Anniversary edition is a scam if you didn't get it as a free update. Most nexus mods don't work with it and the only thing is adds is community made creation kit stuff.

    creation club stuff basically.
It’s a mixed bag of awesome and shite.

It's just basically including the Creation Club shit on top of some other minor changes and additions like fishing. It also broke many mods which require updating again.

    Incompatible mods.
Anniversary is actually kind of a joke but people moved over to it anyway. And that means that if you want new mods you need Anniversary, but if you want old niche mods you can't run them on Anniversary.

    Nothing. No, seriously, nothing.
    >Creation Club content
Can be easily pirated and installed with your preferred mod manager.
    >Continued support
Read the patch notes for the most recent AE updates and decide whether this is worth half of your script extender based mods breaking for an indeterminate amount of time whenever someone decides to fix a typo or minor bug.

You could put it in a bookshelf in order to get infinite uses off it as it'd never vanish when used from there

Fricking, Bethesda, they'll fix an exploit that harms no one but won't fix dozens of quest breaking bugs, nothing but spite would explain such a thing.

Fishing mechanics and like 500 paid mods from Bethesda's Creation Club added for free iirc.
There's no graphical change whatsoever, that already happened for the Special Edition compared to the Legendary Edition.

99% of Skyrim mods no longer work and even if you didn't get anniversary, if you updated SE your game is now fricked.

do mods even work with this new gog version? cause these mod organizer gays or whoever force me to fake owning the game o nsteam every time

Anniversary ruins it, put too much mod shit in and makes the game a joke.

    Stick to SE.

with all the bullshit updates and how cancer the skyrim modsing scene is I don't think I'll ever install skyrim with mods again. probably just tiny stuff like skyui.

AE has creation club exclusive mods maybe some bug fix stuff (lol). only SE mods that don't work with AE are SKSE dll dependent mods that havent been updated (most were updated), although skyrim just updated so they may all need to be updated again I dunno.

I would go with SE unless there's an AE/CC mod you really want as the NET script framework is pretty invaluable for debugging and there's no AE equivalent so when you have a corrupt mesh you get fricked.
