I don’t think so. It only uses a couple buttons and you don’t have to play amazingly to advance to the next stage. It’s the kind of game that I can see a lot of girls enjoying

Forgot that the game even allows you to skip certain stages too if you’re struggling

Other ideas: Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 (best games on the system), Animal Crossing City Folk (girls seem to really like sim games like this), Kirby Return to Dreamland & Kirby’s Epic Yarn (haven’t played either yet myself but I hear they’re solid and Kirby is really accessible for children), and lastly you might want to look into the Cooking Mama games (never played them but they’re probably as girly as it gets)

I modded the Wii ages ago
Forgot how to get games and put them on there
I remember having to format a USB stick in a special file system using some software.

                > remember having to format a USB stick in a special file system using some software.
not necessary anymore. Just format the drive as Fat32 (NTFS works to i believe) and put games under /games/Game Title [GAMEID]/GAMEID.wbfs
gameid for the specific game can be found on gametdb. Make sure your games are in .wbfs format (not .iso or .nkit.iso). You can get them from vimm

Not anymore? Does that mean I have to somehow update mod on the Wii?

iirc you just have to update your loader (usb loader gx, wiiflow, etc.) just download the newest version and put it on your sd

Thanks, I'll try the /vg/ homebrew thread to figure out all the things I gotta do
I'm guessing my PC probably can't just read the Wii formatted SD card

If you don't have it, get Wii Fit Plus. It's literally Wii Fit but better in every way. I think Wii Fit U is the best of them honestly because it has the fun little "dance classes" and had luge and the trampoline games, but if you're going to stick with original Wii, make sure you have Wii Fit Plus. You legitimately won't need Wii Fit original anymore, it reads from your original Wii Fit save data, and transfers everything over automatically including your Mii data.

I think the Wii fit I got her is the plus version

                >I'm guessing my PC probably can't just read the Wii formatted SD card
the sd you put in the front of the wii isn't specially formatted so it should be readable. Just the stick/hdd were you put your games on can't be read from (with the old formatting)
                gl with your wii, anon

Nice. If you're into fitness yourself though and want to have something to make you sweat but plays like an RPG, Ring Fit Adventure for the Switch would be worth it I think for you. And maybe your niece will see you playing sometimes and want to join in. It's much more fast paced and intense than Wii Fit though since Wii Fit is more honor system and work-at-your-own-pace kind of thing.

I tried playing WarioWare Smooth Moves with my 11 year old nephew and he kept saying "lol why is this so weird haha what's going on?" but he seemed to be having fun with it.

Sure anon. I think "your niece" would like Sin and Punishment Star Successor. It's a lot of fun and is a Treasure light gun game. Also, tell "your niece" to try the Trauma Center games. Both are great games. Although if "your niece" doesn't like reading much, New Blood has voice acting. Finally, I'd throw in both Mario Galaxy games, Elebits, and No More Heroes. Also Wii Sports Resort is a lot of fun that "your niece" can play with the whole family and even by yourself sometimes.
