Code of Princess. The art/music are fantastic but its combat is absolutely horrible, quite possibly the worst I've ever felt outside of shoestring budget shovelware. The combat design, controls, enemies, bosses, every single little thing down to the way moves clash is so bad that it should be taught as the exact opposite of good combat.

Ada's campaign reuses levels from the others (and all of the levels suck so it's all negative memories), focuses on the dumbest part of the story, and doesn't even have a character for Ada to have a connection with on the co-op since it's dollar store HUNK.

Cyberpunk, moreso for the achievements though. I like Ubishit style open world stuff where you got to a place on the map and do some activity. But this game takes it to the extreme, I was expecting a simple 10-15 hour run at the worst for it, but they added so many boring quests that it was more than double that. It's still funny to see all these morons calling it a masterpiece when you can tell they haven't even really played the game, because if they did, they would see how horrible the open world design is. Honestly was the last time I ever chased achievements for a game, what a total borefest.

It's a trap. I was listening to some kino film director on a podcast, and he had a 10% rule - if nothing is working once you reach the 10% mark, shut it off. The problem arises when what you are playing, reading etc actually is decent for a good chunk, or at least very promising but gets terrible towards the end, so you feel compelled to keep going just in case. I had this recently with a book - Rendevouz With Rama. Fantastic, interesting...but it just ends. Stops. No conclusion. So I bought the sequel, and immediately it was clear it was dog shit. But I slogged through because of the promise of quality or resolution. I think these experiences are the worst. When a game is front to back trash, it's very easy to just turn it off after the initial realisation early on. Being fooled in to wasting time is much more unpleasant.

is the implication of this post that a clockwork orange is bad?
because honestly, I agree. I spent like the first half of the movie thinking it was a protracted metaphor for the criminalization of youth culture, and the way that the dominant culture captures and destroys novel subcultures
then I realized that the movie is literally just about exactly what it's about, that being operant conditioning bad. Which, I mean, I would agree with that, but it's such a weak premise for a story.

Where and how did Doomguy get a magical floating space castle? Why is the final boss of the DLC baby's first demiurge, in a series clearly inspired by christian lore, not Gnosticism like Xenoblade? If you gotta shove story in a series that spent less time on it story than the "stories" of porn, at least have the decency to write it well. This is fanfiction trash.

The movie game console is the absolute worst and doesn't follow the movie along with having bad controls.
Jetfusion is the mod middling of the 3, it's serviceable but also doesn't follow source material and is really jank.
Twonkies has the locals, the voices and the story beats from the show while also being functioning.

Now the movie game for PC is also jank but is more open, let's yoU use the bubble gum ball and jetpack, a grappling hook and other inventions like a Godard scooter to get around a pretty faithful recreation of Retroville.

meh series of games, but if you really like the series, Twonkies and the PC movie game are you best bets. Also I meant Ape Escape, and the 'monkey ball' thing was my brain farting at an actual shit feature in Jet Fusion.

      >on-rails and waggle
It can be objectively fine, but you have to admit it's an acquired taste coming from 06-adventure 3D sonic formulas. It's a new control scheme with new peripheral that required more movement than what was really needed. Missing a ring for mission is a fricking pain, having to back Sonic up rather than turning the camera around to go back is already a big ask in change of conventions.

I never force myself through games I think are actively terrible because I'm not moronic but DD:DA has to be my biggest disappointment. It seems like it would've been my dream game by the way the Ganker fanbase described it for years but it's the type of game that sounds far more interesting on paper than it does in practice. Never got to BB island which is what everyone praises but the combat never clicked no matter what vocation I chose (swapped between assassin, magic archer, magic knight, and warrior and none of them felt good) and the enemy, quest, and world design was abysmally boring once you got past the initial flashiness.

I have a great deal of trouble finishing even so so games. I am pretty quick to drop terrible ones. I guess ME3 could count as a bad game I finished. It's not unfun in the act but definitely has some downgraded elements compared to ME 2, which suffered in parts when compared to ME1.

Alice: Madness Returns AND the shitty, buggy console port of the original Alice game. Admittedly, Madness Returns isn't terrible as much as it's merely a 5 or 6 out of 10 game, but I still forced myself to get the platinum trophy for it, despite how tedious and dull playing it was. I wanted to love it, but the magic wears off before you've finished the second world, and those worlds are dragged out for far too long. A shame it couldn't have been what it was envisioned as. And the original Alice plays terribly on consoles, on top of having controller desync bugs and more.

Halo 4. Its an amazing mix of bad gameplay, multiplayer, and campaign all rolled into one. The forge was good I think but wasn't a launch if memory serves.
I fricking hated how ammo starved the entire weapon sandbox is, the main campaign forcing you to use the light rifle for every single engagement past level 3 because its the only God damn precision weapon that has ammo you can reliably find.

Hunter x Hunter, utterly miserable navel-gazing slop with enough braindead exposition to tranquilize a fricking elephant. If a game is truly terrible then I'd drop it but I definitely finished some games I didn't enjoy:
    >Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time
I just hate this game, simple as. Completely lacks the feeling of adventure and uniqueness that superstar saga has and aliens are an extremely boring enemy.
    >Monster Hunter World
I played like 400 hours and just sperged out the entire time. I love the old games and there was something uniquely frustrating about MHW not completely betraying the series. It's just enough like classic MH where it actually pisses me off more than if they had gone full moron.
    >Buzz Lightyear Star Command
This one is obviously silly but as a kid I got it for my birthday and I was fricking hyped for it cause I loved the Toy Story movies and loved the Toy Story 2 game and anyways this shit sucked and I coped about it and forced myself to finish it even though I hated it.
    >Super Smash Bros Brawl
I thoroughly cleared the content in this game even though I hated the way it felt and was assmad that I spent my money on it. I loved Melee and Brawl just felt like shit in comparison but it surely was something to do regardless so I finished subspace emissary and grinded unlockables.
    >Kingdom Hearts 2
This one might surprise people because admittedly it's a pretty good game but at the time it's not what I wanted and I obsessively followed it's development for years. I was a massive KH1 fan, and 2 just felt neutered. I've grown older and can see the combat in 2 is just an insane upgrade but I still prefer 1 overall. It was probably around Mulan or Beauty and the Beast when I realized this really wasn't what I wanted but I cleared all content regardless.

Baldurs gate 3. I playtested it since the closed beta and it never improved, I had problems with it a long time before it was clear the game was gay as frick. Thought it was mediocre at best and got entirely confounded at public reception, forced myself through entire game once and with several trial runs with different builds to try and see whst everyone else saw.

For the life of me I really tried to put on rose tinted glasses for that game but its genuinely unenjoyable. Not a single party member likeable besides the frog some of the time, not a single good character, terrible combat and combat pacing with a million slow enemy combat animations thay you can neither skip or accelerate,
poorly devised rpg mechanics based on the most worst and most basic edition of dnd thats suited explicitly for dm fiat and being easy to mentally compute and not being run by a computer, the most soulless template stacking plot, world design and character design that could ever grace a popular fantasy setting, I could go on.

It only convinced me that peoplen who claim they liked the game didnt beat it, or at the very least didn't understand what they were playing. Critical roll fans on the zeitgeist with sunk cost delusions preventing them from admitting the game constantly feels like it's about to get good but never gets there.

To this very day I experience a gag reflex whenever I see anything final fantasy related. What an absolutely loathesome game. Hours and hours of playing an assembly line esque slog of a turn based game for maybe two or three ten second scenes that were entertaining or interesting.
