EA made Ben Wanat, a moron obsessed with Ellie Langford, and Steve Papoutsis, the marketing exec without a creative bone in his body, the two guys in charge.
>Traded in survival horror with action suspense >Turned Ellie from a badass survivor into a helpless damsel in distress and the driving vehicle for a stupid love triangle >Custom weapons that allowed for blatantly OP combos that took all suspense and danger out of the game >Co-op mode that trivialized the game, even on the hardest difficulty and nullified the last bit of horror the series had >Boring, uninspired new skins for the necromorphs and reused assets that felt rushed instead of fresh >Microtransactions >EA getting too involved with development and decision making such as getting rid of Isaac's new, darker psyche Evil Isaac as it was seen as too offensive to mentally ill people
>Traded in survival horror with action suspense
To be fair, even in 1 Dead Space always leaned more into action horror than survival horror with massive flesh bosses and tons of explosions, 3 just went overboard with the action.
Ellie from a badass survivor into a helpless damsel in distress
Are you moronic? Ellie's character in Dead Space 2 was literally the damsel in distress. Multiple people died protecting her in the game. Isaac was going to die to protect her too and only her guilt over how many people have died for her brought her back to save him. She was not a "badass survival". She'd be dead if not for the multiple people who died for her.
I first realized that Dead Space 3 was irredeemable garbage when I got to the first section with the return of Stalkers and they all just charged at you down a straight hallway without using hit-and-run tactics or retreating to cover like in 2.
It sucked fricking dick would have to be the most glaring issue I think anon
Biggest issue for me was the necromorphs not looking like necromorphs anymore.
Like, they were al suited up and the ones without suits didn't look as grotesque as DS2 necros, even the Ubermorph was tame in comparison.
Like who the frick would be scared at picrel? its just a dude in winter clothes with glowy eyes.
Fricking shit. 2011-2014 were the worst years for horror games.

How the hell does the save system work? Where are the checkpoints?
Me and a friend have lost up to an hour of progress that we had to replay after we saved and quit.
Terrible story pacing
Terrible pacing in general, it's removed any tension that 1 would build up by making you fight huge waves every single room instead of tension-building downtime
The enemies didn't react right when shot. They also looked graphically inferior to the enemies in 1 and 2 for some reason. Despite the OP weapons they all lacked punch or something. It just FELT worse.
Frick, what went right with it? Pretty much everything about it is terrible.

one of the worst game sequels ever.
microtransactions
Jews
Can't believe Space Elton John is Kain/Loghain. I mean I hear it now but somehow I didn't notice until it was pointed out to me.
dead space collection or fatal frame. already played DS1 and 2 years ago

Yeah but I'd frick the shit out of Ellie in 3 tbf
Big tittied mutt
The story was stupid as hell, the gameplay was a little too fast, and the game went on too long, otherwise it was fine.
>suit just a cosmetic
FRICK YOU EA
Nothing. It’s still a good game
Building guns were very fun to mess around with. Sadly the very powerful combinations only helped to destroy what little danger you felt in this game.

I love these velociraptor fricks
Someone played on normal, didn’t they?
