that's like very game ever made dude
the core gameplay is really, really fun. there's a lot of interesting guns, the movement is fluid and it's fun to traverse levels with bullet jumps and parkour, the warframe powers feel satisfying to use, and the modding system has the backbone of being a super interesting customizable upgrade system.
problem is there's like 10 levels that just repeat over and over and most of the tilesets aren't actually made for the game's core movement in mind since they revamped the movement system without revamping any of the earlier made levels. and the mod system isn't actually customizable at all because there are objectively good mods worth using and objectively shit ones, and the good ones are like 5% of the entire mod pool. then the game devs just keep throwing stupid new shit mechanics and minigames into the game half-finished, then leave them to rot while they go work on another bullshit minigame to add instead of focusing on and refining the core gameplay.
Couldn't have said it better myself. There's a genuinely great game in there, but it's buried under so much shit because DE is full of incompetent morons that'd rather add than improve.
sex appeal
Power fantasy and very unique scifi setting.
Ill spare you the usual folder dump of almost a decade run of de incompetence because now that Rebecca is the creative director and steve and scott will no longer work on warframe the game has a slight hope again, something it hasnt had in 6 years.
RMT.
Why do you think someone still "play" TF2 and CS...
Because magic space ninjas are fun.
Because it's free to play, homies like free shit
it's free and has all the addictive treadmill shit that other GAAS games have but as some anon before me said the gameplay is actually pretty good, and as strange as this may sound, the game actually respects your time a lot more than other free to play GAAS games.
That being said it also has the same pitfalls such as it *being* an obvious treadmill past a certain point where you just kind of report in to do your busywork and the log out again.
>t. about 600 hours in Warframe
>t. about 600 hours in Warframe
I have 2 mastery 30 accounts. I fricking hate this game.
The game would be fine again if they'd just fricking kill gloom and shield gating in one update. The top 4 frames have been the same for 4 years. They need to be nerfed into the ground
>top 4
The meta's dumb, play the frames that are fun. Unless you play Inaros, then you're just stupid.
>metagayging
lol who cares
I've been enjoying Mag again since the Phenmor came out.
Frames matter much less compared to your actual primary (or nukor secondary) that it genuinely doesn't matter outside of a very few outliers. The difference between weapons is fricking huge and stupid though.
>what's the appeal
Frame asses.
the frames are sexy, i guess?
i mean, the porn is enough for me so i don't bother with the shitty game, but maybe some people think differently.
I got tired of the grind and the story is lame to me now, I have 2000 hours in this game and I probably haven't played for like a year and a half. I miss when it was just space ninjas instead of weird potato Evangelion, I wish I didn't have to use operators for certain gameplay mechanics. Maybe in a year or two I'll see if it can capture me again, or see if Soulframe can help me pretend it's not gonna be another skinnerbox but in the end it's probably not gonna be as fast as warframe was
>Millions of players
This game has a peak of 60k players average
The trick is making the player feel like he HAS TO GEAR UP for an endgame that doesn't exist.
Open world meme killed this game, but Railjack was the final nail in the coffin for me.
T. 5k hours since Gradivus Dilemma
Warframe is an interesting game until you hit a wall and get bored of grinding relics, tridolons, steel path, and trading which is about 300 to 2k+ hours. Also their patch cycle is odd and Steve just retired and gave the leadership to Rebecca.
I enjoyed it for 200 hrs but the Mastery system is what made me stop playing. I'm not in school anymore, don't make me have to pass tests under pressure just so I can advance. No other game does this like Warframe. Too bad, otherwise I would have played another 200 hers and probably spent money on cosmetics and stuff.
Imagine not being able to finish some really easy challenges in a game where you have like 7 solutions for every problem because DE needs to appease literal morons.
Have you thought about not being mentally challenged on something that you can test infinitely? moron
First it was latex space ninjas going fast
Then it was seeing how badly DE can frick up every update
Now even watching those canuck morons fail has lost its appeal
I haven't played in years but considering trying it again. Is nidus any good still? I remember him being my main
>Is nidus any good still?
He is fine there is even a prim variant.
But really all frames are fine if you bild correctly, just need the correct loadout.
Also mission kinda have a "meta" and if you wanna grind a single reward the meta will ease the pain of doing shit 1000 times.
>But really all frames are fine if you bild correctly
Except Yareli
Polarity system should be completely scrapped and forma should be generic. Build variety my ass.
Melee stances should be be replaced by customizable movesets, just make each melee move a mod. There's a reason every other vidya makes their basic attacks quick strings and saves the multi hit spastic attacks for special moves. Frick the guy who does the melee stances needs to be slapped.
Add hunter munitions for secondary weapons.
Revert the corrosive nerf.
I hate DE so much its unreal. Zamboni was right.
i had my fun with it, stopped playing around the tonkor nerf
had waited like a whole week to craft equinox and when it was done i just didn't care anymore
The core gameplay is genuinely really fun for me. Sure, I realise it's a shallow grindfest, but it's a great game to launch for an hour or so after work/school to just chill out, sprinting and jumping at sanic speed through the levels and slaughtering hordes of enemies with your overpowered space ninja
Also I think the lore is pretty interesting, but that's a secondary thing
