Capcom and Sega still exist. I still like Nintendo games but this year their games have been mediocre and while TTYD will be great because its TTYD, it being in 30fps absolutely destroyed the hype. DDII’s situation is similar to TTYD where shitty performance and microtransactions killed the hype but TTYD will probably be the better game. Sega is keeping both humble as Persona 3 Reload, Unicord Overlord, and LAD8 are all good games and Metaphor is coming soon. I personally just wish all 3 of them would just make new original games again.

Hi-Fi Rush was made at a "Japanese" studio being led by a white American man. JapanStudio however should have never been closed by Sony. Even if they never made any money again, they should have been a "loss leader" studio that stood for something. It was Sony's first ever studio, and it made some of their most creative games, plus they helped make Demon's Souls and Bloodborne. Even if the money they brought in was little to none, they helped the overall brand quality and made money that way

That's why it's a masterpiece. Best of both worlds. 3 million players, and growing, and it still wasn't enough to satisfy Microsoft even though they released it without marketing it first. They wasted billions of dollars buying out studios just to close them all down

That's still not the studio's fault. Why do you people want Xbox to acquire companies like SEGA and Blizzard when they're going to axe their entire library of games? Frick you, do you want a chicken nugger?

            Anonymous

I never said they should acquire SEGA or Blizzard. I'm just saying Tango Gameworks didn't perform that well. Evil Within was a sleeper hit. The sequel did meh. Ghostwire Tokyo did meh. HiFi Rush is pretty niche even if it did get some downloads on gamepass. It isn't hard to see why they got closed.

This is like closing a business that guarantees alot of revenue on Hi Fi's part. Gravity Rush wasn't much of a seller and Japan Studio was already on its last legs since they keep releasing flops after the bygone Ape Escape days. Even the Fromsoft properties lost revenue under them for selling like shit.

  20. 3 weeks ago
    Anonymous

It's not as complex as you guys think. The SJWs and morons who think anime is icky have finally moved up to more important roles in these companies where they can finally purge what they don't like. As soon as a game they don't like doesn't make sales targets, they just run to higher management and say those aren't the types of games people want and they should never be made again, shut the studio down.

The "anime are icky" people intentionally de-Japanesed a lot of these games that should have felt Japanese, the end result isolated Western gamers who don't like Japanese shit and it isolated gamers who like Japanese games, by trying to be both it became nothing good for either. Kind of like what happened when Square and Enix merged and instead of making games that were popular in the West (Square) and popular in the East (Enix), they made games that are less popular everywhere. Look at HiFi Rush art being some sort of mix between Anime and Western woke shit.

MS only wanted Fallout and Elder Scrolls, they didn't care about the rest of the stuff that came with the deal. So they're just gonna dump them.

You're making it way more compmex than it actually is. Tango Gameworks games just weren't that well received and didn't sell that well.
