A big Saudi investment fund. It's just a financial organization. And it's a good thing for WWE. Why do people think that it's dangerous when the company is bought by the organization controlled by some foreign ethnic group that shares the religious beliefs?
Even so he had almost total control for decades and forced the company to stick to his vision. Imagine if one of 40k's creators had done that.
>Would Euros be obsessed with them if it wasn't for the US?
In the countries that colonized Africa probably.
Nobody in America told the French "hey you need to mass import Algerians until you're a minority under the age of 30 in your own country." That is entirely on them.
America definitely exports civil rights ideology to all of nato, their leaders are educated in our universities, all NGOs/institutions are made up of these people, and euros consume american media. I don't think you can discount US influence on them.
And, those alleged US ideologies are promoted by israel, china, and russia in american educational institutions and include funding BLM, antifa, etcetera. Nice attempt at perpetuating a boogeyman, THOUGH.

America has its own rulers behind the shadows, wealthy family clans who control your corporations and your congress.
The fact that they successfully turned your ire outwards against other countries on the other side of the planet is what should worry you.
This is their way of controlling you, by using their 2-3 boogeymen on the other side of the planet, so you never point your ire at them.
Nobody in America told the French "hey you need to mass import Algerians until you're a minority under the age of 30 in your own country." That is entirely on them.

Alright, lemme break this down one more time, in rough, it is a very expansive topic.
The working class "failed" Marx - they didn't do the global revolution thing.
So the Marxists said "frick them", and cross-pollinated postmodernist ideas about "deconstructing" everything, because if you can attack the foundations of society, people flake off and can be snatched up by artificially cultivated fringe groups, and society can be reordered once destabilized by these manipulated groups.
"The working class" aren't the proletariat of choice any more.
It's the Intersectional stack, who they believe will achieve "global communism", which is the only "true" "communism".
That is the ideological source of all these shell-ideologies.
Radical environmentalism, transgender ideology, victim-centric morality, left-wing identity garbage of all sorts?
It's just a toolkit for the dissection of our society.
These Marxoids - they have evolved beyond being Marxists, though they retain the vague shape, have embedded themselves in our academia, media, and legislative and political bodies.
They are the fruit of allowing postmodernist culture-vandals run our schools and operate our media channels for decades.
And it seems fully three quarters of the frickers are israeli, which is apparently antisemitic to point out.
Whereas the likes of Susan "The white race is the cancer of human history" Sontag and that odious bile-filled slug Robin DIangelo get accolades; even the Pakis are in on it, like that butthurt curry-Black person Bhopal Khalawant.
Every people on earth besides Westerners, consider "anti-racism" as we practice it, to be a form of tragic mental disease, and a precipitator of civilization collapse, and they are fully on board to take advantage of that.
We swapped a fat black lesbian who had weed on a plane for a millionaire russian arms dealer the other week.
We are ogre.
Thanks boomers and troons, good night.
And see you space cowboy.
I was expanding on why essentially, yes, the Marxists, and their subject-classes are to blame for our cultural decline, and therefore, by and large, to blame for everything.
In broad strokes, I believe I hit most of the points.
As the last century has shown us, there is no difference between state ownership of corporate power, and corporate ownership of state power. So actually, yes.
>there is no difference between state ownership of corporate power, and corporate ownership of state power.
In the latter you usually have to pay 5000 dollars for a taxi ride with 3 doctors to the hospotal. They call them ambulances or some shit like that, apparently people in those countries can't afford that shit without monthly subscription to an insurance corporation.
There are. All the woke commercials that the media calls you a bigot for not liking. ESG scores where Exxon, the oil company, has a higher environmental responsibility score than the electric car company, Tesla. ESG scores really just show how much you subscribe to DIE (Diversity, Inclusion, Equity), which is the Maoist Struggle Session method of the day.

It's literally not fair to compare these two companies anymore. Wizards has gotten so hilariously greedy that they make GAMES FRICKING WORKSHOP look generous with their pricing.
Unironically late-stage capitalism. That which was expected to be solved by the "Perennial Gale of Creative Destruction" keeps being propped up by stock shenanigans while increasingly naked rent-seeking and slash-and-burn finance work to extract value too rapidly for any stable corporate structure.
and yet it's always trivial entertainment balogna people would be better off without. the real problem is laziness. almost all of my dreams are within reach and I just keep putting things off. but I digress, it's close but it's not quite there. capitalism relies on a free market and unfortunately the market isn't quite free enough. what we need is massive decoupling of government and corporate interests. which ultimately was the same issue the soviets had, just with fewer steps.
ultimately though none of this maters, nothing is stopping gamers from simply sculpting their own guys from cheap materials and either creating their own or reclaiming abandoned rulesets and gaming free of gw. the hard truth is that most gamers need gw and wizards et al. probably out of some inherent need for legitimacy. they need a "real game" its not quite the same when you are the man behind the curtain.

Capitalism.
It provides the situation in which nerds can build a company selling luxury hobby goods based on passion, then destroys its soul once it has proven itself financially sustainable.
What happens to every corporation when it gets big enough and think they're on top of the heap - they become complacent, they start cutting costs at the expense of quality, they stop creating and expanding and start imitating, they confuse social media followers with actual people, they focus on shareholders who know little about what they're selling, they confuse fads with long-term projections and don't realize that eventually even the most die-hard consoomers will lose interest and move on to something else.
Well, they did shut down all the big-name fan content. But the deal was more or less "you either work for us on our (pretty shitty) terms, or we are shutting you down", compared to WotC's "you will pay us money for using the content you've created or we are shutting you down".
Can’t speak for GW, but WOTC bought D&D. It’s not like it was their child that they cared about deeply. They bought an IP from a failing company with the intention of making a profit. And TCGs are borderline gambling marketed towards teenagers, so magic was always about making money.
"Make consumers into fanatics" works way better than it should.
People will just gobble up whatever the big companies are making no matter how shitty they are and how badly they treat their consumers.
>Isolate and alienate communities >Remove traditional culture structures >Remove incentive for people in locality to know each other or interact in shared space >Replace with myriad consumer products
Brand loyalty, consoomer products, and also loyalty to your employer are all that really remain or goofy football style politic over non issues. It's why I've been on this god forsaken website for 15 years because its got a comfy shared culture.
Oh right. That was pretty bad. I kind of almost makes WotC seem somewhat competent in comparison.
I suspect the GW thing was layer issue, too much power in the legal department made them go rogue.
Either that, or the people in charge made the legal department their scapegoat.
>I kind of almost makes WotC seem somewhat competent in comparison.
Hoooooo boy, you are in fact behing in the drama. Because recently WotC tried to do the exact same thing, but they demanded fans pay them for it.
Nope. It's capitalism.
there are horror stories on youtube from former GW store managers, and what they describe to me sounds like almost pyramid scheme-like.
Top management has a shit ton of starter box sets.
And you get fired if you don't buy a ton of starter box sets and offload them onto some customer.
They became a publicly traded company and became slaves to the stock market, where as profits became the most important part of their business model before anything else. That's really all there is to it.
Bad management. GW has the right idea but should be less protective of their IP. The first question you should ask yourself is "how can I get my customers to give me more of their money" or "how can I get more customers" You want a multi-pronged approach. There are still people playing 3.5 and 2nd edition. Release books for those at boutique prices. Pathfinder selling better than your current products? Update adventures to be compatible with Pathfinder. Sell Pathfinder Dungeons and Dragons merchanidise. People love fifth edition? Release the same gamebook for multiple lines with minimal changes. Update the old adventures for new game lines. PDFS and print on demand. For really big projects use kickstarter to scam people into paying you to print things you already intended to. Release campaign guides for every possible Magic the Gathering set.
Their executives have no concept of managing a brand beyond making numbers go up. A steady, reliable moneymaker doesn't make numbers go up, so they need to turn up the exploitation. They expend long-term health for short-term profits. Shockingly, explosive growth and profits isn't sustainable and eventually the numbers start going down. The executives get scared and push the exploitation harder because it's the only thing they know how to do.
We can only hope it results in a proper death spiral.

Marxism is about sending middle class people to death camps, not making all your trading cards show black people, that's a liberal thing.
These companies need a Vince McMahon type CEO who acts as a tyrannical guardian, who maintains the standards and vision.
I think the black worship is really an American thing. Would Euros be obsessed with them if it wasn't for the US?
Isn't Vance McMahon selling the WWE to the Saudis?
A big Saudi investment fund. It's just a financial organization. And it's a good thing for WWE. Why do people think that it's dangerous when the company is bought by the organization controlled by some foreign ethnic group that shares the religious beliefs?

The bugmen that gave them their monopolies can't handle the horrible future they've created.

Yeah, that's pretty bad too but you kind of have to compare them carefully.
GW forbid fans from competing against them.
WotC doesn't forbid its fans, they just want a taxation and other benefits.
If you think about it, They are both kind of dumb, just in different ways. But the WotC thing has a larger scheming aspect behind it.
