bait. your first post was sufficient, but you took it too far. the core gameplay loop of pokemon is fine. if it weren't, it wouldn't be popular. it could've been made more complex, but that's not really a necessity.

What's the better Kanto remake?
FRLG is better for a quick playthrough of something because you can emulate it and use the speed up button. I know that technically you can emulate LGPE, but its a more involved process than with FRLG, and the latter makes for a more relaxing distraction, great for challenge runs on the fly as well.
LGPE is better on the whole, though. If you have time to sit down and immerse yourself, it flies higher than FRLG by a great measure. It's much prettier than any other Pokemon game on the Switch or 3DS, and being able to use your own Pokemon as mounts is everything Pokemon had needed for years up to that point. Miraidon and Kuraidon are neat ideas, but I suspect the feeling of riding on them won't even come close to the adrenaline rush players got from mounting their Persian, Charizard, Dragonite, Rhydon, etc. It's a great game.
>the core gameplay loop of pokemon is fine
On the gameboy, maybe. For modern games? Absolutely not. Every game should be using the PLA catch system. Having to always battle things to catch them is an unfun waste of time.
I really hate the throw shit in Let's Go even though I like the kiddy artstyle for what it is.
I prefer killing and battling my way through the wildlife.
Never trust an LGPE gay. They're some of the worst pokemon games ever made. >no abilities >no items >no safari zone >only has 151 pokemon + a Go mon, doesn't even have cross gen evos >forces you to have to do a bunch of moronic requirements before facing gym leaders >no sevii islands or anything comparable >would have to buy a $50 shitty controller usable only for LGPE to get Mew when you can just do an easy glitch to get it in the original >must use joycons, a pro controller will not work >numerous moves cut >even with the game clearly not being intended to be competitive they could have at least had the foresight to have a move that gets rid of stealth rocks but no >piss easy even by pokemon standards >has less content than FRLG >arguably less content than fricking RBY on the original gameboy over 20 years ago
It's terrible, barebones, lazy dogshit.
>IT’S BAD BECAUSE IT DOESNT HAVE [thing that doesn’t actually make the game better but I cry about wanting anyway simply because other pokemon games have it]
Not really sure wat you mean by this, LGBT is fricking hideous as well. It's also not even really a mainline game, it's a shitty spin-off of an utterly dogshit mobile game
Is the FRLG hate boner a meme or were all of you so utterly mindbroken by the tileset and soundfont that you can't see that FRLG are the best Kanto games?
RBY>LGPE>FRLG
there’s literally no reason to play FRLG. If I want nostalgia RBY is better and if I want modern mechanics and QoL then LGPE is better. FRLG offers nothing except for johto filler islands that only add like an hour of gameplay to the game.
LGPE has rematches and better designs. LGPE Red looks way better than FRLG Red. LGPE has better teams too, Misty is packing fricking Scald on her Starmie. The only flaw of LGPE is that homosexualron Trace.
True about designs. LGPE did a good job by going back to the more classic designs for most characters. I grew bored of FRLG designs, while the Gen I designs always felt timeless to me. LGPE keeps the right balance between old and new but being more on the Gen I side. Also, most of the Trainer Class designs are perfect (only Ace Trainers are meh).
Actually, this is the reason why I want Let's GO Johto to happen. Maybe it'd reverse some of HGSS's awful design choices (also in terms of world design), such as edgelord Morty, loose Sabrina, coniferous Ilex Forest, fricked-up Ruins of Alph etc. If it's more faithful to GSC gameplay- and worldbuilding-wise, then I'm all for it.
he'll probably say this and it being on Gen 4 engine yeah
Jesus christ not everyone is part of some moronic discord raid, chill out. I don't have any problems with the level curve actually and I don't get the shitflinging around it. HGSS are some of my favorite pokemon games but that doesn't mean they're perfect. Imagine having a nuanced opinion about something, what a novel concept.
I'd say the fact that LGPE maps are more detailed makes them look cramped. In older games you had your imagination filling in the stuff the games could not show, in 3D that is no longer possible making moving around the environment feel bad.
>LGPE Red looks way better than FRLG Red.
would matter if you didn't have an OC as a protag >Misty is packing fricking Scald on her Starmie
would matter if you didn't have Pikachu with 50BP priority move always critical hit >The only flaw of LGPE is that homosexualron Trace.
wrong, it's one of LGPE's many flaws. probably the biggest of them tho
Fire-red because it plays faster and I don't need the game to be slow as frick and interrupt me for a game I've played before and intimately know the story
LGPE. OW encounters alone make it the better game.
even if those encounters don't involve battles?
why would they need to involve battles?
clicking move once to weaken it and then clicking A on the pokeball button until the RNG lets me catch the pokemon isn't fun gameplay
more fun than throwing pokeballs, I like the thrill of the hunt, the ball-only game is too passivist.

oh you bet
took me a second.
frick off pokephile.
It quite literally is though.
They made the fat guy thin, lawl.
I hate nu-Pokémon but FRLG is so shit that I have to give it to LGPE here.
new not "nu"
learn to spell
I like the trainer parties and available pokemon in LGPE more. The catching is annoying but whatever.
I really hate the throw shit in Let's Go even though I like the kiddy artstyle for what it is.

FRLG by a country mile
International Red and Blue for the Gameboy
I like FRLG more than most people. I got my pokdex up to 385 on Leaf Green.
Maybe LGPE would be the better one if it had the Sevii islands.
Never trust an LGPE gay. They're some of the worst pokemon games ever made.

>only has 151 pokemon + a Go mon, doesn't even have cross gen evos
>forces you to have to do a bunch of moronic requirements before facing gym leaders
>no sevii islands or anything comparable
>would have to buy a $50 shitty controller usable only for LGPE to get Mew when you can just do an easy glitch to get it in the original
>must use joycons, a pro controller will not work
>numerous moves cut
>even with the game clearly not being intended to be competitive they could have at least had the foresight to have a move that gets rid of stealth rocks but no
>piss easy even by pokemon standards
>has less content than FRLG
>arguably less content than fricking RBY on the original gameboy over 20 years ago
It's terrible, barebones, lazy dogshit.
>IT’S BAD BECAUSE IT DOESNT HAVE [thing that doesn’t actually make the game better but I cry about wanting anyway simply because other pokemon games have it]
Not a LGPEgay, but the only legit complain here is the lack of Sevii Islands and the 151.
>would have to buy a $50 shitty controller usable only for LGPE to get Mew when you can just do an easy glitch to get it in the original
It's even easier to get Mew in BDSP.
This, it could have genuinely been good because of the OW encounters and many other possibilities but they straight up made it bad BY DESIGN
I've not played LGPE but I love FRLG
FRLG is somehow uglier than the majority of world leaders, so LGPE
Not really sure wat you mean by this, LGBT is fricking hideous as well. It's also not even really a mainline game, it's a shitty spin-off of an utterly dogshit mobile game

>edgelord Morty
Since when is wearing a black sweater edgy. HGSS has flaws but the character designs and updated region are most definitely not that
Lemme guess, the "flaws" (You) mean are muh level curve and not un-erupting Cinnabar?
he'll probably say this and it being on Gen 4 engine yeah

Yeah. Shit like Route 17 and Cinnabar Island was completely ruined by LGPE imo

FRLG has really nothing going for it, even ruining the soulful 8-bit tunes with muffled sounds
I guess it has some boring postgame content tho
