    RE4 until zelda releases
then zelda wins the year because it's gonna be fresher on people's memories

Not Starfield, I'm willing to bet it'll release 11/11/23 which is too late for any accolades

The game I'm looking forward to the most is Armored Core VI. But that game's appeal is so niche I doubt it'll be received well enough to win awards.
The remakes really annoy me at this point
I'm looking forward to Pragmata though because I have no idea what it is.
Alan Wake I have hope for too. These two might be the most interesting big game releases of the year.
Jedi Survivor, Spider-Man2, and BOTW2 don't seem like they'll be anything too interesting, but they should at the very least be sequels that deliver more of what the previous games were.
Final Fantasy lost all hope from me with the mess that was XV and the underwhelming VII Remake.

All I'm hoping for is a non-retarded button layout that doesn't require me to hold my controller backwards again.

Lmao. You just triggered some core memory of my childhood and me playing AC.

Armored Core has never required that. It's just a meme.

Hollow Knight is good if you like
              >Tough boss fights
              >Souls-like death mechanics
              >Souls-like atmosphere and world building (nothing is explained, you must piece together through art/world design/menu descriptions)
              >Platforming
              >Metroidvania
              >Bugs
              >A shit ton of extra free DLC that adds to the lore and content of the game
If you any of those sound appealing it's great. Was my favorite game the year it was released and helped me through my appendectomy recovery

I'm not interested in any of these games.

No idea what 4 and 6 are, they look incredibly generic.
The answer is likely once again heavily modded Mount and Blade Bannerlord for the second year in a row.

4 is Alan Wake and 6 is Pragmata

how is this going to be any better than the original? At least the RE remakes update the gameplay in a meaningful way. the dead space remake looks like a carbon copy

The correct answer for mainstream audiences is gonna be either Starfield or Tears of the Kingdom. Nothing else really even comes close.

The objectively correct answer will be Hollow Knight Silksong when it shadow drops during Nintendo's E3 direct.

Your pic is missing some important ones.

    Diablo 4
    Hogwarts Legacy
    Starfield
    Dead Island 2
Hollow Knight: Silksong(assuming it comes out 2023)
    Silent Hill 2 remake

Probably Starfield. Zelda will no doubt be great, but direct sequels don’t have the same cultural impact that original releases do (spider man’s got the same issue)

Tell that to Halo 2, Mass Effect 2, Modern Warfare 2, etc.

Not saying any of them are better than the originals, but the sequels were far more popular and influential.

If Tears of the Kingdom is better than BotW then that, if not:
If Starfield is the most moddable Bethesda game then that, if not:
If Pragmata turns out to be kino then that, if not:
If Square Enix manage not to fuck up then FFXVI
