uninteresting fast though.

>A ridiculously low amount of usable spells and every situation can only be done with one specific spell
>Generic Ubisoft collect-a-thon
>Generic Ubisoft ""RPG"" clothes and gear
>Classes are filler and have almost no consequences for attending one
>No companions (you can mod it back in)
>Ravenclaw didn't get a proper companion
>Stealth has pretty bad detection
>They failed to realize how combat isn't what made the HP universe interesting and made it the key selling point
>The combat becomes boring and repetitive VERY fucking quickly (should have gone puzzle or turn-based and much-much less of it)

Sounds about right. They got the aesthetic and castle right.
Everything else was boring. If they could have just made the story slightly more interesting or any of your choices matter it would have helped.
I disagree about the aesthetic. It should have went more cartoony and book like instead of just looking like every Triple A slop in the market. The Landscape, at least inside the Castle Area is peak though. Agree mostly with the rest. It should have went way harder on the school sim aspect.

Way better than expected, but it's no Elden Ring.
idk i still haven't played it despite being installed ever since
maybe you guys can convince me
/qa/ lost

Good game with alot of things to do, but needed more depth and didn't really capture the idea of being a student.
Bad game.
Very mid. It's a "theme-park" game, just go here and have fun collecting shit.
6.5/10 it's ok but it feels rather generic, the game peaks in the intro, and while the castle is amazingly designed the rest of the map makes ubislop maps look good in comparison
How is previous gen version?
I still hate every streamer who bend to the will of the chud menace and want them all to be punished.
Just another generic open world with a harry potter skin. Doesn't do anything near interesting enough with its setting. People want to be immersed in the school as a student and until they understand and get that right harry potter games will always be disappointments.
Anyone else wants to punish all those who bend to the will of the chud hate mob?
>skips over the student experience
there's no point playing this game aside from exploring the map and raytracing
I uninstalled when I met the Ugandan moron
pretty fun, I really liked it
I thought the game was great.

For me its the string instruments song playing in the dark arts tower
I could hear it when I read your post. Amazing. I need to go finish the last few hours of story...
I miss the older games' OSTs.
8.9/10
Good but not great, with a little more polish to way flying and puzzles interacted (aka "Oi VEY yOU cAn'T lAnD hERe1!") it would have been a solid 9/10.

It was meh. Was fun at the start but it's ubishit open wurld bs
It caused a chud holocaust.

Pretty fun, especially for a AAA game

Best genocide simulator
6/10
It's kinda fun but the novelty wears off quickly.
the game was an amazing filter
I blocked every gaming channel on youtube who didn't cover it yet I get recommended videos from
