>dude jobmons lmao >woah the fire spider turns into a lawyer woahhh >woah the water goat turns into a construction worker woahhhh >woah the grass lizard turns into an anthropologist woahhhh >DUDE THEMES LMAO
I think pokemongays statistically have the highest rate of stockholm syndrome. Does any other franchise even come close?
I enjoy themes and the new starters. I have a burning hatred of Pokemon overall as the series died and has not recovered after moving to the 3DS. Creature and character design is the one thing that Game Freak manages to be pretty consistent at after all these years. Too bad James Turner wasn't the art director for SV though, it isn't a very good looking game despite having likable enough characters.
Turner only did the professors, and they look alright if a bit on the nose. Turo looks much better than Sada however. He did not design any pokemon in SV though. He also has not designed many humanoid pokemon and his contributions have more hits than misses.
>He did not design any pokemon in SV though.
He's listed under both Pokémon and trainer design in the credits. Guessing he was given the honor is designing Gholdengo right before leaving.
>the only starter whos plushies arent selling out is the ducks >The cat has furries and normalpeople buying its plushes >Croc is the only pokemon whos got an actual cool factor to it.
Skeledurge is the only one that isnt fricking furry bait and actually looks like an animal.
Not to mention its the only one of those 3 that's actuallt interesting in battle, unlike 1 move wonder wasting Greninja's gimmick, and water Blaziken.
>See Inteleon >Like him because I'm a Bond fan and I appreciate the obvious and cheeky reference to classic spy films >Inteleon sucks fricking ass
Can't win em all
Pokemon referencing specific characters or famous people isn't even fricking new. Hitmonlee (Sawamular) and Hitmonchan (Ebiwular) are made and named after Japanese martial artists you stupid son of a b***h.
>omits Blaziken because he's particularly humanoid despite him being one of the best starters >tries to use Decidueye & Incineroar as bad designs
Primarina, the Gen 8 lineup, and the cat/duck from Gen 9 would've been better to prove your point. Archer Owl, Tiger Mask, and Spooky Croc are good.
I just like good old fashioned pro wrestling. Also I'd hardly call Decidueye humanoid, it's a bipedal owl with makeshift fingers at the end of its wings; worst you can say about it is that it kind of looks like Noctowl with a bunch of extra details.
not a hippo but it's just vaguely froglike
the mammal ears, the pointy teeth, the clawed feet, it's like a bear a frog and a dinosaur all mixed together
that's what I like about old pokemon
look at any modern one, they're just a generic recolored animal, nothing more
All three of those new starters look like humanoid creatures I'd chill with on the couch, not monstrous animals that will fight for me.
>not monstrous animals that will fight for me
that's...what pokemon focuses on....
yeah... that's... what... he... meant... moron...
pokemon were planned to fight
Skeledirge, the fire croc, never stands like this in-game.
Okay that's good at least. It was the most off-putting thing about the image for me
>dude jobmons lmao

JT mons and humans are bad look at SWSH and the professors of SV

Oh so he did do some pokemon
>Gholdengo
Fricking yikes I hate that thing
He's listed as a Pokemon designer because Pokemon he designed in previous generations are in the game.
The Sonic fandom
>the only starter whos plushies arent selling out is the ducks
>The cat has furries and normalpeople buying its plushes
>Croc is the only pokemon whos got an actual cool factor to it.
>Croc is being bought by baragays and closet alphabet people
ftfy
>balding clown
>cool factor
KEK
>bald
What did you expect? Crocs don't have hair
>clown
He's a singing man
>What did you expect? Crocs don't have hair
This one does
What the frick were they thinking with Quaxly's evo line?
they were thinking of Blaziken, and they succeeded
Not much
Skeledurge is the only one that isnt fricking furry bait and actually looks like an animal.

>click torch song
>click slack off
>repeat
>"THIS IS INTERESTING TRUST ME BROS"
They look more like Digimon than Pokemon. There's a lot closer resemblance between Renomon and the frickable grass one than it an Venosaur.
The character designs for S&V are the worst in the series on account that everyone of them are boring and forgettable
>See Inteleon
>Like him because I'm a Bond fan and I appreciate the obvious and cheeky reference to classic spy films
>Inteleon sucks fricking ass
Can't win em all
>I like James Bond, therefore I want my monsters in my monsters collecting games to be James Bond themed
Do you also wish there were James Bond monsters in the next Monster Hunter?
That wasn't even close to being implied but okay.
Yes it was
>Like him because I'm a Bond fan and I appreciate the obvious and cheeky reference
Frick off homosexual
I like Stalone's movie, yet I don't want my dog to be Stalone themed
Pokemon referencing specific characters or famous people isn't even fricking new. Hitmonlee (Sawamular) and Hitmonchan (Ebiwular) are made and named after Japanese martial artists you stupid son of a b***h.
the thumbnail looks milk moustache
I want to turn a male cinderace into my obedient onahole maid.
>omits Blaziken because he's particularly humanoid despite him being one of the best starters

Primarina, the Gen 8 lineup, and the cat/duck from Gen 9 would've been better to prove your point. Archer Owl, Tiger Mask, and Spooky Croc are good.
>Humanoid archer bird and humanoid tiger wrestler are good
Ok furgay
I just like good old fashioned pro wrestling. Also I'd hardly call Decidueye humanoid, it's a bipedal owl with makeshift fingers at the end of its wings; worst you can say about it is that it kind of looks like Noctowl with a bunch of extra details.
>worst you can say about it is that it kind of looks like Noctowl
Dude...
I think it supposed to be an owl.
Dunno what it's supposed to be, but the final result is a dude in a bird costume
>uses its silly hoody strings to like a bow
absolutely goofy
wtf is up with incenroar's right thigh and why does primarina look so angry, like really full of hatred
All pokemon look like shit.
Lmao, seeing the croc like this made me realize his belly patterns are supposed to be black suspenders on a white shirt and red pants
Here's your fire starter bro
Congratulation! Your Fuecoco has evolved!
Nothing. Charizard is a garbage design and Fire starters have only improved for the better.
When did Pokemon designs start to go down the shitter? I'm tempted to say it started to get sketchy around gen 4
Gen 4 or 5, easily.
Gen 4 is when the design philosophy shifted the most and pokemon started being designed specifically to be easy to mass produce as toys
I want to frick that homosexual blue bird
Now that I look at this, I think it's good that skeledirge isn't standing up in-game
96 was made for boys on the gameboy and were pocket MONSTERS.
>tortoise with cannons
>hippo with flower
>dragon with burning tail
vs
>gay duck
>jester cat
>clown alligator
almost the same
tho, the artwork is an unfair comparison, the old pokemon look kind of shit in the 3d games
with flower
it's a frog
>hippo
moron please
Nta, but bulbasaurs ears always threw me off of seeing a frog.
not a hippo but it's just vaguely froglike
the mammal ears, the pointy teeth, the clawed feet, it's like a bear a frog and a dinosaur all mixed together
that's what I like about old pokemon
look at any modern one, they're just a generic recolored animal, nothing more
pokemon are now designed to be sold as dolls for twinks to put next to their desktop computer. you cannot give me a better explanation than this.
These two have the same exact body type. Fricking lazy
easier to animate and make plush toys for mindless consoomers if just a human body with animal accessories
I hate newer pokemons because are humanoids. If people want furry should check sonic or digimon
>Had to deliberately stand the croc up cause you knew you were full of shit otherwise
Keke what a b***h
