Steam isn’t gonna just flat-out say “look this is totally different than anything in your library” because that implies you might not like it. So they’ll find something you own to compare it to even if it’s a stretch.
For steam, it's a free game that could get/retain customers, and at it's worst it just takes up some space on their servers.
For the devs, it's a way to build a portfolio, or gain some fans so they can sell their later works. In a lot of cases, nobody would buy your game if you added a pricetag, but some gay might donate to you if they play your game and like it.
How do you hide your games from steam friends besides making your account private?
I have some people on friend list who I know in real life and I wouldn't want them to know.
Don't you still have to pay a $100 publishing fee? Seems like you lose money. Of course if your game is really good you could possibly make up with merchandise, but 99% of free games are shovelware
Nobody really knows. Valve lost their way a decade ago but since Steam prints money with very little effort or upkeep required they just keep existing and doing silly things.
Sometimes just sometimes If a game is good enough I actually consider buying it just to support and not the be a ngg. Sadly Most of the time money is dry af
So that someone might actually see your game and play it. That $100 entry fee gets you lot, Steam basically bends backwards and does a lot of heavy-lifting to get your game in front of players' eyes, without you having to do anything.
Compare that to something like itch.io, where you can promote promote promote, put out ads, try to get friends and family to download your game in hopes of getting the algorithm to pick up your game, and your game will still most likely never been seen by another human being. You are entirely at the mercy of the mods and their heavily-curated lists.
$100 is a small price to pay just to get some fricking distribution power in this saturated market.
>Steam basically bends backwards and does a lot of heavy-lifting to get your game in front of players' eyes, without you having to do anything.
Isn't that false?
No. I am speaking from experience. I didn't do a damn thing and I started getting a lot of views and even downloads. Then once the game passed 20 reviews steam started promoting my game even more and I started seeing that I was getting thousands of views per day. Their algorithm actually tries to promote games, which I appreciate.
>be indie dev >make a few simple, but polished games >release them on steam for free >people see it and figure "why not?" >get a bunch of downloads >people start donating to my patreon >they'll be more likely to buy a game from me in the future because they liked it, and new people will see that my free games had decent reviews so they'll give me a chance >if i just released a paid game out of nowhere, not nearly as many people would have bought and played it
>Kagura Games
There was a time when they only translated Acerola Games, they were internet heroes because of it. Now, they just take the two year old "completed" projects from F95 and license them for profit. Even the pricing is insane on older games. To make things worse, they sit on new Acerola games forever.
Can take advantage of steam infrastructure and possibly reach a wider audience.
What's the point of being moronic?
Whats the point to answer in moronic threads?
I can't believe people memed this shitty game so hard as if it's anything impressive.
Holy hell the translation looks like ass.
Also, does this even have all the content?
You got my attention OP
is it porn
Yes.
It's Papers Please: Hentai Edition
Easy access to processing power for crypto mining.
Free money off morons who can't into F95
>100 hours yuckuza
>played ass queef
opinion discarded
kek nicely spotted
More importantly
Yakuza and asscreed are similar to hentai papers please?
because it's japanese and medieval? idk i don't play ass creed
they are not similar, just shows that OP has shit taste
Steam isn’t gonna just flat-out say “look this is totally different than anything in your library” because that implies you might not like it. So they’ll find something you own to compare it to even if it’s a stretch.
They do say that sometimes.
Might be because of the tags.
Steam's tagging system is utterly moronic so practically every game has every tag possible
All three games have the
>masterpiece
tag.
>papers please but if it had worse graphics and used a shittier engine
Frick off shill.
Man, being in a dominant position over everyone you violate in this game PPs me hard.

make another account homosexual
...
You know, it never occurred to me to think about it. Maybe because I'm lazy enough to not want to handle two accounts.
Thanks.
>not topping the leaderboards of hentai games played with a coomax account
ngmi
Grow a backbone homosexual.
Nah, I'm not a Chad to just shrug it off. They know I'm a virgin, so it would look even more pathetic.
Getting some fame and building up a fanbase at the start of your dev career.
That's assuming people take free games seriously and actually play them.
If your game is free, then Steam's 30% cut of it is $0
Don't you still have to pay a $100 publishing fee? Seems like you lose money. Of course if your game is really good you could possibly make up with merchandise, but 99% of free games are shovelware
>no gender check with traps like the actual papers please
massive missed opportunity
You can frick dudes in this game and shotas dressed as maids so it's not like he was trying tk avoid gay content
You can make it to where you only check women
Nobody really knows. Valve lost their way a decade ago but since Steam prints money with very little effort or upkeep required they just keep existing and doing silly things.
>there's people that only played the game years ago and haven't even seen the new features, girls and CGs
show us then
>there are people who didn't play the content patch with added girls, scenes and dialogue
Does the content patch work on the latest version? 1.75, I think it was that I have.
>check her papers
>all clear
>frick her anyway
>deny her entry
Damn, she is hot
Looks good, but is the gameplay enhanced or are these things just tacked on?
The sandbox that I played wasn't interesting for long
ngh
What the frick is my assistant doing here
You can call him in after you beat the game to either dominate him or to force him to watch in the corner.
I wouldn't make him a cuck, the poor guy. He might be a beastman, but he's a based beastman.
He won't get laid unless you frick him.
I believe in him. He can find a nice woman to settle down with. I'll help him do it if I must.
Sometimes you can get good shit like Mafia
So that you can play it for free obviously
So is there added content or is this just going to be the unpatched original?
Sometimes just sometimes If a game is good enough I actually consider buying it just to support and not the be a ngg. Sadly Most of the time money is dry af
>What's the point of adding free games onto steam?
Some people make things for fun, not for money anon.
The other option is building a reputation

His previous game is pretty fun
>femMC
The art actually looks better here.
You're still a virgin if you only take up your ass. That's common knowledge.
Sorry I'm not part of the homosexual underground, I don't know all the ins and outs of homosexualry.
Np bro. Have a sexy friday.
You too.
I likes game when you can change various kind of classes
What game?
Harem Fantasy is the title
Thanks.
Why doesn't this chink just pay a translator? There's like 100 lines of text max in this game

It's a good game.
any other games like this where I can abuse my position of power?
>80Presented by G.
>good subs for season 3 past episode 4 never ever
Now I begin to understand why publishers are so lawyer-happy.
exposure. steam is where the normalgay market is.
