I got this because I really liked Nioh 2 but this one feels more like FFVIIR and not a Team Ninja game. Too many damn cutscenes and I have no interest in playing as the main character, he looks like the everyday normie i try to avoid

Really? Apart from the beginning and ending of the game, I don't think the cutscene ratio exceeds 3 per mission. One for the opening, one for the boss, and one after the boss.
People complain there's not enough story to speak of until the endgame.

you can change the skin in "edit party". it's limited to who you have in your party currently but you can change your skin to be neon or sophia instead if you want to play as a girl.
I was filtered because of Jack. I've grown so accustomed to playing as female characters that playing as a man feels gay as hell

boss battles are the only fun thing about the game
the levels are very boring, tomberrys, and ogres off hand are fun but 90% of it is rather boring slog or frustrating because koei thought it was a good idea to add more bad guys because of your partners (even if they really don't help much)
its very disappointing cause the missions in nioh where fricking amazing and almost better then most boss fights
when will you nioh gays understand that dark souls is the superior game
