self bumping because I'm a homosexual
...god, i fricking suck
*sucks and jerks ur dick*
RIP Rivers of Blood and good riddance!
requiring the stats to test weapon arts and see if they have workable damage was a frickawful decision.
you need to know the moveset before deciding to change build.
That's why you use CE, anon.
>build
>oh no i can't have thing for freeeee
Elden Ring was shit but at least it didn't completely cater to zoomer gamers who absolutely needs everything to be perfectly optimized
yeah, lot of things had hilariously high split stat reqs too, I remember most of first playthrough being annoyed by "wow this sure needs a lot of int or fth" when finding 'some cool new weapon'; eventually got those stats, tried them out, was like yeah that's kinda neat, but not really practical, then killed all of the bosses (for cheevos pre 1.03) with bloodhound fang, except the bouncy ones where I just used nightrider flail and then just powerstanced a pair of bloodhound fangs in ng+ to do it all again
they weren't like *terrible* or anything, I remember gargoyle blackblade and death poker and godslayer being pretty neat once I could finally equip them (and the long wait to do so because I did lots of early caelid explorin), but when it came to any actually serious bossfight, it was bloodhound fang time, just frickin love that thing, and how early you get it is just silly you get it too, it reminds me a lot of gael's with that jumpback, I know people compare it to curved wolf, but it reminds me of gael's because I used that jumpback evasively much more than the follow up attack same way I used gael's. like all that other stuff is fun for exploring or being stylish but when you gotta seriously 'get shit done' you put away your blasphemous blade or elden beast farming mall ninja sword and whip out a gun (bhfang)
i guess radagon's hammer is pretty frickin dope too, shame it's only available at the absolute end of the game, I used it a lot in ng+ replacing my trusty ol nightrider flail. love that the WA actually has hyperarmor in the chargeup phase, and I guess you need a blunt weapon for some enemies
I prefer his greataxe.
most OP build Ive ever created
>str/dex build, at least 40 points in endurance for huge stam bar and 35 in HP, minimum FP and like 2 points in faith
>bolt of gransnax spear
>tree sentinel shield
>high stam talisman, quick regen stam talisman, shield boost talisman, erdtree's favour
>royal knight loretta full armour
monkey/turtle build with long range sniping capabilities, magic deflecting shield and enough stam to outstam and chip away at players that rush you
currently experimenting with this poison blood loss build that's really fun but the values are hard to balance
Lordsworn straight sword.
Unironically.
Been using it the entire game and have never looked back.
What's the best ash for Lordsworn SS.
sounds boring, why don't you try using something with a bit more of an interesting moveset, don't be afraid to tinker with builds and shit
I have actually. Used Nox and Milenias sword. Trying to stay away from katana bleed cheese. Also, use bows and some rapiers.
Nah, I will stay with my dex build throughout, even though I have explored almost the whole map and 200+ hours on 1 play through.
I do agree the game does get boring sometimes.
>interesting moveset
What the frick? With pokes, rolling attacks which are thrusting moves too, square off for upward slash and impalement, normal slashes alternating between diagonal and horizontal slashes, and wide r2 slashes when two handed the basic sword is the most versatile, satisfying and rich weapon in the game.
The best weapon is the one you have the most fun using 🙂
>have bleed weapon in main hand
>use grafted dragon weapon art
>use bleed skill
>grafted dragon now can toggle bleed buildup
Not too good for pvp but its a meme strat that I use for pve
Not sure if its patched tho havent played in about 2 weeks
the axe from the mind goblin is broken as frick, probably going to be the next thing nerfed
Clayman's Harpoon with Ice Lance. Thank me later.
>Light up.
>Can attack from mid range, allowing you to safely deal with bosses psychotic schizo meltdown attacks.
The game started being fun finally.
did it get buffed or something? I remember that thing being a massive disappointment for the huge int req when I first tried it out; particularly the ranged attack being extremely slow to come out and likely to get counterhit while trying to pull it off and not doing massive damage or anything to validate the long ass windup
It's a bit faster now, and they boosted its damage even more. Just melt bosses with it, and most builds will get decently chunked if you hit them with it.
Also, what do you mean by poor damage? I've been doing around 2k per hit, even without frostbite procs.
Patches so far have:
>Sped up the buff animation
>Fixed the sword beams tracking.
>Increased damage.
It's great. I'm really horny.
Its faster and they fixed/improved its aim and tracking. It even does more damage now. It actually deserves its name now.
It's actually great now.
Is it true that you can’t hit with both the blade and the beam in melee like you can with moonveil?
glorious weapon
unfortunate that sorcery is so boring this time around, very little utility for INT builds compared to FTH
I used that in my offhand to farm the colosseum warriors for the skimpy top and medusa head. It knocked them on their ass every time. Good shit.
>Bolt of Gransax
>One-Eyed Shield
>Marais Executioner's Sword
I have played through the game three times, and those weapons are some of the most fun weapons in the game.
For me, it's the Black Knife.
>Weapon Art isn't a flamethrower like Godrick
You. Had. ONE. Job.
i'm working towards getting the frozen needle
hope to find it this weekend
It's hiding in a place where's there's a lot of handholding.
its sorcery
Since Greataxes got buffed, what's the most fun one? I'm out of build ideas
Tried doing a playthrough with Grafted Dragon and it's just not good at all. The range is ass and you'll be missing half of your attacks on enemies with weird hit boxes and landing the WA is damn near impossible on anything that matters. I switched to pic related shortly after and had WAY more fun.
scarlot rot weapon infused with poison with the trinket that increases AP if something is poisoned.
Finally something that works.
Bloodhound fang, you don't need more
I play a mage so I'm using Rennala's staff
Guts sword
hand ballista
They still haven't nerfed bloody helix so it's that
It is actually the Jar Cannon.
>Golden Order Greatsword doesn't scale INT/FTH like their incantations
>despite being made of light, it weights 10 units
>despite being a literal modified DMGS, it has a wonky spacing L2 instead of a self-buff + ranged R2 like DMGS
>the damage is inferior as well
who was in charge of this thing and how did they frick it up in every conceivable way
almost forgot:
>1.06 patch forgot to buff it alongside the other greatswords
The original sword was probably a Moonlight Greatsword, rather than a Dark Moon Greatsword, and Radagon might have effectively butchered it.
the only thing stopping me from loving it is that you have to go into ng+ to get two. the one handed fist moveset is so... floppy.
You could just duplicate Godrick's Remembrance at a walking mausoleum.
i thought you can't get the same thing twice, though. might be misremembering but man if you're right, i missed out!!
